We had to get assistance from an outdoor maintenance worker when we arrived because the garage map was confusing. He showed us where our spot was with no problem. I understand there are some non-refundable fees but we were charged $452 as part of their non-refundable fees for a "damage waiver". I asked what that was since we had just booked a week prior and were well over 60 days out from our check in date and had not set foot on the property. The person I was speaking with became very defensive and could not explain to me what a damage waiver was. So we are out $452 for making the huge mistake of booking a property with Liquid Life and canceling in 7 days. I also got sent back and forth between them and the travel insurance company over who was supposed to refund those charges. Terrible customer service, absolutely the worst rental agency I have ever dealt with. You'd be better off renting through VRBO.

After a few days my wife and I started not feeling well. As we started to look closer around the unit we noticed multiple locations of mold in the bathroom walls and living area ceiling. Rust in the dishwasher along with rotted/swelling cabinets and flooring not finished with gaps and cracks. Going into this units we understand imperfections and wear and tear. As far as mold and rust, totally unacceptable especially at the rates they charge for the facilities.

The next night my niece want into the kitchen and roaches scattered when she turned on the light. There is also roaches in the shed downstairs where the washer and dryer is located. The blankets and linens are stained and dirty. I had to purchase 5 blankets at the local Dollar General. This condo is in need of a good cleaning and a lot of repairs. I would not recommend this property and will not stay there in the future. UPDATE: June 01 - I was contacted by Meyer Rental regarding our issues. They offered a credit towards a future rental. The grounds were immaculate, the lobby was adequate, elevators all worked the entire visit, and they had handy shopping carts for moving things around. Pools had grills and gazebos for cooking outdoors. The deck going to the ocean was well maintained, lit well at night, and even has a mat going almost all the way down to the beach. Condo was nice, again a little dated, but served us well and was actually clean as you could ever want. AC was cold, bed was 3/5, but the doorways were oddly narrow. I saw some folks on the property that would have some trouble, LOL. Patio was cool. I'd come back, it was really cheap for the stay. It's also right in the heart of Orange Beach situated right in between all of the cool shit the area has to offer. Pro Tip. SWEET CONE ALABAMA is just down the road. '24 - 36/100

It's a condo building managed by Brett‑Robinson, and the unit we stayed in was nowhere near the standard of any resort, hotel, Airbnb, or VRBO we've ever booked. The unit was dirty from the moment we walked in. We found a woman's dirty underwear under the table, food crumbs under furniture, sticky and dirty area rugs, and a Tootsie Roll wrapper that wasn't ours. We also discovered a stained sheet at the foot of the bed, positioned so the stain was hidden unless you pulled back the top sheet and blanket, meaning the bedding hadn't been changed between guests. It was obvious the unit had not been cleaned properly at all. We called about the hot water issue on day one, and again on day two when nothing had been fixed. When maintenance finally arrived, he found the shower valves were installed backwards, so hot water ran cold and cold water ran hot. If something that basic is installed incorrectly, imagine how poorly everything else is managed. I reported the cleanliness issues during the second‑day call. They said they would "report it," but I never heard anything back. Only after emailing photos did management call me. They said they would send cleaners that same day, but no one ever showed up. The amenities were also extremely disappointing. They provide only enough shampoo for about two days, even for week‑long stays. There was no coffee or tea, and no beach towels; something every resort, hotel, Airbnb, and VRBO we've stayed at on a beach has provided. Considering people pay thousands of dollars to stay here, this level of cost‑cutting is unbelievable. I wasn't asking for much, just a clean unit and basic communication. They couldn't even meet that. I would not recommend Phoenix VII or booking through Brett‑Robinson.

We got Married on the Beach there in 2024 and went back for our Anniversary this year 2025. When we went on our Wedding, The Resort, had not Acknowledge that It had Wedding and Honeymooners there, However a Manager Realized it on our 5th day there, and Apologized and sent up Champagne and Parting Gifts to take home with us. We thought that was Very Thoughtful! (My hubby misplaced her card, so I can't recall her name, but I Pray she sees this, if so, I want to say THANK YOU!!) It was still Just as Peaceful, Beautiful, With Awe-Inspiring Views! The Sunrise and Sunset views, Simply Magical. We like to get the LARGE sweet... Well, because we simply Like to. Each stay was an 8 day stay, and it always seems To Fly By, but I guess Magical TIMES usually do. The rooms are Clean, Spacious, Nicely Decorated and we are pretty much, are there in our Own World, until we Exit, as we Desire it! Oh and I will Not to forget that The Resort is Beautiful and Staff, Friendly. We plan on Making it a Yearly, and Maybe a couple of times a Year, Same Room, Same Length of time!(Though we extended a day this stay LOL) We were just in our Zone, but realized One day Extension would be enough, as we had to get back home!

Reading on the balcony while listening to the ocean sounds and watching the waves was everything that I needed. The hotel has beach towels that are easily checked out through a machine. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available first come first serve to hotel guests which is very convenient. There was a heated outdoor pool, a volleyball net and a few games inside. We ate all of our meals at the hotel. We ate at the grab and go food spot. I ordered the feta and spinach croissant, a chocolate chip scone and a cappuccino. We also ate dinner at the latitude 30. I ordered a ceasar salad and calamari. For breakfast at latitude 30, I ordered the French toast dish that comes bacon and I ordered a side of eggs. We also ate at the fine dining restaurant onsite where I ordered the seared scallops dish and the vanilla crème brûlée. All of the meals that we ate at the hotel were very tasty. The restaurant staff were all kind and the utensils were spotless. I believe food may have also been served at the bar near the pool, but I didn't try any food from there during my visit. The property was recently purchased by new owners after being owned by sand owner who opened it in 1987, which is impressive. Mervin in the restaurant was kind and friendly and been there 12 years. Glinda in the restaurant was the SWEETEST lady there. She maker the omelettes. (Get the omelettes!! Yum!) John and Greg are great pool side bar tenders. The gentleman at the lobby bar was also friendly and attentive, we didn't catch his name. The list of things we wished were different is short. Could have used speakers playing music during the times at the pool when there wasn't live music. Wait times in the restaurant were long. (Food was hit or miss...not horrible but mostly unremarkable... However the spinach dip at the casual restaurant is off the charts and the wagyu steak at Voyagers is incredible!!) We cannot say enough about the marvelous staff. We will definitely be back! We wish them luck in this transition.
