At any rate, McIntosh's has a designated smoking area right by the entrance of said local Pub and Grub. After I finished a cocktail, I went to their designated smoking area. I smoked my last cigarette so I walked from McIntosh's to Dot's Market (adjacent to The Blue Berry Cafe) to purchase a pack of Winston. Without hesitation, I walked from Dots Market back to McIntosh's then my bartender Jamie handed me my tab/receipt. I paid cash for this bill but please take ONE minute to meticulously review the bartender's handwriting on the attached receipt. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and added fries, and though there was quite a bit of seasoning on the burger, he said that it was pretty good. My son loved the buffalo chicken sandwich, and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the buffalo chicken bites. I ordered the macho nacho for my meal and it was good and there was more than enough for one person. Overall we were very satisfied with our meals and will be back to try additional options.

Good wings are hard to come by. Too often, restaurants serve generic, slimy, over-sauced "wings" barely distinguishable from canned dog food. We heard Romer's might have good wings, so we thought we'd give it a try. We tried-- but we will never know. Let's start at the beginning. Upon arrival, we were met with the aroma of Marlboro Reds (mixed with a couple menthols) on the patio. The smell only worsened once we entered. It can charitably be described as a mix grenadine and urinal cakes. It appears Romer's bottled the porta-potty aroma and doused the dining room. Way to set the mood. But we heard the food was good. So we stuck around. During the 15 minutes between arriving and having a server come over, we thought we'd stepped on to a Jerry Springer set. Between the cut-off shirts, flower headbands, and prison tattoos, the only difference between this and a Maury Povic show was the darkness--apparently, Romer's does not believe in lightbulbs. Instead, neon Bud Light signs provide the only 'light' to the dining room. Squinting to see the menu, we determine we'll try the wings. So we order two orders of 10 -- 20 total. Easy, right? Not so much. Nearly an hour later we have no food. Rest assured, our server tells us, they have two "big parties," so our food will take awhile. We take a look around. The dining room is half-empty. Another 15 minutes or so pass. At that point, our stomachs were meeting our backbone, and it was time to go. We were not angry--it is just a simple fact that if you cannot provide our food within an hour and fifteen minutes we'll go elsewhere. But wait!, we were told. Your food is almost ready. So we decide to take it to go. At this point, the bartender tells us he will give us 15% off. That's it? No thanks. The bartender decides to spew a range of expletives when we tell him we don't want the food. Yes, we have a baby with us. Yes, we have been waiting nearly an hour and a half. And yes we have no food. "What do you want it for free," the bartender asks. No, on second thought we don't want it at all. So we walked out of Romer's and we won't be back. On the way out, the bartender yelled a few more expletives at as. How else do you end a Jerry Springer show? And to think, all we wanted to do was try the wings. Heard good things about this place.... NOT SO MUCH!!! Smells horrible! Very dirty! Lost my appetite there, but had a drink. Servers were nice but the bartender, Andy? was a jerk. Rude to customers and his own staff. Will never return. Too many good places to eat in the Dayton area. read more
