If you enjoy life entertainment & show, then this is the place to be! $50 p/p for an entertainment (Russian, Armenian, English songs) was absolutely worth it. The show was interesting and entertaining as well! Our server Gayane was very attentive and friendly, always checking on us, and maintaining a clean table. If you are party of 6 and/or more, they offer a set menu with a different price range ($135, $175, $250 p/p). Since we were only party of 2 we had to order from a menu. Cheese platter, salmon carpaccio, vinaigrette salad, wague beef, & bronzino. A manager or the owner came to our table with a plate of lamb chops, as a token of appreciation, that was very sweet-thank you! Everything was delicious, however, if you really hungry the portions are small, it won't satisfy you. We had a big lunch earlier, so we felt great with it. Another great touch was, they have a photographer that goes around the whole evening, and takes pictures of the guests. Within few minutes you get an offer of purchasing your pic in a nice frame for $20 (a fare price in my opinion). Even though we didn't need all 3 pics of us, we still purchased them all in support of the photographer's business. In all, yes it's pricey, and adds up quickly, but absolutely worth it! We will be back. I highly recommend this restaurant for a birthday celebration, or even if you just want a special evening with your significant one.

Dinner and a show! We went to Romanov for a birthday party on a Saturday night. Riding the elevator with another couple, we were asked if we'd been here before, probably because we were not Russian. They said we would be in for a treat. Boy were they right! It is an ornate lounge with chandeliers, live performers, and a dance floor. Apparently, we were told, a very popular place for any celebration by the older Russian generation. It is truly a unique experience, especially for an introvert who loves to stay home. The place was packed with mostly large groups that were ready for a fun night out. The first course/appetizer spread is extensive. Mostly cold dishes from carpaccio and roe to avocado salad and cheese. This is accompanied by soda and vodka. After about an hour, the place gets loud and lively with a mix of traditional Russian songs and classic American. People flock to the dance floor where the lights change color. It felt like a wedding or bar mitzvah reception. Honestly, was so fun to watch the dancing but way too loud to chat with anyone. When everyone needed a break, the second course came out which was home style potatoes and an assortment of grilled meats. These were delicious and more to my taste. Unfortunately, we had to leave around 1015p, but it felt like the majority of the crowd was prepared to stay much longer. Parking is valet but we found a nearby structure at the Bank of America building.

My sister had her company Christmas party here. It was definitely an experience that I have never had before. It really reminded me of a mini Vegas experience. It was super fun. Lots of dancing lots of sequences lots of glam. We had a good time we went out on the dance floor. The show was actually really amazing. It was a Vegas type Cirque du Soleil show, and I was really impressed with the show, and there was live music the whole entire time. It was probably one of the most fun work Christmas parties I've ever been to.

We did a complete buy out of Romanov for a client's yearly Valentine's event. We worked with Harry and Andre who really worked with us and all our needs. The food was absolutely amazing with soooo much of it and such variety and the service for our guests was perfect . It was we really first class service. Everyone really enjoyed the live performance of the renders and aerialists. I highly recommend booking a night out either on Friday or Saturday wirh friends! Great place. Thank you so much for everything!

It's become so much more than just one of our favorite bars and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The biggest reason, though, is the people. Hospitality is something that's hard to fake, and the team here does it effortlessly. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted like an old friend. Over the years, the staff has created an environment that feels welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely personal, and that's something that's become increasingly rare. Matt, Sabrina, and the entire team are all such gems. Scott also deserves special recognition. He's a huge part of what makes The Rendition Room such a special place. Whether he's introducing a new cocktail, sharing the story behind a spirit, or simply taking the time to check in, his passion and care for every guest shine through. It's people like Scott who transform a great bar into a place you truly feel connected to. On our most recent visit, we tried the new Decade & Debauchery cocktail, celebrating The Rendition Room's 10 year anniversary, and it's phenomenal. Balanced, and beautifully executed. In a city full of great bars, they have managed to create something much harder to find, a sense of community. After all these years, it still feels just as special as the first time we walked in.

