To say this business cares about their community is an understatement. I've been coming here for a…read morewhile but yesterday they really went above and beyond. I was driving to the store in the afternoon when I heard meowing coming from inside my car. I pulled over to try finding the source of the noise, and sure enough a kitten had crawled up under my car and gotten itself stuck. I went to Lander Auto and Hilda immediately put my car on the lift and began the rescue mission. 45 mins later, she was able to retrieve the kitten unharmed. You could tell she had done this before and cared about the animal getting out safely. Now here is the best part. They refused to take any payment. Hilda said they were just happy to rescue an animals life and it was the right thing to do. We took pictures and she had me out of there with my new kitten in no time. Such kindhearted professional people. I won't ever go anywhere else to service my car. Attached are pictures of the kitten we saved.

I…read morewish I would have listened to my 1st instinct and believed the reviews myself but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. He arrived an hour late and when he arrived he was talking about a whole different job until I told him I needed an alternator replacement. He then apologize and said he had this job confused for his 2nd job of the day. He was here for almost 8 hours in total. For those 8 hours he was here, he had trouble getting the part out. Every time I came out to check he would make a different excuse. He initially told us it would be a 45 min job. The last hour he was here he was released gas and told us it was illegal for him to be releasing it but he had too. He then said he had to go to the store for a few items. He told me he "knicked" a wire on accident and had to replace it but that it always has to be done and it was normal. Once he left we went outside and our hood was closed and he took all his tools with him. We immediately knew something was up because the last times he left to the store, he always left his tools. My husband immediately noticed the hood of our car was now closed and opened it to see what was going on. He didn't "knick" anything. He completely cut off a whole wire that had nothing to do with what he was doing or even close to what he was doing. It was a wire the car needed to even start. An hour passes by and he never shows back up. The old alternator was still in our car. We immediately called another mechanic to come by since we needed our car done . When the other mechanic got here and looked at the car he was in disbelief. He said he never ever seen another "mechanic" do what he was looking at. Not only was a wire completely cut off, the radiator hose was always cut several times and drained out. He was in disbelief and said he did more damage to the car then then anything. He couldn't understand why he continued to rip unnecessary parts out and cut them. He gave us a quote and once we agreed for a time for him to come back, he also let us know the alternator we paid mason for , was not the right one. We called o'rileys to see if we could exchange it and they couldn't even find a receipt with his number or any account with his info on it. We are now having to pay for his mistakes and negligence. We had a feeling this was going to happen but we gave him the benefit of the doubt. Even though he got dropped off and didn't have his own vehicle. Even though he confused this job for another. Even though he didn't have the right tools. He will not answer any of our calls or messages. I am writing this review in hopes someone else doesn't have to go through , what we are going through. He will cut random wires and hoses and then just leave. We will be reporting him to the state and take him to small claims. STAY AWAY!!! DO NOT GIVE THIS GUY ANY BUSINESS, NONE! READ THE REVIEWS! Thankful we found an honest mechanic who is motivated to get our car up and running!
