My MIL ordered a couple of pizzas for us on 12/16/20. She said the person taking the order had to ask for her card three times. When we got the pizza home, we all attempted to take a slice and the toppings slid right off and we were just left holding the limp crust. It might have been funny had we all not been so hungry. Taking pizza from a four year old is not pleasant but we reassured her we would order more from blackjack pizza but that she'd have to be patient while they made it for us. My husband and I returned the pizzas and he said he was told that we should have let the pizzas cool for a while before eating them. Cool for a while?!?! Dumbest excuse for an inferiorly made pizza that I ever heard. If you go to a restaurant and order a hot meal, do you sit there letting it cool for a while before you eat it? No, you don't---You eat your meal while it's hot, otherwise you might as well just order a salad. On the plus side, they did refund the cost of the pizzas to my MIL's credit card. read more

Had this yesterday. Bbq chicken add gorgonzola and banana peppers. It was small and undercooked. It was light on bbq sauce and had white onions instead of red. For those of you who are curious if Roma is good: In my opinion their best quality is their marinara sauce. Anything it touches turns to gold. They have thick pasta noodles that are more delicious than other places And I like to order their margarita pizza because it smells and tastes so good. When you get quality it's nice to taste the simple things. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of this food because I am too excited to eat it. Going in for all you can eat pasta today. Went on a Tuesday night when they advertise all you can eat spaghetti for $4.50. NOT impressed. Gave me a plate of spaghetti that didn't have enough sauce so we asked for more. When we went to leave they had charged us an extra $1.50 for the little bowl of sauce they gave us. Waitress claimed it was considered a side order even though we explained that the plate of spaghetti did not have enough sauce but she kept arguing with me about it. Makes no sense to me. I bought 5 buckets of spaghetti and spent $214. When I got home and separated out the noodles and sauce, I noticed I got enough sauce to barely fill a regular jar of spaghetti. Called the store and told them they shorted me two meatballs and I got no sauce. On the phone they were great. No problem come in and we will take care of you. I arrive and they try to charge me another $24 for the shorted meatballs and sauce. The girl said the "kitchen" is weird about the sauce. It was two young kids with hats backwards running the show in the kitchen. The food is always great but the attitude of service is severely lacking. I would not return to this location. They gave me a couple of bread dipping sauces and I left with not near enough sauce for the 20 helpings of spaghetti I bought. I ended up calling the location on 59th and 10th and they were amazing. I bought extra sauce and bought more meatballs and sausage because of the service. I threw out the couple of dipping sauces Evans gave me out of fear of them contaminating the food after the silliest altercation for no reason. All I wanted was what I paid for. $214 of spaghetti with meat and sauce. Nothing more. read more

This is for the service. I was in last week, and I was having a bad day. Broke my mug at work, was coming down with a sore throat, etc. Well as I was getting ready to pay, I realized that my day was a bit worse than I thought, I had forgotten my wallet at work. So I offered my phone as hostage, and Kayla was understanding, and took me at my word that I'd be back after work to pay my tab, she didn't even take the phone. The service was excellent, the prices were good, the portions were large, the food was pretty bland. We tried 3 different carolis (their recipes, we didn't create our own), cheese bread, and pepperoni bread. The cheese bread had a heavy olive oil taste, and very much lacked butter and garlic. The carolis were stuffed with so much cheese it over powered any flavor from the other ingredients. The pepperoni bread was supposed to be on garlic bread, again you can't taste garlic or spices. The sauce was very thin, so when you dipped your caroli, it just wet it without giving it any more flavor that it needed. Overall, I probably won't go back if it were my choice but I'd try it again if a friend wanted to go. Everything needs more garlic and spices. So if you want great service and 'okay' food this is your place! read more

I arrived to pick up my order when I was told to do so, but still had to wait 15 minutes. Not a big deal...stuff happens. When I finally got my order home, I cut open the caroli to realize they had given me the wrong order. Frustrating...but we all mistakes. When I called, I was told that I could come pick up a new one, but when I arrived they said they had found my original order. I protested that it had now been over an hour and would like a new caroli and/or my money back, but I was told that I had to take the old one because it was "still warm". In fact, it was burnt on the bottom from resting on top of the oven for so long. In the end, I just threw it away because it was so dry and overcooked. Everyone makes mistakes. A good business admits and corrects them. A bad business pretends like they never happened. I will be spending my money elsewhere from now on, and I suggest that you do the same. read more

Was in the mood for Italian and thought we'd try Roma. I'm not sure if this would be considered "authentic" pasta and I've just had "Americanized" pasta my while life but we were not impressed by the pastas. We each had the Trio and the pasta was mush, more like the texture of overlooked homemade eggs noodles. Staff was extremely friendly and on top of it. This has a always been one of our favorite places to eat. Love the food and the waitresses there are great. We usually find it a really relaxing place to eat. The last 2 times we have been there we haven't even been able to talk to each other due to a kitchen manager, Mike, who is there and seems to be doing nothing but messing around. He is extremely loud and really ruined our meal time. I hope this is an issue that will be addressed as I would hate to have to stop eating here.
