We are VERY HAPPY with the exterior paint work that Hector and his team performed on our house! We wanted to restore all of the original exterior colors from the builder. Hector provided a fair estimate which included painting of the original exterior colors plus our rain gutters and chimney top. Hector is a super nice guy and it is easy to see that he truly takes his job seriously and all his projects are a work of art to him. His crew was also very nice, but only one out of the three spoke English well enough to communicate with, but the head guy did his very best to make sure we were happy. My husband and I bought a house that had been a rental for the past 8 years. A disaster it was, and Hector and his crew really helped us bring it closer to our standard of living. Everything needed to be painted, from the ceiling to the baseboards to the closets. And, we only had to spend one night in a hotel due to fumes. The lines used between colors are super straight, they used as many coats as needed to makes sure the wall(s) were the right color, they removed every light switch, door knob, and light fixture so they could paint right up to the edges, and everything was covered nicely to make sure paint didn't get on anything. They also tightened our banister spindles, changed out the ugly painted closet rods with the natural rods we bought from Home Depot, and they replaced a bedroom door that had a hole punched in it and poorly patched up. Awesome. The few complaint we have is the guys unscrewed the light fixtures in the bathrooms and left them hanging by the live wires. The fixtures also scratched the top of our mirrors. As well, we asked him to caulk around all the medicine cabinets we installed before painting, but we don't think it was done. Also, the caulking at the top of the master shower isn't as smooth as we think it should be. All in all we definitely recommend Roman painting and hope his crew are a little more careful with the light fixtures. read more

Hector and his team were wonderful not only because they were priced well, but because they were professional and accommodating to our schedule. This is my second Roma Pro review as they also painted our interior. Once again 5 stars is earned. We had some dry wall and a doorframe that needed replacing. We had our house painted by Roman Pro Painting. The crew was always on time and were professional. Overall they did a good job with the house. They replace the siding on the front of the house as well as the fascia. All of that work was good. The pricing was more on the higher end in comparison with other bids but it's a family own business and they always do better work than chains. We were not so pleased with the way the front porch came out and Hector took time off his busy schedule to repaint the front porch. Hector called back and explained that he is a one man show man for his business. He said he was super busy and he would give the front porch a second coat. I am glad that he does back up his work 100%. He showed up with absolutely no attitude and gladly did the work. For that reason I updated my review to 5 stars. Roman Pro Painting did an outstanding job of painting our home at the end of August, 2014. Hector and his crew were clean, professional, helpful and top notch. I'd have no hesitation in recommending his company to my neighbors or friends. He advised us to visit the Dunn Edwards consultant who gave us several samples and a brochure on Mediterranean colors. We live in a development where most of the homes are similar in color (shades of tan and light or off white). We wanted something a bit more daring and experimented a bit. In the end, we decided on a gold/tan combination and are very happy with the result. He power washed our home on a Friday and then did the prep work (filling in stucco cracks, scraping off loose stucco etc) the following Monday. After that, the crew of four to five worked efficiently and well to finish the home and our outdoor island in five days. They also painted our garage doors which had faded badly in the sun. We had a party at our place about a week later and had so many compliments on our home. We couldn't have been happier about the result. I have no hesitation in recommending Hector and his crew. OMG... They did our exterior house painting and I had best experience ever!!! If you need painter, this is the company!!!!! Best Price and best quality work. Hector was very skilled man and he was so nice enough to point out the problems that we had and fixed them all instead of just paint them over. ( we will never know until face the big problems later) And they did amazing stucco job! They had to remove old shutters and had to match existing stucco and turned out to be the perfect match!!!! I hired Roman Pro for interior & exterior house painting, and since they also have a general contracting license, for other work including closet remodeling and replacing a patio cover. Hector's brothers Victor & Sergio and sometimes their dad did all the work. They really take pride in their work. They are all extremely polite, respectful of my home - inside and out, detailed in their work, punctual and patient in answering my questions and when I changed my mind. I felt comfortable having them in my home for the interior work. I appreciated them letting me know their progress and what to expect next. Hector was always available to answer questions. They worked with my schedule and got everything done when they said they would. I hired them after hearing a great recommendation from my neighbor when her house was painted. I could just tell as I saw them painting her house that they were detailed and careful - even the drop cloths were laid down with no wrinkles! They always cleaned up and set things aside at the end of the day and always removed trash. Hector spent time with me in helping decide on paint colors - it was nice to be able to consult with someone who knows how it all looks together