Let me start with I was NOT going to make this review even with all the annoyance this company caused. But Anwar asked for this review. I hired this company for a countertop installation and paid a deposit with the understanding that the job would be completed within 3 days. Instead, it took over 40 days for them to come but that is not why I am making this review. The facts: They rescheduled my installation three different times, often without notice. Communication was extremely poor. Calls and messages would go unanswered for long periods, and when I did get a response, it felt like Armor had no record of my project and needed constant reminders. The first excuse I was given was that the granite I selected had cracked and was the last slab available. I had to go back in and choose another fine but that also took days just to coordinate. I asked if they could reorder my original choice, and I was told it would take about two weeks. I was satisfied but continued waiting with no updates, I went back myself, only to be told it was somehow back in stock like it had never been unavailable. We scheduled another installation date. No one showed up, and no one contacted me. I had even scheduled a plumber around their timeline, which caused additional inconvenience and expense. In which he says "not my fault you hired" no , it's not. But when you run projects you stick to a schedule. I should NOT have to remind someone how to stick to a schedule. I've always asked for estimated timelines so that ppl do not feel rushed/ timed. But Again, I had to be the one to reach out and get a confirmation if they were even coming or not. 2 weeks went by with no communication. At one point, I contacted an attorney because I genuinely thought they were not going to complete the job. I even went up to their shop multiple times, only to find no one available. Eventually, I ran into a family member who got me back in touch with them. After yet another reschedule (which they later denied ever confirming), they finally showed up but only after I called multiple times the day of. The installation was rushed, and the countertop was chipped. At that point, I was exhausted and just wanted it to be done, but it didn't end there. I sent them photos of the damage, and they agreed to come fix it; then never showed up and stopped responding altogether. Because of this experience, I was without a usable kitchen for over 40 days, had to eat out constantly, spent unnecessary money, and dealt with ongoing stress chasing down a company that already had my deposit. This was one of the most frustrating service experiences I've ever had. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

We are still waiting for restitution to be paid. It was ordered by Livingston parish courts and he took the warrant for his arrest instead of paying it. He stole money for cabinets and work he didn't do at all on top of work he did that was just shameful. Still no top cabinets. He prefer to go to jail doing construction without a license. Be very mindful before using this company. read more

These people take your money, try to push a different material on you and when they do install granite that is not the one I picked out they damage your new sink stove and cabinets and do a shoddy job on install. They kept one piece of counter top and told me if I wanted it I would have to pay more. Do not do business with this company. read more

Worst countertop installation experience ever. Damages property, cuts inside and blows dust cloud everywhere, terrible seams, doesn't level or shim, seams separating and not level within 2 weeks, takes several visits to get it 75% right but still wrong, measurements are off all over. Held up next clients job til I paid in full. Very exhausting process, tried to work it out with him but he just wants his money and is very mean. This job is paid in full but this is how it looks so now I have to pay someone else to fix his work. His installers have zero experience so he yells at them too. He doesn't take responsibility for his poor communication, his mistakes on cuts or seams, he has a bad temper and threatens a lot. Lesson learned. Beware. read more

On a scale of 1 to 5 he is a -2. Took them almost 6 weeks to install after I paid them 60%. Came after 9 p.m. at night and caused damage to my home, especially my brand new cabinets that had to have new slides installed because of over an inch thick granite dust. We experienced respiratory issues because of inhaling the dust but had to continue vacuuming and cleaning to meet restore La deadlines. Another nightmare with a contractor. These people care nothing about flood victims or what they do to your home or infants living in the home. He really should lose his license. read more

BEWARE !!!! don't make the same mistake I did. I recently decided to use these guys to install granite in my kitchen after sending them three detailed layout pictures of my kitchen as they requested they gave me a price to do the kitchen then they showed up with one piece of granite that was cut wrong not allowing my cabinets to open much less, not all of the granite was brought to my home and then got aggravated after me explaining to them that there was issues and the rest of the Granite was not here then the owner ROMAN begins to get hostile and the owner decides to MF me from A-to-Z cursing me out and hanging up the phone ON ME ! I asked many times just to give me my money back and they declined to give me my money back then promised to come complete the job which I have text messages and documentation stating that coming to finish the job and then said no they're not coming to finish it that I need to pay more money Like I said, don't get yourself in the same situation I did. The owner is very unprofessional and flies off the handle. He will not give you your money back. I am calling the Better Business Bureau and will dispute the money they rip me off read more

Don't know where to begin. We hired Roman stones thinking he was licensed and an honest business. Come to find out after he stole my money and left me with an incomplete kitchen, he is not even a license contractor in Louisiana. We had to report them to the attorney general and the local police for fraud. They were great in their response, and I am greatly appreciative for their help with this issue. It's a shame it even had to come to this, but we hired them in July and was told it would only take 2 to 3 weeks. It is now November, with nothing completed. They order the wrong cabinets after the owner son came out and did the measurements before we even signed the contract and trying to blame us for his people mistakes. Now they have taking almost all the money and refusing to deliver and install the proper cabinets. They sent out one of their workers to install that wasn't even qualified to install cabinets. He stated this was only his second time installing cabinets. When the owner came out after we complained he damaged my sink and messed up the bottom cabinets even more. I am currently seeking legal action, so I can't say much, but please don't use this company. They lie, steal, and don't complete anything with my granite being messed up at that. The granite has 2 different color caulks, and seams are terrible. Please see the pictures. read more

