For a decadent good time try hitting up Rolled over at Ranch Harrah. My family loves this special treat and it's always a giggle to watch these college kids preform their rolled ice cream art. I love that traditionally this type of ice cream is served with chopsticks. That always fun! They run specials for college students so check that out. The servers are so polite and happy to help in any way. The location is wonderful with outdoor seating along the green belt of this property. So fun!

This is an amazing experience of a very unique freshly made ice cream. Every order is hand made right in front of your eyes in the store! The server is talented and attentive. The shop is shared with Dorinda's Chocolates in Rancharrah which makes for one's taste buds to be searching for delicious flavors all around. The ambiance is friendly and colorful. The first bite of the rolled mountain ice cream is an experience of happiness and joy when one tastes the ice cream and feels the smoothness.

First time trying this place out and it did not disappointed me, the amount you get it's pretty good the ice cream was really good, the service was great, the atmosphere was very chill...

We were at the Village for a daytime event that started at 10am, and around noon, my 3-year-old really wanted ice cream. We stopped by the shop, but the guy at the counter informed us that they didn't have ice cream available yet, as they were waiting for someone to come prepare it. He said they'd be about 10 minutes out. We came back twice over the next 30 minutes, but the first time, we were mostly ignored and there was still no one at the ice cream counter. On our second return, the guy finally went to the ice cream counter but seemed confused, asking someone else what he could make. After making the order for the person ahead of us, he eventually made our ice cream. While the ice cream itself was delicious, with a huge serving, it cost about $13 for the most basic treat on the menu. What really bothered me was that the guy was wearing rubber gloves the entire time and never changed them- not even between customers and some people have allergies/food sensitivities. He also used the register, texted on his phone, and then handled the next ice cream without switching gloves, which was pretty off-putting. I understand they might have been short-staffed, but his attitude made it clear that our returns for ice cream were frustrating to him. The lack of hygiene was disappointing and overshadowed the quality of the ice cream.

This place was pretty neat. Plant of sweet treats to plus up any occasion. I browsed a bit before making my way over to the ice cream station. They have plenty of presets you can get or you can make a custom. Being a bit overwhelmed cause I didn't really know what the deal was I just went with a preset choice. They have two options for milk which is regular or oat. Ended up with the salted Carmel with reg milk and damn it was good. All the savory and sweet you could need. Also it's a plus that you watch them make the ice cream right there. They pour the milk on a cold plate and form it up like they are putting mud on drywall. Once it's frozen enough the add the toppings and roll it up. Definitely a fun spot for a tasty treat.

I already had enjoyed a decent amount of my ice cream before I remembered to take a picture. This was perfect for a hot summer day by the river. The strawberry ice cream topped with strawberries was refreshing. The employees were very helpful with ordering. It was a blast to watch them chop and roll up the ice cream!

Who doesn't love ice cream?? For years I've been a fan of Dorinda's chocolates and Rolled Ice Cream on Riverside. Now she has a location in the new Rancharrah Village. This new location puts me equal distance from both, darn. :) Both have great outdoor seating and the ability to buy Dorinda's fabulous chocolates while getting your ice cream. Each dish of ice cream is made fresh to order while you wait, and watch. Choose from milk or soy for vegans. Then a flavor. It's Dorinda's, so I always choose chocolate. There are fruit flavors and mint available. Next pick a mix, again, duh, I add chocolate. The mix ins are available on the counter to check out and pick from. If you really can't decide on a combination, the staff lists their favorite creations on the menu board. The ingredients are mixed together on a frozen griddle, smoothed into a sheet, then cut into strips and rolled. Spoons and napkins are by the door as you head outside to enjoy it. There's no inside seating available at the current time. The Village offers a great seating area. Plenty of easy, free parking right behind Dorinda's.

