They are truly unprofessional, they have no idea how to bill and I was just told verbatim about my husband that "it is not their responsibility to call insurance for billing issues." Don't go see Dr Tim Thomas, DDS Had an Emergency appointment today for my first visit. After my very quick tooth repair (cement a crown) and while the dentist did the paperwork, I asked if his practice favored saving teeth or just putting on a crown and told him I was asking because I was searching for a new dentist. His response was that he had other patients to see and I could make an appointment and we could discuss. He didn't have the time to answer that one question while he enter codes into my record. PLEASE READ: The staff seemed very friendly and out going, however my overall experience sucked. If you ever test your luck to come here, definitely get a second opinion. My main reason for coming here was to get braces, the staff was nice i felt comfortable until one assistant came in to ask questions and look at my teeth, she tried to be friendly and indulge in conversation however you can tell it was an act and it was fake, she never really listened and kept asking me the same question.. literally. Okay, now on to business. After the actual dentist had come in to review everything with me he says and i quote "oh great, you're coming in for braces today. We could start you today if you'd like of course.. but wait, let's double check your teeth" after that the girl came in a dug at my gums making them bleed and suggested my gums were infected, the dentist proceeded to tell me that in order to get braces (IN A YEAR) i would have to come in for the next year and get monthly check ups of dental hygiene and pay EVERY SINGLE VISIT just to LOOK at my teeth. He also tried to explain to me everything in words he knew i wouldn't understand. I was super disappointed so when they left to talk for about 30 minutes i made a phone call to an actual orthodontist and had my appointment the next day. After my free consultation with them they basically told me that the other guy completely fooled me, my dental hygiene was good, i had no gum infections and i could start my process immediately, not to mention these guys were GREAT. They cared, they were genuine and they explained everything in detail so that I'd understand. To make a long story short, the fooled me for my money, tried to scam me into paying them more money and they're not even a licensed orthodontist. MORAL of the story: do your research. read more

Very dishonest practice. They try selling unnecessary treatments giving false information to patients. They got very rude when I questioned their recommended treatment plan. That was my experience and I'm very disappointed with the staff at this practice. On November 11, 2021 , I had a routine cleaning at this office. Afterwards, Dr. Timothy told me I had a small cavity and tiny hairline fractures on my molar. I didn't have any pain from that tooth. He requested that I have a crown placed on that tooth. After meeting with him, the office manager comes to me with "my patient treatment plan," which consisted of the costly crown procedure and future expensive procedures. She also mentioned that I have great dental insurance. Next, I went to the front desk to make the appointment for the crown. She said I had to "pay for it" before they can book that appointment. The charge was higher than the 50% of my out if pocket costs. (Why not charge a $100 cancellation fee if I couldn't make that appointment?) Less than 2 weeks later, Dr. Timothy's wife, Dr. Nina put in the crown. (Dr. Nina is only there Tuesdays & Wednesdays, her husband is there only Mondays & Thursdays. They have another dental office where they work the other days.) During the procedure, Dr. Nina was very rough jamming in the crown to fit my tooth, the mouth guard dug into my jaw in the opposite side of the crown placement. She barely stopped to check my comfort level. It was very painful! My crown (not even matching my tooth color) was created in her office, not in a lab, where it would have been fitted correctly with a mold of my tooth. Later that day I called her and told her I experienced jaw and gum pain and sensitivity to the crown. She told me to wait a few days and let her know if I'm still in pain. After a week, I was still in pain. I made an appointment again with her. (She never suggested to me to see her husband who was there on other days, since I was in pain.) The following week at the appointment, Dr. Nina tried to adjust my bite to alleviate the pain. Instead it caused me painful, consistent headaches, in addition to the previous pain and sensitivity! Texting her again about the pain, and not being able to wait another week, she said she could prescribe penicillin because she thought maybe I had an infection without seeing me! She also mentioned many times and urged me to see an endodontist to alleviate my pain! Dr. Nina even mentioned that I should see a dentist who works on other days and weekends, since she was unable to see me. The following week I got a second opinion and I was told I didn't have an infection or need a root canal. The following Monday, I made an appointment online with her husband, but they cancelled my appointment with him. Why couldn't he see