Went here for Valentine's Day with my gf. Everything we tried was a 10/10. We will absolutely be back for more. Their service and ambiance were also top of the line. I will absolutely recommend this restaurant to friends and be back next time we are in West Hollywood. My personal favorite was the sweet cheeks pizza. This may be my current favorite pizza in La. All the flavors molded together for the perfect bite and the crust had just the right amount of chew. The truffle arancini was also surprisingly delicious and was my girlfriend's star of the night. Really great pizza spot! We came here on New Year's Eve for dinner with some friends. Got the broccolini, carrots an focaccia to share and all were incredible. I'm always impressed at places that can make a simple vegetable taste SO good. They had special pizza with white sauce and Calabrian chilies which we tried and loved. The service and the food were great. The pizza could have been a little firmer and a little less floppy but the flavors were really good. Appetizer was tasty and pizzas came out right in time when appetizers were done. Had to ask for a desert menu but that's not a big deal, and desert matched the rest of dinner. My gripe is with the lack of parking and the fact that they tack in a 4% charge for health care. Just remove the stupid fee and raise prices by 4%. Tasty pizza and fun cocktails. Seating inside is communal if you're open to that. Our server was not that helpful when we asked for recommendations, he rolled his eyes when we told him it's our first time and we asked a couple of questions. Not a biggie, it's LA , lots of servers with personalities, but I don't think it's unreasonable to ask questions about menu items. Hoping this is an isolated event. Wow - what a great dining experience! Little tucked away - if you know, you know. The exterior has a beautiful mural and the hostess greeting station gives a nice garden vibe. The interior has muted lighting and an ooen kitchen/bar area. The wait staff is knowledgeable, pleasant interaction, and ensured the various items were sent out at a relaxed pace. Special thanks to sending out the kids pizza out first! The food... we started with focaccia and burrata. Large pillowy bread wiyh crusty exterior. The burrata was so creamy, beautiful pesto and generous sprinkle of pine nuts. As we were wrapping that up, they sent out the broccolini. The plate was decorated with a bright lemony smear of aioli. And then came the pizzas... French dip calzone? What an inspiration! A French dip inspired calzone generously filled wiyh roast beef, but the kicker was the accompanying au jus. Poured table side, this is more like the rich interior of à French onion soup. Unusual and very flavorful. "Spicy Chomper" pizza was chopped soppressata and chili oil. Zesty flavor. Amd the "Sweet cheeks " pizza was also delicious. Prefer a tomato sauce based pizza, but this sounded intriguing. The bacon, ricotta and persimmon (sadly I missed the fig topping by one day) were a great combo. The crusts were done perfectly- light char, chewy, and held up to the generous toppings. Portions are huge - even the appetizers - and this from a group who can eat! Pity because the desserts would have been on par. Great customer service but the mushroom pizza and arancini mushroom balls left more to be desired. The crust of the pizza was chewy but the base was soggy. Had the texture of cooked lasagne sheets. The mushrooms were thinly shaved and didn't pack much of a flavor. The arancini mushroom dish came with three fried balls of the rice, mushroom, and cream. We ordered two cocktails. Not too special but under $20 each. We came because we saw an ad of it being vibey but the food was NOT good. Parking is tricky but there's valet as an option. Free street parking after 8PM. There were many tables available for reservations for the night when we looked around noon, so we decided to walk in around 8:30. It was packed. I highly suggest booking a reservation. Guys, the dough is meant to be chewy, that's what Neapolitan pizza is all about. That said, the crust here could use some work. It leaned a bit too doughy and could definitely be more airy and crunchy to really hit that classic Neapolitan balance. I ordered the margarita pizza and (forgot the name of the other), which I did enjoy, the flavors were on point, and the char, burrata, and tomato sauce came together nicely. The food was generally good. I would order the meatballs, focaccia, zucca, and caesar again. The caesar alone is what bumped this place ot 4 stars for me. It might be the best caesar I've had, especially recently. I would skip the brocollini, the butter + anchovy add-on for the butter, and the brooklyn. The broccolini was overcooked for my taste, the butter + anchovy was good but not worth the additional