This is my first time at the Rancharrah location! I used to go to the location on Riverside years ago so my friend and I decided to visit this location while in the area. This location is nestled in a beautiful location. There is no indoor seating but there is plenty of outdoor seating. This would be a place that you could go with a big group of friends with! Upon entering, the place is smaller and snug. There is also a counter that you could buy chocolates at. The menu is portrayed on a screen and they have a variety of flavors to choose from - it was hard to choose just one and I was impressed in the flavors they had! I ended up getting the Aimee's Grasshopper without mint, so it's nice they accept adaptations to orders. My friend got the Samoa and both our ice creams were pretty good! Service was quick when we went on a Monday evening. I recommend checking this place out for a different ice cream experience since you get to see them roll your order out!

What a novelty...Mud pie for me. Don't share with someone else. Back again next time for sure. Yum yum yum

So many yummy selections. We got the cookies & cream with oatmilk 10/10. Can't wait to go back and try more flavors. Try it out when you're in the area!

After driving around a bit inside the 'Village' I found the creamery which is kind of tucked into a corner. Signage on the shops are not easy to read; small and light in color- say wood burning special. Shop itself is well set up so you can watch the fun of the ice cream 'Roller' ! Quite a variety of flavors, additions to add to basic cream, AND they not only carry NV milk, but vegan coconut milk! The serving size I received was for one ( I think, but I hope not) and I have to say I ate the whole thing by myself:) and I'm not ashamed to admit it. There are Adirondack chairs scattered about with a very large fireplace, so it was a beautiful warm day and I sat overlooking the large chess set and bocce court. Very pleasant surroundings. You have to check it out!

The scone was a little too flaky, in my opinion, but was still very tasty. It didn't look like a lot of food, but we were both very satisfied. I am definitely going to bring my Mom back for this. Also, the mini cakes here (not included in high tea) are absolutely gorgeous. They are not too sweet, and remind me of what I used to get at cafes in Japan. My favorite that I've tried so far is the blueberry cake. I love them all though. Can't wait to try more!

I hadn't yet had a chance to try their chocolate, and this was an amazing opportunity to not only try a wide variety (mint meltaway, peanut butter cup, espresso bean, chocolate pretzel), but to also make some by hand! Visitors were allowed back into the kitchen, where we washed hands and donned gloves, and were then given a tutorial in how to dip and decorate dark chocolate salted caramels. Mine were not too bad (I'll keep my day job), but they absolutely tasted delicious. All of the chocolates had a very fresh and distinctly non-mass-produced taste. Dorinda's clearly offers high-quality candies, while also coming up with some amazing flavors like the rice crispies and the strawberry balsamic. (I got to taste the actual olive oil used for this, and I will have to pick some up next time I'm in Truckee). The biggest surprise was their cherry cordial. Cherries are my top 2 favorite chocolates, and these are absolutely the best I've had (better than See's, Godiva, etc.). Perfect blend of dark chocolate, tart maraschino cherry, liquid center, and the bit of fondant icing...and noticeably freshly made. Thank you Dorinda's for the opportunity to discover your chocolates and to get a glimpse into the magic behind these delicious candies. TIP: You can also pre-order and pick up your Frost Giant Creamery (small batch, locally sourced, made from scratch) ice cream here. I kept hearing everyone say, "Wow, that's good!" after tasting their Nevada Gold sample.

When we arrived, every table was full, so we grabbed seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great spot to watch the bartenders create beautiful drinks, including some of their signature cocktails served in a glass purse for parties of two or more. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with groups celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. After looking over the menu, we decided on the lox crostini bites and the bruschetta. We each ordered a glass of sparkling wine. I added a chocolate rim to mine, which was fun to look at, although it didn't add much flavor. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching the flowing chocolate waterfall. Considering how busy the bar was, our food arrived quickly. The crostini were crisp, and both appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The only drawback was the volume of the DJ, but we knew what to expect as soon as we walked through the door. This is definitely a fun place for parties and groups looking for a lively night out. One last observation: I probably wouldn't choose this spot for a group of men. The décor and overall vibe are very much geared toward women, but the name says it all.