me? Initially, he said I needed the crown. Anyway I saw Dr. Nina the next day. She tried again to fix my bite. I'm still in pain. She had so many reasons why I had pain, but couldn't alleviate it. I had my crown put in November 23rd. It's been about a month of pain. This has been a horrible experience for me. I will continue to express my concerns for these doctors, and the office manager for their lack of compassion, honesty, integrity and understanding for my well being, and possibly other people. This office was close to me so I called with my insurance and made an appt. I was told right then and there over the phone they accepted my insurance and my cleaning appointment was covered. After going to my first appointment (cleaning) I was told I needed four cavities filled. It was suggested to split them over the coverage year so I can use my insurance twice to pay for two sides of the fillings (THANK GOD I LISTENED TO THIS) I booked for my first set of fillings and paid over $300 in advance for my OOP costs to the visit after insurance covered the rest. I came back for my appointment and had half of "cavities" filled in a timely matter but I went home in excruciating pain. I proceeded to be in severe pain for an entire month after these cavities were filled and went back to Dr. Nina twice to have them looked at. She recommended going to a root canal specialist to see if that's what I needed after having the fillings done??? Adding a insult to injury I received a bill now stating that MY INSURANCE WAS NOT ACCEPTED AT THIS OFFICE and got a bill for $1000!!! I called to find out HOW this could happen because I OBVIOUSLY wouldn't have made an appt here if my insurance WAS NOT ACCEPTED!!! Had I done all four of the cavities at the same time it would have been $2500 OOP!!!! This has never happened to me before because I always present my insurance before even scheduling an appt to ensure I am covered!! The people at the front desk obviously do not know how to do their job and I was so patient when I was in that office regardless of what they had going on (I came in during holiday time when they were taking group photos in the lobby). They are refusing to help with the situation or even explain how this could of happen when it is 100% the office staffs fault for not telling me before services my insurance isn't accepted. How did i pay a copay? How did I pay over $300 the day I scheduled if I couldn't apply insurance? Stay as far away as you can from this office! read more

My husband Mark was in last week for some intensive dental work. We are both thrilled with the results! The office has new innovative equipment and experience. If I could give them zero stars I would. The ONLY reason I had to change dentists is bcus my dental insurance changed. The ONLY reason why I chose Rolling is from a flyer in the mail that made them appear to be welcoming, legit & offered pymt plans....but I wish I would have done more research. 1-we (my 2 daughters & I ) were not greeted upon entering. I understand they were short staffed at the front but u acknowledge ur customers regardless. We stood there waiting like we were invisible. 2-money hungry scammers. They claim to address dental issues "proactively" before they turn into a problem...which really means they create issues to fix that really are not mandatory problems just to get revenue. I was told my teeth & gums were in great condition but in the same breath was told I needed 2 crowns. They claimed one of my daughters had 4 cavities & both daughters needed all 4 wisdom teeth removed! Seriously? I was given estimates totaling $1376 that had to be paid BEFORE services were done! (And that's not even including the wisdom teeth removal bills!) That's like going to a restaurant & having to pay for the bill before ur food is served. What if the dentist does a bad job...how can I get a refund!?! What if my insurance pays more? 3-adults (18 & above) do not get the free toothbrush, toothpaste & floss that ALL dental offices provide. After giving me an estimate of $1000+ I have paid for the free dental accessories 10x+!! They are focused more on technology (ie: TVs hanging from the ceiling) & getting money more than honesty, treating the patients fairly & providing good services. My teeth don't even feel like they have been recently cleaned! While I was at the appt, I had the gut feeling I was getting scammed so I started reading Yelp & Google reviews & there were a few people who were saying the same thing as me! I plan on getting a second opinion. Matter of fact, I plan on going back to my old dentist regardless if it's out of network. We used to go to this dentist. Prior to leaving I was told I had two cavities that would need treatment, and was handed a rather expensive estimate of the cost of treating these cavities. We moved, I switched dentists...the new dentist said there were no cavities. I went for a second opinion, another dentist could not find the cavities that Rolling Ridge Dentist said were going to cause huge problems? We are now wondering if the $1000's of work my husband had done at Rolling Ridge Dentist was really needed. Although the customer service is great... Yes, the staff is very friendly and offers a warm welcome as you enter. If you read all the reviews. It's all based on the same