cost, and the brooklyn was fine but I wouldn't crave it again. No doubt the pizzas are technically good, but the specific ones we got were not my favorites. The zucca was my preference of the two, though. Went here for dinner and it was definitely a great pick! We were seated outside, which was perfect since it was such a beautiful day. We arrived during happy hour, so we kicked things off with the pork meatballs there were two, not sure if it's the same portion on the regular menu, but they were absolutely delicious! The meatballs were juicy, and the sauce had amazing flavor. For the main course we ordered one Margherita pizza and one Spicy Chomper. Their aperol spritz was delicious and the no big dill was refreshing For starters we ordered the Focaccia with Gravlax and the Burrata. The focaccia was warm and pillowy and the whipped ricotta made the perfect bed for the lox to lay on top of. The burrata was insanely good. The cherries and fresh mint on top were a uniquely delicious combo. Their avocado toast was massive. It had a mountain of delicious greens and sumac on top. It was great! I had a great experience at Ronan so I'm sad that I didn't come across this place sooner. Ambiance: Great for date night or dinner with a few friends. The vibe is cozy, intimate, and a little industrial in design - made me feel like I was in New York. Might be a little tight for larger parties. Service: Phenomenal. Skyler took care of us at the bar and made the whole experience really enjoyable. You can tell that he has a lot of pride and excitement about the offerings here. The other staff at the bar were great too! Food: Get the clams - it comes out with a cheese pizza on top, which melts into the clam broth. This is probably my new favorite clam dish ever. Also, the spicy caesar salad is a must. I thought the chomper pizza was ok-good. I think it was just outshined by the clams. I'd come back to try another pizza though. Cocktails: Just yes. We ordered like 3 different cocktails and all were really well balanced. The lone warrior tasted like an old fashioned that wasn't too strong. The perfect meal at Ronan is: Pan-Roasted Jidori Chicken (the whole chicken is a much better deal than the half, and feeds four people); vegetables (any of them); focaccia (w/olive oil) and Gold Medal Ribbon Ice Cream. Maybe Coffee Oreo, too. The chicken is moist, the skin is crisp and not fatty, the olive and pistachio pesto at the bottom melds with the bit of fat at the bottom of the plate that you will happily wipe up with your focaccia. It makes you realize how difficult it must be to get this perfect, because no one else in this town can do it. And then you get to their ice cream. It's the best in town, period. I love coffee ice cream and I LOVE Oreos, but these are not brand-name Oreos. They are better. Homemade oreos that they make only for this ice cream (sorry I didn't get a photo). The fudge and caramel in the Gold Medal Ribbon are thick and gooey, probably even better than CC Brown's in Hollywood or Fenton's in Oakland used to have. Burying that instruction inside the box after the fact is unacceptable. That needs to be clearly disclosed before a customer orders--especially at your price point. This completely defeats the purpose of ordering takeout and frankly ruined the evening. At minimum, this should be communicated upfront so customers can make an informed decision. read more

Ronan is a good experience and my husband and I enjoyed our dinner here. The caesar salad lives up to the hype. My husband said it's the best caesar salad he's ever had. The foccacia knocks it out of the park. I was underwhelmed with the pizza though which is why this review is 4 stars and not 5. I think there are just too many really good pizza places in LA. The service was outstanding though. Definitely 5 stars for the hostess and our server. Our server was knowledgable, bright, warm and had great recommendations. This restaurant is a must try! To start, we had the crudo, a beer, and A VERY DELICIOUS aperol spritz (compliments to the bar tender). The crudo was interesting, but it had a pleasant taste--very fresh and light. If I'm not mistaken, the pizzas here are wood-fired (I COULD BE WRONG) but the pizza is a delight and you can really taste it in the crust. The margherita pizza was one of the BEST pizzas I have ever had... truly. My first time eating Ronan pizza was at Coachella Music Festival this past year, and it was so good I had to visit their LA location! The pizza was just as good as I remember, if not better. For dessert, I had to try the tiramisu, a dessert drink, and the house made ice cream... I'm not sure what flavor the ice cream was but WOW! AMAZING!! I've heard about Ronan for a few years, as Eater covered them a bit during the pandemic and they are a staple on LA's top