I came to see Dr Iverson for a consult for a breast augmentation. I must say, based on the reviews I was kinda nervous. My friend had hers done with him a few years ago and her results were amazing. I found dr Iverson to be amazing. He took his time with me, answered my questions and reassured me I was in good hands I'm 14 days post op and I couldn't be happier with the results. His staff and team are reassuring and accommodating. I have the Dr only 4 stars because he is a tad on the "old school" side and some things I didn't particularly care for, such as leaving stitches in for 2 weeks, the need to wear the surgical bra without taking any "breather" time to let my skin breath. I have had a ruptured implant since I was 28, I'm now 36, I paid the warranty if something happened within first 10 years.. I went back within 9 years, BUT couldn't afford the doctor FEE, hospital FEE, Surgery FEE, all these FEES, warranty ONLY covered the IMPLANT it's SELF ONLY. therefore I was unable to have my implant replaced and my health at risk. read more

I'm sure he's a very good doctor...But I couldn't get over the little things. My friend and I went to his office to research a "procedure" that she is interested in. Dr. Iverson was well recommended by some friends who had also had the "procedure" done. So we made an appointment and made the drive up to Pleasanton. When we walked into the office, I felt like I entered a time-warp...back to the 70's...tweed couches...dark wall-paper. The only new things in the office were the magazines. I went to check out the bathroom...the most telling room in any office. It was clean, but still out of the 70's with the linoleum wrap-around countertop and mauve colored toilet. But I have to give them credit for the L'occitane hand soap. We have it in our office, so I know it's expensive. But, that just wasn't enough. We got called to the back by the nurse who led us into a room labeled "library" where she popped in a VHS tape and asked us to come out when we were done. As a health professional, I HATE educational videotapes. I think they are cheesey and impersonal. Anything said in them should be conveyed by the doctor to the patient...personally. Even before the video was done, the nurse said "okay, let's go to the doctor's office." So she lead us down the hall to yet another room that was adorned with plaques, diplomas, and accolades for Dr. Iverson. So, I was optimistic that he would WOW me. In came an older gentleman who walked with a slight limp. He looked very nice and was very friendly. But he was very succinct and to the point. We spoke for about 5 minutes before he led us to yet another room...the exam room. Again, it was very clean. Just very old. He did a quick exam, took one measurement and then gave his recommendations. Another 5 minutes. He always asked if we had any questions, but since we had done our reseach, I was more interested in learning about him than I was about the procedure. But he wasn't very forth-coming. He then excused himself and told us to come outside when we were done so his nurse could discuss finances with us. So we went outside and she led us to a litlle room with 2 chairs and a desk. Did I say it was old? While we were waiting, I heard a type writer clicking away. That's a bad sign! The nurse walked in and put a piece of paper in front of us and said, " This is the fee." ....SILENCE....more SILENCE. I was expecting a little more explanition...or just something! Talk about bad communication skills! Finally she asked if we'd like to schedule. We asked when his next available would be. She said "Next friday." ...SILENCE...."and then he's booked far out." At that point I had had enough. We thanked her for her time and said we would think about it. I'm sure Dr. Iverson is a great surgeon. I've seen his results and the look good. But to me, I like a doctor who keeps up to date with technology. Any doctor who maintains the same decor for 30 years and still uses a type writer, just isn't in the modern era. And the staff...most of the time it's the staff that sells the case, not the doctor. He needs to find a consultant to teach his staff the verbal skills to sell a case. It's all about making the patient feel confident and safe in your office. I didn't get that vibe here. But I'm sure he's a great surgeon. read more

