Oasis? For wannabe buckle bunnies and country cougars, this place is probably the shit. For couples that enjoy dancing and a few drinks, meh... The gals here don't give a rat's ass if you're obviously with someone (or have matching wedding rings), they'll butt in and attempt to drape themselves on your date or husband anyway. Still gets a 3-star for being clean and having fair priced drinks, although we've seen no sign of food service, even after asking two "waitresses" that never came back, even though we were parked at a numbered food service table for nearly an hour (waitresses have puffy paint on black waist aprons to distinguish themselves from the customers). They've got some pretty good sized bouncers, too, which are probably necessary after a while. It's a reverse meat market in here, so if you're a single dude and don't mind the walking STDs in the place or have the fear of chewing off your arm in the morning because it's trapped beneath one of these "ladies," then this place IS your oasis! But girls, if you're bringing a date, be prepared to defend yourself. Better yet, if that's your thing, go to a swingers club, instead. CASH ONLY! Bring cash to avoid having to use the ATM. Super laid back place with fun atmosphere! There were 11 people in our party and we easily found a spot to sit all together. Drinks were reasonably priced, nothing on draft. We did not order food but what was being served looked pretty tasty. Bartender service was friendly and quick. We spent time in the country music area and what I would call "Todays Hits" area. I loved the live band! I spotted darts and a few other games throughout the place. My experience at Roman's Oasis was great. The staff is friendly and I received quick and attentive service. Happy Hour prices are great, $2.00 bottled beer. They do not have draft. Dinner was surprisingly delicious. I had the Southwest Chicken Wrap w/ fries. The only downfall is that it is a cash only establishment. I rarely carry cash so that is a bit of an inconvenience. They do have an ATM if needed. I would definitely give this place five stars if they accepted cards. read more

My husband and I went to Roman's for lunch. The atmosphere is what you'd expect out of a dive bar, a great darkness with cool stuff on the walls to look at. Its deceivingly big inside, three different areas to hangout. The food was awesome, best burger I have had in Goodyear. I can see why this place gets busy...great food and a great vibe too. We didn't experience any delay with our waitress taking our order, but it was pretty empty at the time. Only downfall is the parking lot, just a dirt lot. I know they're soon to move, let's keep our fingers crossed the next lot will be paved. read more

We have been coming to Roman's for many years, usually during the day shift, kind you. Last night, March 8, we showed up about 7:15pm. Yes, they had Trivia night going on, however not very busy in that room.We checked the back room, not too busy. We sat in the corner table by the bar,waited about 10-12 minutes & decided to go to the bar for drinks. We then asked for a menu & to,d that there were 4 other waitresses & that they would provide a menu & take our order. My husband brought our drinks back to our table & we watched as waitress after waitress passed our 5able with zero acknowledgment of us being there. we asked another waitress who was assigned to us & she to,d us she would get someone. Long story short, it was 43 minutes from the time we sat down7 til someone came to us & brought menus. There was ZERO acknowledgment as to our wait,etc. Romans, train your waitresses! Assign your waitresses/waiters tables that they are responsible for. By the way, food @ 8pm @ night wasn't great. read more

Came here in early 2013. Was staying in Goodyear for two weeks. Good year is pretty boring. I used to come to this little place after I spent two hours in traffic coming from Scottsdale. What hell AZ freeways are. I used to stop here and get a Blue Moon, and decompress. At the time I did not recall them selling food. I wish they did when I was there. We have lived across the street from Romans for 9 years and never went in because it is listed as a dive bar and looks like a dive bar. Someone said we should give it a try and I am sure glad we did! This isn't your typical "Dive Bar". This place was a great find. The service was good-prices were great - the atmosphere is very fun and eclectic. The biggest surprise though, was the food. This is not your typical bar food! Expecting a bunch of fried foods... not here! This place used to play country in one room and hip hop / R&B / Latin in the other room. Now they play country in both rooms.... And not the kind of country you can swing to, it is mostly the heavy fast country without much dance rhythm to it. This is no longer a good place for dancing. Came here for the first time tonight and we were not disappointed! So pleased because this place is less than 10 miles from home. Erin gave us wonderful service, my Reuben sandwich was fantastic and my wife's hamburger was excellent as well. If you happen to get service, some give you attitude or forget about you. Some are really good servers, but more horrible ones than good. $8 for a small veggie tray? I've been here many times when in town for business. I travel with a large group of co-workers from the LA area and we have been known to frequent this place. On our last trip I went in with a group of 6. Despite 2 of the older gentlemen of our group getting completely wasted and knocking over other patrons beers, the management had no problem with their debauchery. All in my group where white except for our asian friend. Low and behold he was the only one to get cut off and then physically removed from the bar. It was so horrible!!! It was apparent after the others' bad behavior and my asian friend's always chill attitude, that it was racism at it's best. That is not an accusation I make lightly and can't remember the last time I called an establishment racist. Just beware if you aren't white. I love the honkey tonkin' of this place, but felt sick about discrimination. read more

One room is karaoke, another is a live band, a room for dancing and of course a bar area with general stereo music. The drinks are relatively inexpensive and the service is great.
