A year later, in September 2018 when it was time for the stairs, we contacted the store. It was necessary to go to the store to prove that we had an agreement to do the installation. The manager of the store came to our house and told us that the stair design would never be accepted by the building department. This was not true. We obtained approval of the design within days and communicated this to the store. Then, we heard for nothing two weeks. Finally, after we made repeated telephone calls and left email messages, the manager told us that The Finishing Store did not have an installer that would do the work. We were abandoned, imperiling the completion of our house. We recommend against doing business with this company under any circumstances. BTW, The stair system was installed by a local company in Duncan. It looks great. We wish we had known about and contacted this local compnay before we ever heard of The Finishing Store.

He showed great respect, something I rarely encounter these days, and he took into account what I needed instead of pushing me forward quickly. I had gone inside seeking welding supplies, assuming I roughly knew what I was after. But William made the effort to pose questions and ensured I actually had the proper equipment for the job--he knew his stuff. It turns out, I was short on some things I hadn't considered, so he certainly saved me an additional trip or two. That standard of care and genuine customer service leaves a lasting impression. He didn't regard me like just another face in line. He confirmed I got all that I needed before I went. For years, I've been visiting Home Depot, and moments like these serve as a reminder what keeps me coming back.
