They were really attentive. Never had to ask for anything We started off with bowls of tom yum and tom kha soups. The portions were average/small for a bowl but they were both really great. The chicken satay was really thick pieces and they gave 4 skewers which was really generous The main entrees were fantastic. The crab fried rice was meaty and seasoned really well. It had a great amount of spice as well. If you like spice, go a bit spicier than you'd think when ordering. We also got the pad Thai with shrimp and they have a ton of shrimp! Arguably, Thai Village in Cornerstone is the nicest Thai dining in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. We like Thai and have dined at nearly all Thai in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. Thai Village scores at the top of the Thai list. Expect a nice Thai menu, and we both selected Drunken Noodle -Wide rice noodle, basil, mushroom, onion, bell pepper, baby corn, basil leaves, bamboo shoot, Thai chili paste; she with chicken and he with shrimp. We like the remolded restaurant, and the floor to ceiling windows provide a neat ambience. For the second time, Benz is our server, and he does well. Caveat:The dinner portion of Seafood (Shrimp, Scallop, Squid, Mussel) has great potential. Unfortunately, all of the seafood is overdone - we cannot recommend the rubbery squid. Most folks will not like Thai Hot; so medium and hot is recommended. Thai Village is nearly full at lunch, with excellent noise levels. Finally was able to try Thai Village on Saturday night. We were greeted right away & seated, we were given time to review the menu. They have a variety of Thai options. I enjoyed chicken Thai spicy with grilled chicken at level 4 & my friend had a special with pork, potatoes, ginger. My friend said her dish was very salty. Great to see the restaurant so busy in January but our waiter seemed to be taking care of almost every table in the restaurant he did an incredible job but it took a long time to receive & pay for our bill. read more

I'm between 2-3. Mostly negative for wait times and service. We did a lot of waiting to get seated for an empty restaurant, between meals to get a refill, and to get our check even after asking for it. There were plenty of waiters too. Also they were out of ingredients and didn't let us know what we ordered would be missing ingredients. When it was pointed out waiter didn't know what was supposed to be in dish and noted that the chef looked at menu as well. We were told that the food delivery had been shorted this week . The food tasted fine. Very small portion for general tso meal. All in all just ok. So many other good Thai restaurants around here that we probably won't be back. read more

So last night I pre ordered something very simple. I ordered Thai rice and added chicken, mushroom veggies and OMG it was so good. I am from California and when I arrived inside I was greeted by a gentleman I think because I looked lost. He showed me where my takeout item was and I was on my way. Have always passed this spot when going to Costco running errands and finally decided to give it a try. Really bright welcoming interior. Lots of seating indoor and out and a nice bar to sit at. Service was nice, our waters were never empty which is something that goes unnoticed at a lot of other restaurants anymore. Food was good, if you're nervous about the spice opt for less not more. Visited for dinner the other night and we loved the atmosphere and decor. We were seated immediately and the service was fast and super friendly! For starters we ordered spring rolls, sausage with rice noodles and a tom ka soup. The spring rolls were average, the soup was way too small for the price but the sausage was incredible! They don't make it in house though, we asked the server he said it's too time consuming. Main course was spicy chicken entree and a shrimp curry entree. Came here on a recommendation and it was a good choice and will stop in again. We started off with hot sake, Sapporo, Sidecar and an Old Fashioned. They did not disappoint although add more bourbon to the old fashioned since it was a bit too sweet. Next came the gyoza and Thai style chicken dumplings. The gyoza was excellent but the Thai style chicken dumplings were not on up my alley. Benz and the staff were great and very accommodating. We visited the food trucks in New Carlisle today and found Thai Village on Wheels! Cute little truck and rather interesting because the items were VERY Americanized--but I later found out this truck is associated with the Thai Village restaurant in Centerville, Ohio (from the looks of the website). Service was friendly and reasonably timed. Our friends ordered the Thai Burger and the Thai Burrito. The Thai Burger was literally just a burger--nothing really special. The Asian slaw was alright, just a sweet and tangy coleslaw really. The Thai Burrito is an "American" burrito with peanut sauce. *shrug* The price was O K--$14 for each. I suppose a larger portion of French fries would have made it seem like a better value. Can't say I'll be interested in returning to this food truck. read more

