I do not recommend getting a laptop or computer repaired at this company. I dropped my Lenovo…read morelaptop and took it in for repairs. They told me they would call me later that day or the next. By halfway through the second day, I called them for an update. They said they were working on it. Three hours later, I called again, and they gave me the same answer. This time, they mentioned they were preparing a quote for the repair because the motherboard was damaged and it would cost $750. They explained that they would need to send it out to a specialty shop. However, they assured me they could back up my data, which I requested, and they did manage to do that. When I went to pick up the laptop, I noticed a plastic bag taped to it containing some hardware. I asked what it was, and they informed me it was the SSD (the new type of hard drive) from which they had retrieved my data. They did not reinstall it in the laptop, which I found puzzling, as I intended to take it to a locally owned computer repair shop for a second opinion. Having never opened a computer before, I thought, "What do I have to lose?" So I opened it up and found the connection point to reinstall the SSD. I had to go and buy a small screw to secure it, which they did not return with the SSD. To my surprise, when I turned on the laptop, it worked perfectly! I am not sure what they were doing for three days, other than backing up my data. Honestly, the store name should be changed to "We Break It, You Pay Us, and You Fix It."

We were pointed to this location through our phone insurance company, asurion, who provided us a list of locations that fix cracked phone screens for $29. Thankfully we only had a cracked phone screen situation. Of the three locations suggested, we chose the Vernon Hills location based on the great reviews. To make the appointment, we filed a claim and prepaid ahead of time. We were given a specific time to come in, and when we dropped off the phone we filled out a questionnaire to verify the diagnosis. We were told to come back in 1.5 hours. They called us at exactly 1.5 hours to come back and pick up our phone. When we picked up the phone, it was like nothing ever happened. The phone looks brand new, and it is brand new because my son just got the replacement after destroying his other phone two months ago! Take note, they used OEM parts and our phone was replaced with an original Apple screen. The phone repair is under full warranty. The business was clean and orderly, and the process was super duper easy. Nice waiting room with mints and a Keurig coffee machine. The employees were friendly and courteous and did everything they were supposed to do. To this day the phone is working like a champ!

I found 911 Tech Repair online and I was happy to know they were right down the street. The pricing was VERY reasonable and it was a one week turn around time. Which was also reasonable for me since we were leaving in about 12 days right when she broke her iPad screen. The iPad works great and looks as if it had never broken. Experience one. My second experience was when I took in my iPad mini. It was put away in my drawer for about a year and some odd months. I had lost all hope. I had cracked the screen in a small area but as time went by the cracked screen got bigger and bigger. I finally took it to the mall in 2014 to get fixed. They fixed the screen but the iPad mini never worked again. The functions were not doing as instructed. I had no idea the mall stand had done a bad job. I just thought the cracked screen had effected the entire gadget. I had already taken my daughters big iPad this December 2016 when I told him about the iPad mini and he told me to take it over. He educated me on what the place in the mall had done wrong and how he could fix it. He told me to come back in 3 hours and that is what I did. My iPad mini works fabulous and I am so happy to have found this place. I strongly recommend it.

Horrible expierience!!!!! After getting frustrated without resolution, owner came out and and screamed fxxx you 3 times in a row at the top of his lungs. don't make the same mistake and go elsewhere! this owner or manager is not a business man. and no one wanted to give me his name. how he has more good reviews than bad ones is baffling to me. after reading 911 hackjob response. yes there was a tmobile disruption. however my phone still does'nt have any text or phone network. Everytime your company screws something up, by accident or dishonest upsell, you will always have the excuse of blaming the guy who supposedly was internally into the item previously. a person would'nt know this after you already opened the item up! Understand, everything worked except blurry close pictures before i came in. I now have nothing. Bought another phone. This outfit had no response to ruining my phone. No insurance, loaner phone, and was yelled "fuk you" 3 times in a row by some creep, who would not tell me his name. Previously, when walked in back to lock my sensitive files. i noticed how discustingly dirty this shop was. electronic shops should be virtually sterile. This is not acceptable. So what happened to my phone Einstein? There was a company when i was a hvac tech that worked for a very slick dishonest owner, which I would not work for anymore, and quit. i know how shady businesses work. Stay away!!!!

***MILITARY PERSONNEL*** Stay away from this place. Extremely expensive and predatory. My daughter…read moregraduated naval boot camp and her phone screen was broken. We visited this business and initially all seemed well, he talked the good talk and mentioned since my daughter was military he'd provide a discount. Come to find out he inflates the prices for military personnel then provides a "discount" that actually ends up costing more than prices for the general public. A simple screen change/repair I've paid $40-$50 for the same exact phone but we were desperate as her phone was inoperable due to the broken screen thus leaving no other option since she was to ship out the next day. I ended up paying $150.00 after "discount". People like this should be put out of business taking advantage of our military members. Unpatriotic POS. If you have no other choice, do not go in uniform or mention anything about military as you will be charged more.

They tried to tell my son that he needed a brand new battery port for $130 and he went to another place and they simply blew out the dirt from his battery port and it worked fine and they charge him $30. When I called, the guy tried to tell me that that was not the safest thing to do and so that's why they didn't recommend it. Total scam.
