I'd give five stars except it took over a week to even get an appointment this most recent time I used them (being told repeatedly that someone would call back to set a time and then hearing nothing for days.) So this is not the best service for an emergency, it seems. I depend on my scooter and, when it acts up, it means I can't leave my home unaided. Thank heavens they do come out to the home - I don't have a vehicle into which the scooter can fit for transport. The service however, has been impeccable both times they've come out. I've been seen by both Dave and Scott and they both have excellent knowledge of how mobility devices work, what problems are likely to be experienced and what to do about them. The second, most recent, service visit turned out to be due to my batteries failing while still under warantee but Scott also went over my scooter thoroughly to make sure that there were no unexpected glitches. There was no charge for this nor for the call and, as someone who is disabled and on a fixed income, I appreciated this more than I can say! He also gave me tips for getting the most out of my scooter in the future and left me feeling comfortable that it isn't going to poop out on me next time I go to the store! So, their service gets 5 stars and I hope they get the scheduling stuff straightened out because they really deserve to be a full 5 star review. We'll see what happens next time and, if possible, I'll upgrade my review. read more

I have been in a mobility device since an accident in 1984. Sometimes in the mid-80's these lovely people started taking care of my chairs. Dave took care of my Amigo scooter until it finally died in 2012 or so (it was so old it had only analog parts and just couldn't be fixed anymore). Scott and David have taken care of my Pride Jazzy and now my Invacare Torque SP. They respond promptly to their web form and to calls for help. They come down to San Jose and promptly fix whatever needs doing. Scott even helped me find the Invacare I currently use when I needed to find a chair with power tilt and legs. So I've had thirty years of excellent service. I could not recommend them more highly. read more

Six years ago, I needed to have a ramp installed quickly. Another company came out and essentially told me that, given the space available, it was impossible; the rep then tried to sell me a much more expensive stair lift. My next call was to Rollin' Along. David came to our house, looked around, made some measurements, and suggested that instead of a ramp from the front porch to the walkway, one could be installed from the back porch to the patio, which would allow me to then maneuver my husband's wheelchair through the garage and to our vehicle. I felt very pressured by the owner to buy more than I needed or could afford. I was actually in tears. (His partner seemed much nicer and much less high pressure, and appeared uncomfortable). He made me doubt the care I was giving my mother. He also then insisted he couldn't just drop of the portable ramp, but but that I need to be there and he needed to show me how to use it. Then he charged me for his time to show me how to set it up, when it was just basic unfolding, on top of the cost of the ramp. Then he informs me I will need to hire someone to drill into the concrete to allow for securing pins to be used (this was not mentioned at all before the purchase). When you need reliabe service on your car there are literally hundreds of businesses to go to for automotive repairs! However the same cannot be said for the disabled needing Wheelchair & Mobility Scooter repair. The disabled are left to the mercy of the paltry few places that will do repairs. Most of the places are not reliable nor will they work with you in scheduling a time. David was informative, patient, and was able to quickly arrange for an appointment for my parents' chairlift the same day (even though they had a very full day of appointments). He could hear we were in a bind with both of my elderly parents in need of their chair lift Scott called ahead of time and showed up on time. Thank you Rollin' Along for keeping my Lift chair in GOOD Service. I purchased a Bruno chair lift while caring for my Sister. Sis had heart trouble and could no longer live alone. After a year with me, she could no longer manage the stairs in my second story house. Our Bruno chair lift has been a God Send. It was the ONLY way Sis could get out of house. the purchase was in 2011, and the only service it has ever needed was new battery's -- one service in 2015 and now in 2019. ROLLIN' ALONG was called both times. Dave responded instantly with prompt and efficient service insuring that my Sis would not be without her life-line to the outside world. With both with the initial phone call, walking me through all the possibilities that I could readily fix myself, and with the house call to replace the batteries we were assured of prompt and reliable service. My Sis enjoyed using the chair lift for 7 years before she passed away. It enabled her to get out of the house to go to the park, movies, doctor visits, etc. This would have been impossible without the chair lift and the service that Rollin' Along gave us. These guys are very good. David and his assistant Scott are highly trained technicians who are very knowledgeable and professional. They are very thorough in diagnosing problems and are very meticulous in repairing it. I have a stair lift and, just like a car, it needs repair periodically. David or his wife answer the phone and always fits me in his schedule as promptly as possible. David also has expertly installed grip bars in my bathroom and a bar system to assist my wife, who is disabled, to get in and out of bed. My mother has terrazzo stairs which can crack easily if the person does not know what he is doing. The stairs are in perfect condition. my first review disappeared midway, so here I go again, The rubber wheel came off the small wheel on my manual wheelchair the day before my doctor's appt.. Scott saved the day & got me rolling in time for the appt. He also reattached the joy stick on an old wreck of an electric wheelchair that was dangling. Turns out he had been here years ago to service the chair for my partner who has passed away. Then the chair was under Kaiser for repair. It was so nice to see him again.
