I have a friend who's daughter brought her 2019 Chevy Equinox to this shop for engine repairs back in late August early September. Now her going here by herself she didn't fully understand what she was getting into without having knowledge of auto repairs or someone else who had the knowledge. Honestly though she shouldn't have needed anyone else if this shop owner was an honest and principled person. But because the shop owner is neither of these he took full advantage of this young lady's lack of automotive knowledge. First he quoted her an engine repair of $2300, he had her pay the full amount in advance and only gave her a partial receipt for that payment. He then proceeds to keep giving her the run around as to when the repairs would be done but at the same time telling her the vehicle would be ready by certain days that came and went. Every time her car supposedly was going to be ready he had a last minute repair to it or he wasn't available. Finally after a month of empty promises he informs this young lady that repairs are costing more than he quoted her and he would need to charge her more money! This is a 25 year old that works full time and has children to take care of. Of course that didn't matter to this guy, all he cared about was taking advantage of someone's child! Needless to say the repairs are not complete and the vehicle was retrieved and will be taken to a reputable repair shop. Please Detroiters be aware of this ingenious business and its behavior. We should never tolerate this type of treatment in our community.

I originally came to you guys last month to get an Vavle Gasket cover replaced. I was told that the part was going to be ordered than I can bring my car. Once the part came in I was called and informed I could come drop my vehicle off and pick it up after 5 hours. The next day my car was still not done then I was told the mechanic (Lenny) hadn't started working on my car yet. Two -three days later I was told that all the parts hadn't come in yet which is crazy because why wasn't informed this BEFORE I dropped the car off. A week and some change of getting the run around I finally get my car back and the check engine light is on (NEVER was on Before)but was told because engine work was done that the light comes on then resets itself. I drive the car for a few days the light never goes off and it has some shaking and word sounds coming from the engine. I call the shop to let them know the light is still on and my car is making a weird notice. My car ALSO starts to over heat. Again something that has NEVER happened before. Inform the shop and they tell me to bring it up to check it out. That was last Wednesday it is not Tuesday and just like the last time I am CONSTANTLY getting a run around. I call from my number with no answer the immediately call from a different number and the phone is answered. At this point I feel as they I am being scammed or played with. This is HIGHLY unprofessional and I need answers and my vehicle fixed. A five hour job has turned into a night mare and weeks of me having no vehicle. I need to speak with the owner Brian ASAP! I called and they promptly looked up my vehicle need and found my rim for $45 with exchange of the old rim. That price was much cheaper than the others wanting $130+. I arrived and waited about 15 minutes for them to find the rim and mount my tire ($5 extra). Overall I have been satisfied with the service and selection of salvage parts. TIP: They don't put the parts on when you buy them from the counter. They open at 8am on Saturday and you should arrive early since they close at 2pm.

They do oil changes and all the basic regular maintenance you need for a car. If something is broken, they will use their huge salvage lot inventory to find a replacement part. If they dont have it, they can get it from elsewhere. Each time my car has been fixed, theyve done a phenomenal job. The one downside is that you will probably have to wait, because they are very busy. But once its your turn, they're quick to get you in and out. I'd recommend arriving at 830 or 845 am and waiting for them to open. Then you'll be out in no time. Otherwise, bring a book and take a seat!