Dr. Iverson has been my cosmetic surgeon since 2004, I've had well over a dozen procedures, about four of them surgeries. All my results have been exceptional, I followed the orders provided by his office for proper healing to optimize chances of nearly invisible incisions. Dr. Iverson has the skill gained from a lifetime of practice and experience. His steady and educated hands can transform a face into exactly what you want to see. i almost died when the procedure that dr. ronald iverson performed on me went totally wrong !!!!!! the last thing i heard them say was "are we calling 911 !". also, 2 days after my surgery, i had to go in for another procedure because dr. iverson did not cauterize something right and so i had internal bleeding. guess what ....... he charged me again to correct his mistake !!!!!!! he should be in jail. i am older and wiser now. i should have sued him and made sure that he lost his license. he shouldn't be practicing at all !!!!!!! how did he get away with this for years !!!!! i also had to spend more money to have other doctors correct his mistakes. i will never ever forgive him until the day i die for what he did to me !!!!!!! read more

Well I had rhinoplasty done by Dr. Iverson a couple years ago, I'm not sure how he is with other procedures, but he wasn't the best at the nose job. At least with mine. My nose had always been wide and stuck out alot, after the surgery it was still wide and stuck out but now it was crooked too. So I had a secondary surgery to fix it, which I had to pay $1000.00 for. After the secondary surgery it was a little better but still not what I expected. All in all I would not recommend him for rhinoplasty. On another note DO NOT finance through Care Credit....That is a whole other headache in itself. Lets just say in the end I paid around $21,000 for a big crooked nose...=( read more

I just read a review from somebody who went to Dr Iverson and didn't like the decoration so decided not to have a procedure. Ok... I come from Brazil, famous for it's plastic surgeons and how many celebrities had procedures done there, I also went to Dr Iverson and had a procedure done which not only look fantastic and natural in appearance but also was a "piece of cake" in terms of before/after care and healing process. So, my point is if you are looking for a decorator, shop around, you might find a Dr with Picassos and Van Goghs on the wall,and rest assure you will be paying for those too, but if you are looking for the most qualified, competent plastic surgeon around with an amazing staff Dr Iverson is your man. He is an artist... no time to chat chat. And by the way... I don't care if he is conservative in his decor, I don't hear of many doctors whose nurses are working for him for more than 20 years. I have had a few procedures with Dr. Iverson in the last 25 + years. Dr. Iverson is the only Plastic Surgeon I have ever used and I have not ever considered using anyone else. I have recommended Dr. Iverson many times. I had implants done at one time and decided later in life to have them removed. If I could give negative stars I would! I had surgery from Dr Iverson back in Oct '06 and it turned out OK (or so I thought) I had to have a revision in July '12 and decided to go back to Dr Iverson.....Boy was that a mistake!!! I had my revision surgery and from the get go, it looked HORRIBLE! I went back several times to discuss my results and they kept telling me "just wait, It will get better" In the meantime I went and consulted with 2 other reputable surgeons and both had about 30 years experience and BOTH said the results were less than mediocre! I went back in Sept for my 3 month check up and to discuss a refund, from the moment that Dr Iverson walked in the room he was rude and defensive. i asked if we could come to an agreement to get a refund and he scoffed and said he is not financially responsible or obligated to redo surgery (WHICH THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD LET HIM!) He kept trying to leave the room, but I kept explaining to him that it looked awful! I finally asked him "Are you proud of your work?" his answer was astounding! He said NO he was not proud of it and he wasn't happy with the result, yet still won't help me! He kept insisting that he did what I asked and just did the surgery. He made it sound like he was swapping out a car part!!!! I am no plastic surgeon and that's why we go to experts to get their EXPERT opinion. WHATEVER YOU DO ....DO NOT GO TO DR IVERSON!!!! I want prospective patients to understand that Dr Iverson is not a perfectionist. He performed uneven liposuction. Many years later, I deal with fat on one side and none on the other. This is a chin/neck procedure caused so much scar tissue that I unsuccessfully attempted to have the one bad side corrected by another plastic surgeon. There are too many good plastic surgeons in the bay area. Pass on this one. read more

After 10 years of contemplation, I finally went ahead with breast augmentation and chose Dr. Iverson for my procedure. I could not be happier with my decision. He listened to my concerns and seemed to really understand how having children and breastfeeding changes/deflates the breasts. I also have a pretty severe scoliosis, and he was very in tune with my chest wall deformity and how to augment my breasts to achieve a full, symmetrical shape.
