We ordered two pizzas, garlic bread and a penne pasta from Roma to be delivered. We like the pizza there, but usually pick it up. We asked for plates napkins and utensils with our order. We also asked for both pizzas to be double cut, since it was easier for our young grandkids that way. Twenty minutes after the order had been promised, we called to ask how much longer it would be. We were told that the delivery went out 15 minutes earlier and would be there shortly. We got the pizza 10 minutes later. I have gone to the nearby Magic Grill restaurant many times over the years and I always kept telling myself I would try Roma Pizzeria one day. From the outside, the interior reminded me of some of the old pizza places from my childhood in Brooklyn. I am a sucker for this type of decor so I headed in. When you enter the pizzas are behind glass cases for you to see on the counter and the main work area is behind the counter (with some a bit out of sight). Along the edges of the restaurant are the booths that made me a bit nostalgic. Down a hall towards the back is the rest room. Overall the set up was clean and organized. I wound up having a Philly Cheese Steak slice and it was good. The crust was thin, a bit chewy but the crust edge was crisp. I suspect this crust is best fresh out of the oven and not reheated (but that's sort of a general rule isn't it?). The flavors on the slice were good and it had a very satisfying balance of sweetness from the tomatoes and savory from the beef and cheese. Roma was a good experience. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but it will do in a pinch. read more

So disappointed! We stopped ordering from Roma a while back but, figured we would give it another try. Ordering the pizza was next to impossible. The man had to put another person on the phone who Did not understand the order either. I asked for extra sauce which they did not put on. I asked for sliced tomato all over the pizza of which they had VERY THICK slices on some of the pizza. The pizza was undercooked and the tomatoes were raw. I would have called them however, I doubt they would have possibly understood that there was a problem if that's what came out of their oven . How could they have not noticed? I've been a regular customer of Roma's for years. My two favorite things I repeatedly order are Grandma Pie , the most delicious I've ever had, and eggplant parmesan sandwiches. Also, very good is chicken parmesan sandwich. I have also enjoyed their regular pizza pie (mushrooms) but prefer the tomato, olive oil and fresh herbs spices on the Grandma pie. I'm very sad to write this review as I used to Love Roma. The customer service has gone down the drain. Placed my order and gave my CC info over the phone to the girl. Was told to hold the line as she has difficulty using the machine, told my card was declined. I said I had money in my account to hold the order and I'd check my account to see what's going on. I check and I was charged for the food ALONG with a $2 mystery charge. I call back and explain I was already charged and I'm told by a worker that he'll send the food but he didn't get paid for it. That's what got me really upset ... I'm a loyal customer for over 4 years. I said I have the info from my bank account right here and I'll show him if he'd like me too. He keeps saying I didn't pay them and he's had this issue with me before - total lie as I've never had this problem with them IN MY LIFE. He keeps saying he didn't get paid and he'll talk to his boss. It's now been 2 hours... called back got hung up on then the owner tells me again that he'll send the food but he didn't get paid. You never argue with a customer. He literally started laughing when I told him how I could show him my bank statement. I've never been so upset at a restaurant before. Roma- you lost a good and loyal customer tonight. How dare I be told I'm lying about paying because you have issues with a CC machine. Never ordering from them again. We had been ordering from them for YEARS. Last Friday I placed an order to pick up 3 pies and a meatball parm at 6:30. At 7:10, as I walked in, they gave their ONLY prepared Grandma Pizza order to someone else. I paid for everything because they said it would be ready in 20 minutes and they would deliver it. Walked out with 2 pies and parm. Grandma pizza was not delivered until 8:34pm and it was cold. The guy behind the counter admitted it was his fault since he took my phone order, but all they did was apologize - no offer for discount, free order, nothing other than sorry. Haven't tried whole menu but I like the pizza. The thin slices on things like peppers and onions is what separate them from the normal thick chunky ones others use. DO NOT GET THE CHICKEN WINGS, Picked the wings up fresh from ordering also tried them delivered. My husband and I had only ordered from here one time. We were not very happy with this place. We ordered on a Wednesday night thinking it shouldn't be busy compared to a Fri-Sat night, and it took almost two hours for the delivery driver to arrive.