once it's on a large surface. Needless to say, my house looks great and I've gotten a lot of compliments from neighbors about it. They took lots of time prepping the exterior with powerwashing and repairing holes or cracks in stucco and woodwork. They were careful in masking and there is no overspray on concrete or grass. If I could give 6 stars, I would. If you're looking for a cheap and quick slap of paint on your walls, these aren't your guys. Hector Roman and his brothers at Roman Pro Painting are true professionals who take pride in their work and care about the quality of the job they are delivering. They did a PHENOMENAL job. For our brand new construction in Irvine, we spoke to 4 different painters and the quotes ranged quite a bit. We wanted to get the interior of the house + baseboards painted and also wanted additional crown moulding installed in our bedrooms. Hector came by the house and thoughtfully estimated how much paint we would need and also thoroughly explained the detailed process they go through of how to properly install crown moulding. The cheap way is to pre-paint them and them install them, but the drawback with that, is that you never get a truly smooth surface because the areas where the nails were hammered in will show through, even after you paint over it. Instead, the Roman brothers install the crowns first, then they caulk, sand, smooth, and apply primer over every nail hole, then spray the crowns twice. The result = UTTERLY FLAWLESS crown moulding. It takes time to do it right, but the quality is undeniable and far superior to the crown mouldings our builder put in for the rest of the house. These guys were meticulous with the crown mouldings and equally detailed in the paint job of the interior of our 4 bedroom house. Trust me when I say that both my wife and I are extremely anal and picky about quality work and we tried REEEEALLLY hard to find mistakes. The lines along the tops of the wall were PERFECT. Sergio Roman did the detail work by hand and with the skill of an artist. Victor Roman treated our house like it was his own. He inspected every inch for touch ups and covered every corner of our newly-installed wood floors and carpets. Roman Pro won't be the cheapest quote you get, but I assure you that if you want the highest quality results, these guys are worth every penny. We are beyond thrilled with their work. read more

Hector and his crew painted the exterior of our home last week and we are very pleased with the results! During my search to find a painter, it was very important to me to hire someone that is licensed, bonded, and insured. I appreciated Hector for being open with me; taking the time to explain the painting process and different products to me during our initial meeting. I checked with his references, everyone had glowing reviews of his work. I made a few trips to Dunn Edwards and talked to the managers there to understand the painting process and their products. Everything Hector told me was consistent with the Dunn Edwards managers' recommendations. Hector and his brothers showed up everyday and were detailed in their work. They are nice guys and always made time to answer my questions (I had a lot of questions). One thing that struck me was, while they could have easily used the paint that was used for the stucco to paint a 3x3 utility door on the side of the house, Hector made a point to buy a specific paint for the utility door because "it was the right thing to do". I am amazed by the before and after pictures of the house, it's like we have a new house now. A number of our neighbors have commented on how nice the house looks. WOW, these guys are fantastic! If you are in need of any paint work on your house, I would note hesitate for a second to call Hector Roman at Roman Pro Painting. The quality of their work is some of the best I have seen, their prices are very reasonable, and most importantly they are honest guys that take pride in what they do. The girlfriend and I bought a home in the historic district of Anaheim, and wanted to do a revamp of the boring brown interior to make it look clean, fresh, and modern. After looking at numerous reviews on both Yelp and Angie's List, I decided to give Roman Pro a call, and couldn't be happier. I called Roman Pro on a Wednesday, and Hector answered. He was extremely polite, and offered to stop by the home the same evening after hearing how we wanted to get everything painted asap prior to fully moving in the following week. I work late, and he stopped by at 8PM to accommodate my schedule. He was on-time, put on shoe covers to keep the house clean, and gave me great insight into what we should do, and what to expect. I had a formal estimate shortly after. I spoke with a few other painters, but none of them had the same level of professionalism and flexibility. They were late to view the house, flaky over the phone, and wanted either more or the same amount of $$$. Better to go with someone who is honest and customer oriented. We schedule Hector's team for Saturday and Sunday, provided the paint since we had specific colors in mind, and the rest was easy. Hector's brothers, Victor and Sergio came both days, and I was very, very surprised and impressed by how they work. They kept the entire house clean (cleaner than when they arrived actually), did an amazing job with the painting, and were just generally good guys. We had a few pieces of furniture delivered while they were there, and they planned ahead to work around the drops. I stuck around for a bit when possible just to talk a bit with them. I like to work on my own house when possible, and actually painted a couple of bedrooms before calling Roman Pro, but after seeing how these guys work, I will just call them from now on. It's always a bit nerve racking trying to find great craftsmen these days, and we were lucky to find these guys. If you call, you will not be disappointed. The other reviews are all spot-on.
