They have a nice big parking lot and it was free to park when we went on a Monday. There is a trail and playground nearby so it was nice to enjoy our ice cream after over there. I loved how they had coloring pages and crayons at the counter for the kids to kill some time while waiting for the food! I loved that they had some Asian inspired flavors on the menu which I was not expecting! I kept it simple with a grilled cheese which they serve on a waffle and I also added pulled pork for a small upcharge. The tomato soup pairing was so delicious and it was such a comforting meal in the foggy overcast weather. For dessert, we tried the rainbow brite seasonal sundae, which had these ripe mangoes and ube swirl inside. It was so cute with the little rainbow jellies! The vanilla soft serve itself was really good so I think I would've been happy whether it was a plain sundae or completely loaded like this one. We also tried the guava cheesecake cookie, which was huge and I loved the guava cheesecake filling. Sugarpine did not disappoint and it definitely lived up to the hype. It's a little bit outside of Portland, but definitely worth the drive for the scenery and the food!

The pork sliders and Caesar with shrimp were made with fresh and flavorful ingredients and I can't wait to try their next season menu! Second round was sharing every specialty sundae and we could not decide on a favorite! Plus the presentation of each one was absolutely stunning! I also ended up leaving with merchandise, their graphic designers are killing it!

We must've had some good karma because when we walked in there was only about 8 people in front of us! I was really surprised in how attentive they were once it was our turn. It was nice to not feel rushed and rather everyone in line also understood that as well. I believe it's because everyone knew that they would have their turn. They encourage you to explore all their flavors and to not feel guilty about trying a wide variety of their menu. My group all ended up with different flavors and we were all super happy. I went with a lavendar-based flavor and a sea salt caramel in a homemade waffle cone. I highly recommend coming to tcheck them out.

When we came around 3pm, it wasn't busy, so we got to try some of the flavors right away. They had about fifteen different flavors, including few limited edition ones. We tried about six different ones before deciding the ones we wanted. The staff member was super friendly, politely handing us the sampling spoons with the requested flavors. The store offered single, double, split and kids scoops. They had waffle cone and bowls available as well. We picked the double vanilla and my favorite sea salt caramel ribbons. The kid's scoop costed $5.25 each and additional toppings were 75 cents each. I loved both the scoops. The taste was as good as other locations we had tried. The ice cream was dense and creamy. We enjoyed our time at the store, sitting by the benches they had by the large open windows.

I'm from California, so I'm still not fully used to the way food is served everywhere you go in Oregon. I was thinking, 'Espresso, ice cream, and antiques? That's different.' Is the musky smell of antiques compatible with food service? Not sure how I feel about this, but I ordered a huckleberry soda, anyway. I was curious. It turned out to be one of the best flavored sodas I've ever had. I loved the huckleberry syrup. The antique selection was well-curated. Lots of interesting trinkets and jewelry. Everything you'd expect from an antique shop, plus a gentleman's room full of old Playboys tucked into the back. Service was friendly, and there was plenty of parking. There was no wait. This is a great alternative to stopping by one of the big busy farms if you're just looking for a quick drink, or (obviously) if you're into antiques.

The best deal - if you buy a vase, you are invited to fill it with fresh flowers you pick from the back garden. What? It's totally worth buying a vase just to get the gorgeous bouquet of dahlia, zinnia, cosmos, and more! The biggest surprise is that you can also get some delicious ice cream! It's perfect on a summer day as you are wandering the Hood River Fruit Loop or any season. The ice cream is soft serve, which is my fave. They have a shaded area next to the shop where you can sit and enjoy your treat. Check their website because in the off-season, they are typically open Fridays-Sundays only. It's a fun 6 as with most antique shops, you never know what treasure you'll find. And looking is just as much fun!

Parking is distinctly challenging. I'm really lucky if I can park within a block of the entrance. The line also seems to move very slowly most of the time. I usually give myself an extra buffer of time for this location, which also includes the typical time that I would spend in a line for this type of popular product. It has to be a special occasion for me to invest that much effort to indulge in quality ice cream. I do like that you can have unlimited samples and the staff is usually pretty friendly. I like that the flavors rotate seasonally and the bathroom is usually clean. Unfortunately, there's not much seating inside and there's also minimal options for sitting outside. This place is built well for people who will happen to be walking by on the sidewalk and feel like a scoop of ice cream while having no other immediate plans to follow... and also don't intend stick around to eat it. Maybe go grab a pint to go and call it compromise?
