While Dr. Douglas' staff is professional and reliable, I would never recommend Dr. Douglas. Aside from her dismissive behavior, I have since moved out of the area and have had to have two of my fillings that Dr. Douglas did redone as they have not held up. I wish I had known of her poor quality of dental work before I went there. You only have to read a couple of the poor reviews on Yelp to realize there is more than meets the eye with her. I seriously question if the positive reviews are even real clients. read more

Updating my review because another dentist has since informed me that there was decay left behind in two of the fillings because they were not adequately cleaned out beforehand, leading to me possibly needing a root canal. Also, while I was literally sitting in this dentist's chair getting one of the fillings that had fallen out re-done, another one that Dr. Douglas had given me just popped out. He wasn't even touching that tooth, in fact he had barely touched the tooth the entire time I was there, and yet it literally just popped out??! I'm not a dental professional, but I don't think it takes one to notice that something was not done right with these fillings. read more

I'm honestly amazed that Dr. Douglas has so many positive reviews. While her beside manner is fantastic, her assistants are rude and her practice is extremely difficult to work with. I had seen Dr. Douglas as a teenager and into early adulthood. Her hygienists and administrative staff were consistently rude, and I began to have doubts about whether Dr. Douglas' was actually that helpful a dentist for a while, but the final straw for me was when her office called me to reschedule my appointment with her as she wouldn't be available at the time I had scheduled the appointment. When I asked when I would be able to see her, the receptionist tried to make me schedule out another three to four weeks. I couldn't make an appointment that far out, and I wanted to see Dr. Douglas sooner, especially since she was cancelling on me. The receptionist told me that I clearly "lacked compassion" because Dr. Douglas had a medical emergency, which hadn't been previously mentioned and also not something I think a patient should be guilt-tripped for and shamed. And accused of having no compassion. I mean, really? Dr. Douglas only works four days. She is extremely difficult to get an appointment with, and she has no flexibility. They also demand, for some reason that I suspect is rooted in greed, a notice of 72 hours in advance if you have to cancel or reschedule an appointment. That is THREE days. How often do you know three days in advance that you need to reschedule an appointment? Life don't work like that. Shit happens. My mom had an appointment on a Monday that she had to cancel, and gave them a call. When they told her about this policy, she told them it was 72 hours in advance, and they protested that it wasn't because they weren't open on Fridays. It's difficult and stressful to find a good dentist. And unfortunately, Dr. Douglas isn't one. Keep looking. read more

Dr Douglas and her team are incredible. Not only is the team extremely skilled and fast, they are also kind, and truly care about their patients' experience. While I currently live in the Peninsula area, I waited until I could make it up to Marin to see Dr Douglas for recent dental work because of the amazingly positive experiences I have had in the past at this office (Dr Douglas was my regular dentist when I lived in the north bay). This facility had a last minute cancellation so I was able to squeeze in as a new client.. I haven't been a dentist in a while (which is almost an understatement), so I was a bit nervous.. but this place made me feel very comfortable! Very friendly staff, easy going, and outgoing.