Worst experience with a business I have ever had. We ordered and paid for a high-end quartz slab and for Roman stone to fabricate it and install it in our new kitchen. When they delivered the stone it was not the brand we ordered. Similar in color but we later found out that it cost 50% less b/c it is a lower quality stone. The stone was also cut wrong so when they tried to install it they damage my new cabinets, walls, and sink. The stone is not sitting in my driveway b/c it would not be installed correctly. I tried to offer Roman Stone one more shot to make the job right by ordering the originally stone we purchased and ship it to a quality fabricator to have them cut it to the right speck. I was cursed at, yelled at, and ask to leave his store. When calling I was hung up on and again yelled at by Mr. Ayman who is the owner of Roman Stone. read more

I am not a former employee. Not hardly. And if I could give this kitchen remodel quality a negative 10, I would most certainly do it. The quartz does not fit and has ridiculous seams that can be seen from a great distance. I have added a slew of photos to show the multitude of messed-up spots in my kitchen quartz and backsplash. The difference in the two is that the backsplash guys have returned to attempt to make things right...Ayman Zaben has not. Nor has he paid the additional $500 that he charged me to his crew. Unbelievably poor quality, unbelievably slow, unbelievably unprofessional, and didn't even pay his own crew after hiking up his final price! Oh, and he included the wet bar in the written estimate but failed to include it in his final work. Do NOT hire Ayman Zaben for your stone work. You will undoubtedly regret the decision. read more

I am not a disgruntled employee - I am just a Baton Rouge homeowner who wanted new countertops. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. They installed the wrong quartz in my house, never delivered or installed final pieces, were extremely untimely (said they would be done by 12/18/18 and it is now 01/22/19), and they refuse to fix any issues. Full Story: On 11/23/2018, I wrote a deposit check and signed a contract with Roman Stone. The check was cashed later that day. The contract stated they would demolish current countertops and install Calcutta Lucia quartz in my kitchen, guest bathroom, and master bathroom. The contract also included 4 bathroom sinks and 1 kitchen sink. While signing the contract it was agreed that all work would be completed by 12/18/2018. They were nearly impossible to get in touch with from 11/23/2018 to 12/26/2018. They finally started installing the countertops on 12/26. It is now 01/22/2019 and they have not finished the installation or delivered the final piece for my kitchen. I paid out the rest of the contract before they delivered the final piece of quartz. They took the money and ran. The quartz installed in our kitchen and master bathroom is not the quartz that we agreed to in the contract. I was willing to overlook this issue as they had already installed most of the quartz. But they installed a different quartz in the guest bathroom so it does not match the other two rooms. Instead of asking them to re-do the entire kitchen and master bath I just asked them to replace the guest bathroom with the same quartz that is in the master bath/kitchen. They refuse to address this issue or even respond to us. It has been 2 months since I signed a contract and my countertops are still not complete. On top of all of this the stone in the kitchen is chipped and the sinks in the bathroom are crooked. They also left large gaps between the countertops and the back-splash. Update (6/3/2019): After 7 months of arguing with this company, I finally got the last piece of quartz for my kitchen. I was never able to get the quartz in the bathroom replaced. It is still a different type of quartz from the rest of the countertops in the house. I was just repeatedly told that "it looked good" and basically that I was wrong by the owner of company. The company continuously messaged me telling me that he wouldn't fix the bathroom countertop until I took all the bad reviews down. I took the reviews down (except for the complaint that I filed with BBB) but they would still not fix my bathroom countertop. Overall, I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

Where to even begin, this is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE THEM! We were consistently lied too about the status of our stone and installation. We were told the stone place forgot to order our stone the day of install and ordered the sink, but turns out, Roman's never ordered our original stone to begin with NOR the sink we picked out and lied and blamed it on someone else. We ended up having to settle with a stone because they couldn't get the original stone we fell in love with because they forgot to order it. We gave them one more chance, and day of install they show up 2 hours late after previously arriving with the WRONG sink we had ordered cut out into the slab. They install it into our kitchen and the quality of work was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! A 5th grader could have done better than what they did. After firing, we are being informed we paid for the material and no services and they WILL NOT refund the deposit for the material that they forgot or ordered wrong. I would never recommend Roman Stones, LLC of Baton Rouge, LA to do any installation of granite countertops. Roman Stones does not provide quality work. The measurements are inconsistent and smaller than agreed in contract. Roman Stones worker and owner showed up late, left early, and did not even finish the job as per the contract. There have horrible customer service. They do not return phone calls or try to make the customer satisfied. A job that was supposed to be completed in 2 days has taken over 2 months and Roman Stones still hasn't fulfilled the contract and installed all my backsplashes. Check out BBB reviews and you will look for a different company to work with. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. read more

Terrible communication - as of today, we have been given two installation appointments. On the first one, no one showed up or called to let us know anything. When I called, the person that I spoke to on the phone told me that he got me confused with a different customer that was actually being installed on the date. He told me that they would DEFINITELY be at my house today. Well...about 30 minutes after the time that was promised, an administrative assistant from the company called and told me that "they told me to call you and let you know the truck is being repaired". She had no idea of whether they would be late or if this meant we would be rescheduled yet again. So far, I have been given three excuses for delays - the company got "confused", my granite was dropped at the shop and cracked so they had to buy another slab, and now "the truck is being repaired." Two of these excuses came only after we called the company, and the other came after the promised start time of an appointment. When the company came and measured, I was told that installation would begin in 7-10 days. It has been over 3 weeks now. I certainly hope that their work is better than their communication - if not, I'll probably end up in court with them. If their work is good, I will either submit another review or revise this review. If I'm as unhappy with the quality of their work as I have been with their awful communication, the reader is urged to beware of this contractor. read more