pizzas list. Given how many times I've passed it and how close it is--I could walk there in 20 minutes--well, somehow I just never managed to get there until last night, when my foodie buddy suggested we try it out. So try it out we did. It's a cute and comfortable spot, with a patio that would be lovely on a warmer day, a long communal table, some booths and bar seating. We'd opted for the bar, as it's fun to be close to the action, and that turned out to be a good place. We managed to arrive during happy hour (which went until 6:30 p.m.), and we took advantage of that to score half-price glasses of wine and get a price break on their meatballs. Those things arrived as we figured out the rest of our choices, which were their lettuces, carrots, the kingfish crudo and, of course, a pizza. The meatballs were good (maybe a little dry but rehydrated decently by the tasty sauce), but I think I preferred all of the things that came after. The lettuces were farmers-market fresh and dressed properly--a good portion that didn't feel heavy. The carrots, recommended by our server, were fab. They came with a spiced yogurt, coriander and honeycomb--very cool combo. The kingfish crudo was a nice counterpoint with its pickled chilis and pink peppercorns. Of course, the pizza was the main event. How 'Nduja Want It...well, I want it again. And again. The pizza is Neopolitan-style, so it's a little gooey in the center. It doesn't come sliced, but we're both capable of using a knife. Crust was chewy and perfect, and the flavor combo of the spicy sausage, gorgonzola and pickled celery (wow) was a bullseye. We also supplemented our original glasses of wine with a non-alcoholic choice: a mocktail called the Gin Gin Fizz, which features ginger and sour pineapple, along with orange blossom, egg white and seltzer. We both really enjoyed this; it's nice to see thoughtfully curated mocktails. For dessert, we opted for the tiramisu, which I find to be a good yardstick of an Italian restaurant's desserts (if not their cooking as a whole). The one at Ronan was one of the best I've had in recent memory. In sum, Ronan feels like one of those great neighborhood spots with friendly service and a relaxed energy. You can spend some money here (I think we dropped about $95 each), but when you consider that bought us a pizza, four share/small plates, 2 glasses of wine, 2 mocktails and a dessert--and everything was yummy--it felt well worth it. I'm also excited about the prospect of just grabbing one of those awesome pizzas to-go and enjoying it at home. Either way, Ronan is a winner. read more

I wasn't going to leave a review but today I talked to one of the owners about our dinner last Sunday and I felt like she was very defensive and not at all apologetic. This restaurant makes fantastic drinks and a really good steak tartare but we ordered 3 entrees and 2 salads that were subpar. When I called to speak to the manager, I made it very clear that I was not looking for a credit or a refund or anything like that, but still, I felt that the owner was, like I said very defensive. When I mentioned that both our Caesar salads had 22 anchovies between them and that that was a bit much (which would have definitely caused the extreme saltines of the dish), she said that's my preference. The very middest of mid, and a big selling point for me is that it's within walking distance. Service was mid, hosts while very sweet and welcoming are not efficient. A standout was the Burrata appetizer, otherwise I'd agree with some of the detractors here that most things taste a little blackened/burnt. We had a few of the veggie sides (all pretty smoky/burnt), focaccia with the burrata, and the margarita pizza which made the crust not really edible for me as I am not a smoky-flavor fan. Fortunately both dishes were excellent, but the slow service was positively unacceptable. The nduja sausage and sweet cheeks pizzas came later. In spite of having ingredients like guanciale, they were flavorless and doused in unnecessary things like honey. Please let the guanciale sing like it does in any dish. Pizzas were soggy and the crust could not stand up to being drenched in grease. Service overall was slow and spotty. Total meal took 2.5 hours. Would not return. Heard this is an LA staple so had to check it out. Focaccia with Burrata: nice and crispy exterior and soft interior. Perfectly seasoned. The Burrata and pesto really complimented this well. Highly recommend! Sweet cheeks: the way this thing was cooked was insane. Thin core and fluffy crust. Really great flavor with the ricotta and the honey to cut through the savory meat. Was told to get their coffee Oreo ice cream. What an odd but great mix. The Oreo balanced out the bitter coffee flavor. Very good with a side of c Got a reservation and sat on the patio.
