The food is so fresh and homemade and gives you a true taste of Russian/Ukrainian food! Our go-to's are always the Borscht soup, Darniskty Salad, Pelmeni, and Chicken Tabaka. They also always bring out some fresh Russian bread for FREE and they are super giving on the portion. The soup is a 10/10, reminds me of the Hong-Kong style borscht soup. Comforting, healthy, and hearty! The salad is by far the major reason I keep coming back. The dill, fresh tomato slices, salty onion, and cucumber with a little zest is so tasty and again super healthy! The pelmeni and tabaka are classics you can never go wrong with. The pelmeni also reminds me of Chinese pork dumplings and are absolutely delicious with their fresh sour cream dipping sauce. Our recent visit, we were sat on the exterior part of their restaurant and it was a bit chilly and windy so the owner provided me and my partner blankets! How sweet and thoughtful. Service is super friendly, just be mindful that it can be a little slow occasionally depending on reserved parties that day.

The kebab was perfect: just enough heat to gently light your mouth on fire, the slow-burning kind that still allows you to savor every flavor. Nothing was overpowering. The lamb was incredibly tender, beautifully seasoned, and absolutely the kind of thing that makes you start thinking about your next visit before you've even finished the first. The side salad - carefully cut slivers of onion, tomato, and parsley - was the perfect partner in crime to the beautifully shaped kebab. Simple, fresh, and exactly what it needed. And then there was the dessert, which was on the house. Somehow, Pasha made me a believer in syrup. I have never particularly liked syrupy desserts, but now a devout fan because of the dessert I had here. I couldn't even wait until I got home to eat. I sat in my car and finished the entire meal, and by the time I arrived home, all I had left were empty paper containers. I'm so excited to have found this spot. I used to be a regular at the Lebanese place up the street, but Pasha has stolen my heart. Mohammad and his sister are also the kindest people and made the experience that much more special. The waiter came by and introduced the menu to us. He explained that this was family-owned and run, and his mother was the one cooking all the dishes in the back. We knew we were in for an amazing treat. I have tried similar types of food, but this was my first time explicitly trying Turkish cuisine. We shared a variety of different dishes. My favourites were the chicken and iskender (beef) as they were uniquely flavoured and tender. The heaps of dipping yogurt provided reminded me of how simple ingredients can make amazing dishes. I wish the manti dish had more filling inside, as it was mostly outside skin and yogurt. Service was a bit slow as only 2 people were running the floor, but overall it was an enjoyable experience. I wish we had tried the desserts, but we were too full.

We wanted to try something different so why not Moroccan food…read more We went on a Sunday night and I would actually recommend that because we had no problems with parking and the place was not crowded. The inside is quite small so I can see it getting quite crowded at max capacity. We opted for the dine LA menu which included 3 courses. First course was the grilled shrimp which was quite good. Spices were complex but not overpowering. I tried the chicken bastilla as well which I actually enjoyed a lot. Next I tried the lemon chicken. My issue with the chicken was that it wasn't just the breast. But that's a personal preference. Otherwise great dish, the lemon flavor is not overpowering, actually subtle. For dessert we tried the baklava which reminded me of the one we make at home. Also recommend trying their tea, very good and a perfect way to end the meal.
