My name is Shay and I'm one for writing a review on amazing service. November 2nd I hosted a 50th Naughty Girls Night in The City Birthday Party. So you can understand the dynamics of the group the ages were from 40 -70yrs of age Lol!! Now the first initial thoughts were these season vets are going to be limited to these pole routines but that's a false claim. Once I put out the invite per the Birthday Girl the responses came rolling in like a Black Friday sale Lol!! In route to beginning the night we stopped to have a light dinner first downtown Los Angeles to include drinks constantly flowing since the ride began 3hrs prior. Once at the R&D location we came in contact with the host Coco & let me state for the record ( her energy was ) from the entering of the Carson location. The party crew was hyped & ready for it all. Once after the introduction was finished we moved onto some games & let's just say that was a hell of a ice breaker Lol!! Especially, for some of the shy ladies in the group. Talk about you sex names Lol!! I personally had no clue the ladies had so many alter egos LMAO! As we moved into the night we was greeted by Deja "Asia" who was this 5'6 brown complexion young sexy instructor (she was really 6'2 in them stilettos ) a stallion she is, toned to a perfect creation. She brought the heat with a routine she taught us. The energy in that place is off the charts. This was my 2nd rodeo with the company and both times was beyond my expectations. Every group that I've taken to Romance and Dance have stated they need one in their community. I must say driving from Lancaster was definitely worth the 2.5hr ride for some fun. I wish we had one in our area because I would bet my house that it would strive. First time pole dancing here. I thought pole dancing was easy, they make it super easy watching those pole dancing videos but heck no. It IS definitely a work out. A fun work out. My bff invited me to pole dance with him, i was shy and afraid but all of them - from the staff, teacher, to the students were very much supportive. They will help you in doing the moves. The good thing about it was it is so much fun that an hour had passed and I didn't even notice. We ended up doing a two hour class - well for me, i did a two hour class as i arrived late, my friend did a three class. This is such a fun cardio exercise I highly recommend it to everyone. read more

I really love this place and all the instructors are very nice! I first discovered this place through a Groupon deal many moons ago and have taken lessons from the lovely instructors here over the course of a few years and always had a great experience. Most of the time I do classes with Anesia and she really is one of the sweetest and warmest human beings! She always makes me feel confident and encouraging even when I'm having a hard time with some of the moves. She's also very patient and will demonstrate the moves over and over and over again even when she's tired. She watches you when you practice and then point out ways to make it easier to master the moves. The prices are very competitive here, and there are so many poles in the studio that you never have to fight with another girl to share a pole. The area might be slightly sketchy at night, so do make sure you walk out with someone else and lock your car when you get in. I would definitely recommend this studio! read more

From the moment that I first walked into Romance and Dance, I felt so welcomed! They immediately treated me as if we have been long time friends. That's the kind of chemistry the ladies/staff/teachers of Romance and Dance have at this pole studio. I bought a Living Social deal for this pole studio without realizing that the voucher is only good for beginner classes. Crap! :/ Whatever...! The voucher needed to be used so I signed up for the beginner class expecting to learn the basic fireman spin. To my surprise, I was the only student who had signed up for Darcey's beginner class that first day so she basically assessed my skill level and I got a private lesson. SCORE! Darcey kicked my butt with so much muscle conditioning on my arms, abs, legs, etc. and it ROCKED! I don't know how I had the energy to do the climbing and inverting on the pole after conditioning but she had me doing them. I was stoked that Darcey would be my instructor again. For my second class, I wasn't as lucky getting a private lesson but it was cool that we had a fun group of students. Since we were all different skill levels, Darcey would modify and challenge students who were more advanced. While the beginners practiced their fireman spin, the intermediates practiced a fireman up where you spin and climb the pole. That eventually turned into a climb and invert. Yesterday I had my last class in the Living Social series and Britney was my instructor. OMG, her warmup and conditioning regimen is kickass also! What I loved most about Britney's class was that she focused more on teaching you dance moves and transitions so you can move between tricks and spins in one fluid routine. This is good for people like me who blank out whenever I'm forced to freestyle. Britney really knows how to make you feel confident in your dancing. I was so impressed by this studio that I recommended this place to another friend. Gema C. and I bought the Yelp Deals voucher for Romance and Dance and I'm excited to come back and take more classes! Not only for the instruction, but also (just to re-emphasize) for the genuine friendliness, sweetness and awesomeness of the staff here! Kinda wish that I still lived in the south bay. I was given a Groupon package for pole dancing lessons for my birthday. My friend told me I needed to find my inner vixen (because dating after 40 is a sick joke.) I went to my first class and I loved it! Dee was the instructor and her energy was all I needed to believe in myself. I knew I needed more help then the average person so I have been seeing Dee for private lessons. It's only been a month, but I walked out of my private lesson this morning with some swagger! Romance and Dance is fun, but it is also a real workout. I have so much appreciation for dancers. You will leave sore and with some bruises, but my confidence is building and I look forward to each class. What I like the most is that these classes are filled with individuals of all ages and sizes. Some are obviously gifted, but there are others like me who are grateful for being included, lol. Whatever reservations you think you may have about learning how to pole dance. Forget about it, this was an amazing experience. I was extremely iffy about it from the beginning, but the moment we started the class that all vanished. This class was awesome from start to finish. They not only accommodated to our group they were friendly and informative. Our instructor, Ceeyonce was theeee best she made us feel comfortable and we had tons of fun. Celebrated my close friend KoKo birthday party tonight here at Romance and Dance in Carson and had an AWESOME time and experience. I admit, I never thought I would be pole dancing anywhere LOL, however, I had to go support my friend. What I didn't know was how much fun and excitement I would have. This Dance studio is so GREAT!!! The staff (Phee & KoKo) was just so AMAZING, and the dance instructor "Phee" OMG....I don't know where to start!! "Phee" is a VERY experienced dancer and for someone like myself who never even thought about pole dancing ever in life LOL, she just made learning so EASY. I was just so surprised on how much fun we all had. I would recommend this dance studio to anyone. Just go experience it for yourself. Unfortunately I couldn't continue pole dancing for medical reasons but in the short time I did attend there I LOVED it!!! I've done all kinds of exercising from Step, Aerobics, Spin, Zumba, Striptease class, Bellydancing and I must say Pole Dancing was the Most Strenuous and the MOST FUN as well! It tightens up your legs, ass and strenghtens your upper body and core (most classes don't do all of these and women lack upper body and core strength naturally). All the instructors give you one on one instruction as needed and are more than patient. No matter how big or small you are they are there to help and encourage you to bring out that Sexiness that Every Goddess has !!! I HIGHLY recommend Romance & Dance!!!