Was our top choice in Asian restaurants. Won Ton Soup. Excellent. Pineapple Fried Rice. This was our favorite dish. This week we reordered it. It was bland. It had the typical taste found in any Asian restaurant. It does have a more generous amount of different vegetables. The usual taste wasn't there. I will go back again and order something different. Poor Customer Service Thai Village is a nice and cozy restaurant in Centerville, Ohio. They are roughly 2 minutes away from my house. So the location is perfect for me. However, on Dec. 9, I took my girlfriend for a quiet dinner. Our meals were delicious so I started to pay the bill and gave my credit card to the server for the $61 bill. The server inserted the card in the handheld credit card reader as we waited. Suddenly, another customer (white woman) from the table across from us gestured to our server to take their orders. Without saying anything to us the waiter ignored us and walked away to take the couple's orders all while her back is facing us. With a stunned look on her face, my girlfriend got visibly upset by the discourteous service. We remained quiet until the server returned with my credit card and apologized. We felt uncomfortable and unappreciated. It was one of the most disappointing services we've ever received. Having lived in Kettering for 34 years and 18 years at my current home, the poor customer service we got is unmatched. We felt unwelcome and mistreated. All the server had to do was to tell the white couple to wait for a few minutes to finish our sale. How could Thai Village discriminate against us to just to appease a white couple! read more

We have never had a bad experience here. Every time we come (which is almost weekly btw), it's perfect. Every meal we have, and I've tried most of them, tastes amazing. It always comes fresh and hot to the table. And the staff here are always so nice and accommodating, even when really busy. Benz is the BEST SERVER ever. If you come eat here, you will be so lucky to have him as your server. He is so fun, funny, and accommodating. If he recommends anything, go with it! He will never steer you wrong. He's attentive and talkative. Makes you feel like family. And I love the ambiance of the place. Great lighting and atmosphere. Good chill music. Tried this place out and I'm glad I did. It was so good! Food came out quick and service was great! The place was not that busy during peak lunch hour but I'm sure it will get busier once the word gets out. The restaurant is very nice and clean. We ordered chicken satay, fresh roll, chicken drunken noodle, garlic pepper chicken and mango sticky rice. The mango sticky rice came out really warm and the mango was hot. Thai Village gave a great first impression when I visited. The interior was open and welcoming and the waitress was quick in dropping off the food. I ordered the sampler for an appetizer which has rangoons, egg rolls, wings, and gyoza, with soy sauce and thai chili sauce on the side. It came out hot and crispy. Everything tasted good. I ordered the beef pho soup and was so happy it came out great (the pho soups I've eaten in other restaurants haven't been good lately). The beef was tender, the broth was flavorful, and the noodles were very soft. The waitress was great in checking in on us, helping us order from the menu, and refilling our drinks. I also tried the drunken noodle entree with chicken and enjoyed how tender the chicken was. In summary, the food was great. The service was great. The place was clean for the most part. I'd advise wiping the booth seats before sitting (saw crumbs and hair on the seat). Other than that, I definitely plan on coming back to try more food from the menu. Highly recommend it! read more

This was a soft opening, but based on what I've seen so far, I'm excited. It's a beautiful restaurant. Great attention to detail. Dishes, decorations, silverware etc were nicely done. I was literally their first customer so it's hard to rate the level of service. My experience was, they were attentive, friendly, and seemed to really be excited about being part of a new restaurant. Obviously the menu choices were limited for a soft opening, so I stuck with classic dishes. Pad Thai, Thai iced tea and a fresh roll. I had the lunch portion, but I thought it was generous. Sushi on menu wasn't available today and server offered us a limited Tuesday menu of sushi that was all that was available today. Server apologized but we should have been told that first when we sat down. Some of us ordered other items from menu, others in our family left and went down to Sky instead for the sushi they wanted. Service was extremely slow and place was crowded and there appeared to be very limited staff. Our server apologized lots of times but that wasn't helpful. When our food finally arrived it was mediocre--luke warm, beef was tough and two of the 'Tuesday' sushi rolls didn't arrive. Drinks were the one good item although a little pricey. $178 later for our 3 adults and 2 children, not worth it. We won't be back. read more
