Ron has taken care of our Kenmore Washer/Dryer and dishwasher for 10+ years. He's always given us fair price, done excellent work, and showed up on time. Recently, we replaced our dishwasher with a GE brand, only because in matched the matte gray finish on our other kitchen appliances. We called Ron when the dishwasher clogged in hopes he could recommend a GE certified repair person. Instead, Ron took the time to walk me through the process of disassembling the overflow, clearing the drain, and fixing the problem without a service call. My dryer broke down on Friday. I called Ron Potts, who asked several question about the issue and promised to by here in the morning. Like promised, Ron showed up on time, diagnosed the problem within five minutes. Ron had brought the faulty part (sign of a true pro) and replaced it along with cleaning the area and hooking the dryer backup. Ron took the time to explain what happened and how to safeguard it from happening again. Ron has worked on several appliances for me over the years and is a skilled technician. He does great work but I can't give anyone in his trade an excellent review when he doesn't have set hourly labor prices. I called him recently to ask about his labor charges that I felt were very high and he told me that he decides when he gets to the job how much labor to charge, based on how difficult the job is, not how long it took to complete the work. I find this somewhat unusual with the potential for someone to decide how much they think I can afford and adjust their charges accordingly. My suggestion is that you clarify with Ron ahead of time about what he thinks he'd charge and not wait until he shows up. read more