This was my first experience with Vitello's Restaurant and their Velvet Martini Lounge. On Saturday…read morenight, a group of 7 of us took our friend here for her birthday, and booked our table in the Velvet Martini Lounge because she wanted to listen to the jazz. Mary was our server, and it started out promising, she greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. It went downhill from there. By the end of the night, the person refilling our water was the best service we got all night, because he came around regularly to check and refill our glasses. It seemed like because there were 7 of us, so she got an automatic 20% gratuity, she didn't think she had to work for her tips, but the service was appalling. Honestly, the room was only half full, so it wasn't even that busy. Service: We had a friend show up late, and it took a long time to get someone's attention to bring a wine and water glass for her. I kept trying to waive someone down, or hoped that Mary would come check in, but no such luck. When the food arrived, they just dropped off the food and left, they didn't ask if I or anyone at the table wanted pepper or parmesan for our dishes, or needed anything else. My friend sitting across from me finally got someone's attention that was walking by to bring some pepper, and after doing her plate, he didn't ask if anyone else at the table wanted any. So I stopped him from leaving and asked the table if anyone else wanted pepper or parm. Myself and another friend wanted parm, but we were half way through our meals before it came. We were at the end of the meal before Mary even came back to check back on us. We ordered another bottle of wine because all of our glasses were empty. Mary just brought it to the table, opened it and then walked off without refilling any of the empty glasses. For dessert, we ordered one dessert to share, but everyone decided we would do after dinner martinis. Mary took the order for 5 people at the table and left without taking my order or my friend's order for our martinis, so we end up having to wait until she came back with the other 5 martinis to order ours. Food: It was bland, underwhelming and overpriced. I ordered the chicken piccata. The capers were the only thing that gave it flavor, its a dish that I didn't think you could make tasteless. The noodles did not taste fresh, almost rubbery. There are so many Italian places around Los Angeles that are the same price or cheaper that have higher quality and better tasting food. I ordered a chocolate martini, and the alcohol wasn't too overpowering, and it tasted just like drinking a dessert. We ordered two bottles of the Montepulciano that they had on their wine list, it was just okay, so if you are a wine person, then I recommend bringing your own bottle and just pay the corkage fee. Bill: They don't hand you the bill, which is a surprise for such a big group. They didn't give us the printed bill until we asked for it after paying. So when I checked it over, I was surprised that on top of the 20% automatic gratuity, there was also a 3.5% kitchen appreciation fee. Which I was told by the hostess as we were leaving you can ask to have removed before paying your bill. Doesn't seem like there is any transparency for that fee. It definitely felt painful to pay 23.5% in tips/fees for such appallingly bad service. Jazz: Saving grace for this place, that's the one star. Saturday night they had just a singer and a piano player. The singer's voice was beautiful and she took requests, so we requested La Vie en Rose before we left. She sang it in English vs. French, but she sang it beautifully. Vitello's has a great history, so if you are going to come here, then come here for the drinks and the jazz.

Although it didn't really necessarily show up as "the best food in LA area" but all the reviews were so good so I became curious to try. Mainly the reviews also raved about the vibes, services, and live music. Well, they were not wrong! It was fairly easy to make a reservation through Opentable, and I made a reservation for two people for my birthday dinner on Sunday night. I put on the notes that it's my bday so it'll be nice to get a nice table near the stage. I didn't have a high expectation, cos I'd never been to the place and I didn't make a call or anything. But wow, they definitely gave us a great table at the very front! As many reviewers had mentioned, the acoustic of the restaurant is really great. You can barely hear other people's conversations. There's a live jazz band playing, so you can really enjoy that. Although it made it slightly hard to hear what other nearby people say to you either, haha. Our server Dawson was a really great one! Very nice, very informative and just has a great vibe that made you feel comfortable to converse with him. We also asked if he could take a picture of us and he went above and beyond with taking our pictures haha. He took the table lamp as our additional "lighting". Such a great service! Dawson also made a few suggestions on food. We ordered the milk bun (so great!), the tiger prawns tostada (omg, my favorite of the night!), braised lamb pasta, pork belly risotto, and roasted broccolini. Everything was really good and really filled us up! We also got the "smokin old fashioned" and "Wake up and repeat" cocktails. It was plenty of food for us so we asked for a check. Dawson asked if we wanted a dessert but we were already full. He asked if it's ok to give us a lil treat for my bday. It was a really nice dessert :). Oh I forgot to mention that they also put a small bday card on the table for me. The prices of food and drinks are on the higher sides, but I feel like it's worth it due to the live music and the vibe. It easily covers the entertainment part. We definitely will go back and recommend this place for anyone who's looking into a nice date night or to celebrate something special. I was informed that Friday has more of a "party vibe" here, although it's still a jazz performance. Sunday feels more laid back :) Overall I'm really pleased by this place. I used to think that I don't care that much about excellent service as long as the food is great, but I was wrong. The excellent hospitality just made the night even better than expected. Thank you for making my bday dinner memorable.

Definitely swanky but down to earth vibes. I got the rasberry beret cocktail and it was different but fabulous. Not sure how else to describe it. It was refreshing. We got the tiger prawns and it was presented as a toasta, which had a great flavor and texture. The apple salad was also refreshing and a good portion to share between 2 people. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and my favorite after the tiger prawns was the Dungeness crab pasta. It had uni on top! The uni elevated the dish, and honestly there were a good amount of crab meat in the dish. Overall well balanced and creamy. The 2 of us left full and satisfied. Highly recommend this place for a date night. There's also plenty of street parking when we went but there is also valet for $15.
