I found Ron on here 12 years ago when I moved into my house, and have never needed or wanted another electrician. Ron is awesome: tremendously knowledgable, skilled and caring. I've utilized Ron's services at least 10-12 times over the years -- from simple jobs (installing ceiling fixtures) to intermediate jobs (hard wiring an EV charger to my electrical panel) to complex jobs (a garage renovation/conversion with all new wiring and a sub-panel added.) Ron came through each and every time. Never a problem. Never an issue he couldn't solve. And never something he couldn't explain, or didn't have the patience to explain, to a dolt like me. He is extremely giving of his time: not only does he not charge to assess the issue, but also he does not charge for follow-up questions once the job is complete. Nor does he charge to go shopping for a part or doodad you might need but that he does not have in stock on his truck. Yes, it might take you some time to get an appointment (especially if you are a new customer) because Ron is quite deservedly in high demand, and he also prioritizes existing customers over new ones. (Which I am of course biased when I say I think that's a great philosophy!) And he's also not the most punctual person you've ever met. So if you have an absolute *emergency* then Ron is likely not going to be the fastest one to your home. But if you have any job where planning, fastidiousness and professionalism takes precedence over speed, I am confident that you will not find a better electrician for the job than Ron. read more

He's done a number of projects in two homes, ranging from finding the root cause of outages to fixing faulty breakers to bad outlets and light fixtures to replacing the motor for my attic fan. This review is long overdue. Regrettably, toward the end of last year part of the electricity went out in my old house. My house still uses fuses, and although I did check all the fuses and circuit breaker, I could not fix it! This is where Ron comes in. I called him and explained the problem, sent pics, and set a time for him to troubleshoot and hopefully fix. I walk into the theater room and the entire room seems to be out of commission. I walk into the connected bathroom and the lights aren't working there either. I try manually to turn on any of the devices but to no success they are all not showing a pulse. I knew at that point I needed to call someone. So I searched high and low, where I came across Ron's Electronics. We spoke as he helped me assess the situation but it was during the holidays. So because he wasn't in the local area at the moment he did the next best thing to recommend another trusty friend to help me get the job done. I mean how can you go one more day without the theater room working when you have 3 rambuntious kids running around in the house? This review is long overdue, but we contacted a few electricians about our smoke detectors around November of last year. Ron was by far the most communicative and clear, and luck would have it happened to be available soonest. So glad that was the case, because he was professional, pleasant, and knew his stuff. Ron is the best! We replaced a dishwasher in one of our units, and the thing was so old it was hard-wired into the building. Ron came out and saved the day by re-wiring a new pronged plug into the new dishwasher and installing a new four-receptacle outlet for the dishwasher to plug in to (we needed four as one side was for disposal and had to be wired to a switch). So we bought a condo and the electrical panel needed updating, so the sellers just gave us a credit to fix. I perused Crapslist and found someone to claim he was an "electrician." I won't name names, but Pan was a disaster. After taking 2 days and not being able to connect 4 MYSTERY wires, he sloppily put the panel together.....then we asked him to install a 3 way switch and after an hour of trying, his excuse was "there are a million different ways this could be wired" and he failed to get the switches working. To his credit, he didn't charge us for the time it took him to fail. So I looked at Crapslist again and got lucky and found Ron to handle the 3 way switch. Ummmm, in about 10 minutes, all switches were working. I had him install some ceiling lights (him being 6'4 makes this easy). Price was reasonable and all is working. He makes it in my speed dial. Well 2 years later, on an unusually cold evening, we learn what those MYSTERY wires were for: our radiant heat! Brrrrrrrr. Called Ron, and Bam, after some sawing, digging, and exploring, wires were wired and rewired and we have heat. Good guy with patience and is pleasant. Knows his juice. read more

First of all, he was the only electrician to actually return my initial phone call and then actually show up to check out the electrical system. Our house uses an old electrical system that most houses stopped using after the 70's...the dreaded relay switch system. Prior to meeting Ron, I had no idea what that meant...but he took the time to explain it all to me and show me how this particular system works. Knowledge is power and he helped to empower me! This is the second time that I call Ron to do electrical work in my home. He is licensed, gets there on time, knows what he is doing, and an all around nice person. This last time, I needed a 220V outlet for my espresso machine. But before he got around to doing that, I had a problem with a fireplace that was supposed to work with an electric switch. I'm pretty handy, but I gave up after spending several hours trying to find out what the heck was wrong with it. Ron took his multitester and started checking output from different wires. In about 15 minutes, he discovered that the fireplace has some safety features that prevent it from lighting if the damper is open, and also, one of the wires to the transformer was disconnected. Now my fireplace is working and I have a warm feeling. His fees are really reasonable. read more

My experience with Ron is on par with Jennifer N's. I was so excited to write him a good review as soon as he left. We had a mystery circuit in our home that stumped my contractor brother and father (they spent at least 6 hours trying to figure it out). It took Ron about 30 or so minutes to identify the problem and come up with a solution. He also fixed two dead outlets. Knowing that my wife and I are recent first-time homeowners, he pointed out services that I wanted that would have been too costly to us. He also showed me how to install a bathroom ceiling fan myself, to save us additional money. His rates are more than reasonable, and was very generous with his billing. Not only was he cordial and friendly but he jumped on explaining the situation I had at hand and pointed out some things that I would not have even thought of on a level that really made since to me.
