    Tea and accompanied goodies

Went to insomnia cookies and we couldn't resist checking out a cup of tea or two. The four of us sat down all trying different teas that were served by the wonderful owners and served in cute French presses. We all had unique cups. Tea is delicious and loved my little butter cookies that came with it. It's cozy and there are fun games to play while there. Loved the bathroom chandelier and the bunny poop sign. Gotta see it to laugh. I will be going back. It's a great late night stop without the alcohol but they've got Kava.

What a cool vibe with cool drinks. Kava is a new to me thing and I dig it. We had a delightful little tropical drink and I immediately felt the effects. Service was great and I'll definitely be back to try all their conconctions

This is my favorite place to get a drink and sit on my computer. It's such a vibe in here, it's small but makes it feel very comfy. The owner is extremely nice and very passionate about kava which I love. The workers are always friendly and recommending drinks if you are new. They have board games, WiFi and they have bingo nights. They are open late and have a comfy couch to sit on and read, write or some some homework. I absolutely love this spot, it's one of my favorite places in Reno! You have to check it out, people also tend to go to insomnia cookies which is right next door. Great to come and be social and have non alcoholic beverages with a lounge vibe!

Inside, there're Chinese menu items all along the wall, with a nice and intimate vibe. The server was nice, and we were seated quickly. I got the build your own combo with popcorn chicken and the beef noodle soup. Everything in the combo was tasty, but I do wish that the vegetables were unsalted, since everything else has a very strong flavor. I would definitely go again!

Unfortunately, the flavors were quite different from what I expected. The food wasn't bad, but it tasted different from what I'm used to. The popcorn chicken was more on the sweet side rather than savory. The fried rice was okay but not very flavorful. The zha jiang mian was also sweeter than expected. Usually the ones I've had in Asia are very savory. I've even had zha jiang mian in Alameda, California, and that version was savory, not sweet at all. At one point my husband even wondered if they might have accidentally used sugar instead of salt. The mapo tofu was also a bit too sweet. The best one was the beef noodle soup. That was 7/10 it was my favorite out of all. In general, we didn't enjoy the food very much. The service was okay. I understand they were very busy, so it's understandable. The restaurant itself is clean but extremely packed and busy.

Big bonus: the lounge space and games. Even cuter is that they update the decorations based on holidays! It's chill, welcoming, and actually a place you can hang out, not just grab a drink and bounce. Minor hang-ups (nothing deal-breaking): - It's not always clear which drinks are one-size vs. which have multiple sizes.. and some drinks have photos, most don't. Ordering for kids gets tricky when they absolutely do not need a mega-sized sugar rocket. - I wish the food options were more consistent. I've seen steamed buns, bubble waffles, and snacks, but availability is hit-or-miss. - Would also sweeten the vibe if they had background music. Maybe they do, I just couldn't hear it? Bottom line: Excellent drinks, creative menu, great vibes. Tighten up the sizing clarity and food consistency and this place is flirting with perfection.

When we were ordering, the employee mentioned it came in a special kitty cup with a cute lid, which got my daughter excited. Unfortunately, when we picked it up, they told us they were out of the lids, even though it had been pitched to us moments earlier. That said, the drink itself was excellent. It looked beautiful, the flavors worked perfectly together, and my daughter absolutely loved it. As for the atmosphere, it was... fine. Not terrible, just not very memorable. They have a small play area for kids, which is nice, but the overall aesthetic felt a little unfinished and could use some freshening up. I also didn't notice indoor seating besides the play area, so we ended up leaving with our drinks. Even with the small hiccups, we'll definitely be back. The drink was delicious, and my daughter enjoyed it.

It's great that their milk base is already non-dairy and that you can adjust your sweetness level. There's lots of tea options and topping options. The staff was friendly and did a stellar job with making my boba drink. I ordered original boba milk tea at 20% sweetness - it was perfect. Not too sweet and the boba consistency was just right! One of the best bobas in town. I also ordered the vanilla egg waffle and it was nice and crispy in the outside. They even have an air hockey and foosball table. The fact that they have halo halo drinks is definitely a plus in my book because I've been craving it and I can't find Halo halo anywhere in Reno. They had two options: Taro/Ube or Buko Pandan. I went with the Buko Pandan (if you know, you know). And my husband got the Tiger smoothie. The halo halo isn't the traditional dessert where you use a spoon and eat it, BUT I love the convenience of it being a drink and using the same ingredients anyway. I do like the Buko Pandan flavor so next time I'm going to try the Ube. The Tiger smoothie was also really delicious! You can taste both the Thai tea and the milk. It was on the sweeter side, but was still pretty delicious. There was only one employee working the store so it did take a while because a lot of other people showed up after us. But I'll definitely be back to try more things!
