Let's DO the Truffle shuffle!! Okayyy really this is a thing with my hubby, he comes in to Dorinda's Chocolates stares at the truffles andd I swear to you his heart skips a beat and his feet start to shuffle....bahahahhaaaa I had you going now didn't I LOL!! In all honesty my hubby does LOVE truffles and Dorinda's Chocolates is an absolute MUST!! andd does he share...NOT a chance - just kidding!! But he does select the most ahhhmazing flavors that Dorinda's has too offer along with Chocolate Dipped Mangos plus individual pieces of decadent chocolates like Sea Salt Caramels and The Kraken that are absolutely TO DIE FOR. Whether your a chocolate lover, looking for that perfect Gift Basket or your sweet tooth is beckoning you to do the Truffle Shuffle...Dorinda's Chocolates and the staff here will serve up everything you could possibly need with good service and deliciousness to take home, share or gift.

Making my special order!

We came here on Wednesday and ended up chatting with Dustin for quite a while. He's one of the owners. He talk to us about his chocolates and gave us a couple of samples. The caramels were excellent! He also explained how their ice cream is individually made to order. . We said we would be back later that day but my step brother ended up in the hospital and we were at Saint Mary's all afternoon and evening. We made an effort to go by on Thursday at noon before we headed home to Southern California. Sophia warmly greeted us upon arrival and provided a great show while making our ice cream. My husband had the chocolate with Marchiano cherries and thought it was amazing. I went with the peanut butter bomb using chocolate ice cream. We also bought some caramels to take home with us. We will definitely return next time we come to visit our parents.

What's not to love about another Dorinda's location ? Now I'm equal distance from The Village and the Riverside Drive locations. Just like the other, you can get your chocolate and rolled ice cream fix here. Walk in the front and peruse the packaged chocolates, or check out the large case on the right for individual handmade delights. Then to the back of the shop is the rolled ice cream counter. Place your order and pick your chocolates, then pay altogether with card or cash. There's no seating inside, but on a beautiful day there is plenty of comfortable seating located all around The Village. Dorinda's has been my locally made favorite chocolate for years now. I've lost track. Always fresh with no preservatives. The sea salt caramels are the perfect gooey cube dipped in decadent dark chocolate with just the right amount of sea salt resting on top. The dark chocolate bars with cocoa nibs or sea salt are the perfect nibble in the evening. Prescored for a precise bit every time. And teaming up with Hub Coffee- Dorinda has created a crunchy sensation. There's my three favorites if you ever need a gift idea for me. :) This new location has a large parking lot on its back side for quick and easy pick ups. Remember to never leave your delicious delicacies in the car on warm days. That's chocolate abuse. PS - Dorinda, I love the new packaging on my chocolate bars. Classy

Love Dorinda's chocolates and they were serving up some tasty hot chocolate for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony last night. Topped with marshmallows and cinnamon, it was a warm welcome and took the chill off from our chilly Reno evenings. Lots of foot traffic at the shop in the Village at Rancharrah off of Kietzke. Beautiful designer candies and coffee/chocolate drinks.

What great treat! We were at Donner Lake for some fun in the sun and decided to explore more. We parked and right in front of us was Dorindas. If you enjoy wonder quality Chocolate come here you will be rewarded with seasonal and classic chocolates.

Dorinda's is a reno local favorite and they are thriving! Their original location is off of he Truckee river, near downtown Reno. Their new location is in Rancharrah Village. Rancharrah. I'll she is a gorgeous outdoor shopping center, which is the perfect location for Dorinda's second location. Dorinda's is open from 12pm to 9pm daily. You can find all of your Dorinda's favorites! This location is open and spacious! Lots of greenery and yard games. There is ample parking. Come for Dorinda's and explore the shops.

Best chocolatier in Reno!! Great selection, friendly staff & both locations are very cute.

Found this spot as a happy accident after visiting another business nearby. As a fat kid in denial, I had to visit. The selection was so amazing and I would have easily had one (or two or three) of each but I was able to control myself I only pick my top 5. It was not an easy decision but I am a strong man. Definitely would visit more often, good thing it is a little out of the way for me so maybe only for special occasions :) Just outside there is a fireplace and you can sit by and enjoy the creamy chocolates. It made for a good dessert, a relaxing time and a special moment with someone.

Love the new location of Dorinda's at Rancharrah. Another bonus is that they share space Rolled Mountain Creamery. All the same wonderful chocolates Dorinda's is known for and the Rancharrah Center is gorgeous. Customer service was outstanding and love that they are offering a Pride promotion.

Hey Dorinda's! Your delicious chocolates truly "wowed" me last eve at your wine and chocolate pairing party. Never imagined the 'delish' fun of a mouthful of gorgeous wine and superior chocolates could be like this. Of the 4 pieces I tried, I had a tough time deciding which one I liked the most: Toasty Blonde or Wild Orange. It was a tie! A lovely event even with the raindrops! It was a bit tricky figuring out where your shop was, no large sign posted, so for a new local and a marketing exec., might I suggest better signage? I want my followers not to pass you buy.... go IN and BUY the best chocolates in Reno!