thing, but not actual quality of dentistry. I feel this practice lacks in the true knowledge of dentistry. I don't agree with dental assistants doing advance dental procedures that should be performed only by the dentist himself. Some of the equipment placed in my mouth were smelly and felt uncomfortable thinking they were not cleaned thoroughly! I have had to follow-up with other dentists after my procedure because of work performed was not properly done. I feel that this practice is only good for regular check-ups; nothing more above. My husband and I went here for routine exams after over 2 years of not seeing a dentist and we were both extremely impressed by the experience. I have always been pretty anxious when it comes to the dentist, but everything was incredible. the staff was very friendly and helpful including the receptionists, nurses, and doctor Thomas. They were able to take my husband and I at 7am in the morning with almost no wait time. the entire office was extremely clear, warm, and high tech with televisions in each room including one on each ceiling. when i heard that i had to have cavities filled i was nervous, but doctor Thomas and my nurse Ruby were so friendly and walked me through each step, so it made the process so much easier and I felt almost no pain. The receptionist was efficient at check out and walked me through my payment so it was easily understood and Dr. Thomas even called later to make sure my husband and I were doing well after our appointments. The worst experience today with Rolling Ridge dentistry. Was super excited about my son's 2nd check up, plus I had questions. Our first visit was in March. I was told that they were accepted by my insurance. Had a great first experience. My son got his teeth cleaned and a flouride treatment. Scheduled today's appt as his 6 month check up. About 2 weeks after my March appt, I called in to confirm if there was a bill due. I was placed on hold and told no balance as my insurance covered at 100%. Received email, text, and Voicemail to confirm todays appt. Never received a call about a balance due. Walked in today and was told at the door that i had a $200 copay/ balance. Was advised that my insurance only paid $30 of my March appt and that they wrote it off as i was a new patient. Was told that i would need to pay for the appt up front. Call my insurance provider and was told after a 1hr phone conversation that I was out of network. I took time off of work to make it to the appt on time and was basically turned away with no service. The lady tells me at the end that i was out of network and tried to get me to pay an unexpected fee. read more

All they care about is the money, the reason Im giving them 1 star is because I called before I made my appointment to ask if I was in network and they said yes, the day of my appointment before I went Someone was having a payment issue too and I asked them if I was in network cause I didnt want the same thing to happend and they said yes I was in network. Went to my appointment and everyone was nice and "caring" they told me to pay around 620 out of pocket because my insurance only covered 60% I said okay and paid. Now I'm getting a call saying a owe 530 because I am out of network. I thought this practice was going to be honest since I saw the good reviews, But they just want your money. They could have just told me they were out of network form the beginning. I went in today to see if I could get a discount since they lied to me and all they want to help me with is with a payment plan. I don't want the whole bill payed for but yes some help because they where dishonest. This Office is just plain wrong because they lied to you. I have an appointment this week but cancelled it because they told me it should be 100% waived since it is only a regular routine hygiene cleaning. Called my insurance and no it's not 100% waived. Things they should tell you but they don't. You would think they would not only care about the money but also about their patients but wrong. I feel very bad cause they were actually nice and I believed in this office the day I went for the first time and I was planning on getting more work done. $1110+ out of pocket it's insane.!! DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE! The reviews of RR Dentistry are what lead me to set aside my anxiety and enter the office, expecting exceptional care. Although the hygienists were especially kind, Dr. Thomas was not! He was short, blunt, and so much to the point that I was insulted. When I confronted him about his tone and overall "bedside" manner, he cited being understaffed and busy as rationales for his curtness. Not my problem and absolutely not an acceptable excuse. Furthermore, he hustled me out of there quickly even when the hygienist was trying to assuage my concerns. Let me warn any potential patients-- if you have fear of the dentist, be sure to schedule your appointment when he is not busy. If you want courteous service, be sure to schedule your appointment when he has enough people on staff to be kind to you. If you want to be treated like your money is worth something and you are really seeking exceptional service, be sure to schedule your appointment elsewhere. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE! read more