An amazing event!
Tina B.

By far my most favorite event in town is Dorindas Wine & Chocolate pairing!!! You'll get WAAAAAYYYYY better wine than the swill served up at the Wine Walk and hands down the best Chocolate This is a local family business and you get treated like a guest in their home. I love it!

The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful as this was our 1st tea time. The shop is bright and airy but it was a a bit smaller than I expected. The tea setting was beautifully done but our table was extremely small which made teatime challenging at times. During the teas each person gets their own pot of unlimited tea. We did the Jasmine Glow tea and the Strawberry Chocolate Pu'erh. The teas were amazingly delicious! They were so good that we bought some to bring home. The bites were flavorful, just the right size, and complemented each other beautifully. You could taste the love and care that went into each one of the items. They also offer 2 speciality adult beverages each month. The Prosecco float was my favorite! This was a wonderful and delicious experience. We can't wait for next month's tea!

We sat down and ordered the tea we liked. We each got to choose our own tea and was told we could try as many as we want. I liked the pacing; I was able to have a long conversation with my friend without feeling rushed and no interruptions. Everything that came out was delicious. The scone was a little too flaky, in my opinion, but was still very tasty. It didn't look like a lot of food, but we were both very satisfied. I am definitely going to bring my Mom back for this. Also, the mini cakes here (not included in high tea) are absolutely gorgeous. They are not too sweet, and remind me of what I used to get at cafes in Japan. My favorite that I've tried so far is the blueberry cake. I love them all though. Can't wait to try more!

Their team recently welcomed our staff for a tour of their headquarters, and it was such a treat to see how much care goes into what they make. Every piece is handcrafted by their small local team, and you can feel the pride they take in their work. We also got to taste their seasonal Key Lime Pie Bonbon, which was incredible. On top of the tour, Dorinda's donated several huge bags of pretzels for our clients and staff to enjoy. Dorinda's has also participated in our But First, Dessert Gala every year from 2022 through 2025 and is a three-time winner of our Best Dessert Award, which says a lot because the competition is always strong. We are grateful to have Dorinda's as a neighbor, a partner, and a local business that genuinely shows up for the community. Highly recommend supporting this amazing local business and community supporter!

I hadn't yet had a chance to try their chocolate, and this was an amazing opportunity to not only try a wide variety (mint meltaway, peanut butter cup, espresso bean, chocolate pretzel), but to also make some by hand! Visitors were allowed back into the kitchen, where we washed hands and donned gloves, and were then given a tutorial in how to dip and decorate dark chocolate salted caramels. Mine were not too bad (I'll keep my day job), but they absolutely tasted delicious. All of the chocolates had a very fresh and distinctly non-mass-produced taste. Dorinda's clearly offers high-quality candies, while also coming up with some amazing flavors like the rice crispies and the strawberry balsamic. (I got to taste the actual olive oil used for this, and I will have to pick some up next time I'm in Truckee). The biggest surprise was their cherry cordial. Cherries are my top 2 favorite chocolates, and these are absolutely the best I've had (better than See's, Godiva, etc.). Perfect blend of dark chocolate, tart maraschino cherry, liquid center, and the bit of fondant icing...and noticeably freshly made. Thank you Dorinda's for the opportunity to discover your chocolates and to get a glimpse into the magic behind these delicious candies. TIP: You can also pre-order and pick up your Frost Giant Creamery (small batch, locally sourced, made from scratch) ice cream here. I kept hearing everyone say, "Wow, that's good!" after tasting their Nevada Gold sample.

Brunch is all day on Sundays however they do have a lunch menu starting at 12pm, so we ordered from each menu. The ahi nachos were great, thick pieces of tuna and a great sauce drizzled over. When we arrived, every table was full, so we grabbed seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great spot to watch the bartenders create beautiful drinks, including some of their signature cocktails served in a glass purse for parties of two or more. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with groups celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. After looking over the menu, we decided on the lox crostini bites and the bruschetta. We each ordered a glass of sparkling wine. I added a chocolate rim to mine, which was fun to look at, although it didn't add much flavor. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching the flowing chocolate waterfall. Considering how busy the bar was, our food arrived quickly. The crostini were crisp, and both appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The only drawback was the volume of the DJ, but we knew what to expect as soon as we walked through the door. This is definitely a fun place for parties and groups looking for a lively night out. One last observation: I probably wouldn't choose this spot for a group of men. The décor and overall vibe are very much geared toward women, but the name says it all.

That said I do want to share one honest observation. On top of premium pricing -- which I'm happy to pay for quality -- Perenn also charges subscribers for their Substack newsletter. For an independent bakery scraping by, that makes complete sense. For a thriving six-location restaurant group with real momentum and expansion capital, it feels like a bridge too far. The brand story and the people behind it are genuinely compelling -- that content should be how you invite customers deeper into your world, not an additional revenue line. The food earns five stars. The Substack paywall earns a raised eyebrow. Share your story freely -- you've clearly earned the audience.
