    Large Fried Okra
    Trang C.

The food was really well flavored. I would suggest calling ahead to order. The fish was really crispy and well seasoned. I give the catfish a 9/10! The large order of okra was such a great value. It was very crispy as well! The okra got a 9/10. The fried shrimp was soggy, and that was probably bc it was underneath the catfish. It was still pretty good. I give it a 7.5/10. I would just get catfish if I were to come back. I came in, and the cashier was super sweet! I would definitely come back. Overall, a 8/10 for my experience!

    4 piece fish tail dinner

I wanted to like this place like a fat kid loves cake. It's got my favorite, catfish tails, as a dinner here for crying out loud. Placed order via phone at 12:32pm today (Saturday). Was told by lady that it wouldn't be ready until 2pm because the catfish tails had to thaw (?) but that she would call us as the food was being dropped in to the oil so we could be there to grab it "fresh". Never happened. We left at 1:55pm anyway and got there at 2:10pm and was told there were no tails thawed. WHAT THE FREAK? They offered to comp us and allow me to get something else, but then suddenly a guy from the back appeared and there were magically 4 thawed tails cooking. Got food at 2:32pm. Got back to the office 15 min after that. The fries are under seasoned and just a throw away, which is fine. I didn't come here for the fries. The tails are too dark - the oil the were cooked in wasn't right. It tasted sort of old and stale and the tops of the tails with the meat in them were cold in the middle, so these weren't thawed enough I guess. I'm going to throw them in the air fryer when I get home to salvage them but overall, I'm giving this meal two Gary Buseys because it's crazy to me that it took two hours from ordering to eating to get fried food. Won't be a returning customer.

Great food and great service. Eric gives you a lot of food and its fresh. The restaurant it self is very clean

    Superman daiquiri was good!

I had this spot book marked for a while because my family loves a real good fried catfish. I went to the salon across the way and when I got out, I went right here for lunch! I ordered the bone in catfish which comes with fries, a side salad and a whole jalapeño. I got the superman daiquiri. I won't hold you, the food did take a little while to come out around, 20 minutes I'll say. But I didn't mind because everything is made to order so it's fresh. I did notice a couple complaining about the bone in catfish and they started arguing with the cook and he had to explain to them that they didn't order fillets so the bone in looks different lol but the fish was fried to perfection. It had really good seasoning. The fries were not the greatest very standard. I want to try more sides next time, they were giving out samples of the fried green tomatoes and those were very good! Overall, everything was great except the fries and the wait time but it was worth the wait. Just know if you do go on a busy weekend. You probably won't get your food for around 30 to 40 minutes. I'll be back and next time I'll get the fillets and I want to try the peach daiquiri!

Loved this place and we really appreciated the friendly service! Great atmosphere and music! We placed an order to go. Took about 20mins which was fine bc it was fresh and hot! I had the catfish fillets, my cousin had the seafood potato, and we both had daiquiris! It was all good! My only complaint was no hush puppies served with the catfish meal but overall will def go back!!

Excellent catfish! I typically don't use hot sauce, but it was a match made in heaven that I couldn't get enough of, and the cold and sweet Bob Marley daiquiri was the perfect chaser I needed. I placed my order over the phone, and it was ready when I arrived 15 minutes later. Everything was priced well, and the service was excellent. If I ever crave catfish and daiquiris, I'll be back for more!

Was excited to check this place out and support a BOB. The server was super friendly and so were the customers. Not much of an ambience just a place to pick up food. It was a 15-20 min wait for my catfish and shrimp combo platter. I also ordered a daiquiri to go. After my 15-20 minute wait, the server brought my food to the car and after a 5 min drive home, I was expecting to tear into my piping hot meal. Only issue was it was already lukewarm. After a 7 min pop in the oven, I finally got to try. Everything was delicious. My lesson learned for next time is to call ahead and ask that the food be dropped minutes before my arrival so it comes piping hot.

Supposed to be a 10 piece filet fried extra crispy but breaks apart when trying to pick it up.

Before I begin, I want to express that I seldom leave reviews, but this experience truly warrants one. My feedback centers on the customer service and the presentation of our food. My wife and I ordered a 10-piece filet. We initially wanted nuggets but were informed they were out of stock--curiously, they had filets available but not the nuggets. It seemed like the cook didn't want to prepare them. We also asked for a link basket, which was unavailable, so we settled for the 10-piece filet instead. Upon picking up our order, which totaled $37 and some change, I paid $40 and told the cashier to keep the change as a tip. I went to the car, I opened the bag immediately since my wife and I had been sick for three days and were eager to eat. To my astonishment, the filets looked unappetizing and nothing like the quality I've come to expect from Ronnie's Catfish after nearly 20 years of supporting, dating back to the South Dallas and Oak Cliff locations. My entire family, spanning generations, has enjoyed Ronnie's, and I even considered opening a franchise myself. When I observed that the filets appeared mushy, I decided to return inside to show the cashier. My wife wanted to accompany me, and together we approached the register. I expressed my concern, stating, "I'm so glad I checked my food first and didn't just drive off." I opened the box to demonstrate that this was not a proper 10-piece filet. I mentioned our long-standing loyalty to Ronnie's and that we had never encountered filets in such poor condition The cashier (white lady with tattoos) asked me to wait while she fetched the cook. When he arrived--a short black man--he seemed agitated by our request for quality food. He started cursing and said that the food wasn't like that when he made it. He then said "man let me come out there cause I ain't from here". He then walks away and tugs on the front of his pants underneath his shirt as if he was about to pull out a gun. Very dangerous because you may not be from here but this is Texas. We are packing sir. Please don't act like you're going to pull out any type of weapon as it could be very detrimental to the people inside of the establishment. This is crazzzyyyy!!!! All we wanted was our food to be how it normally has been for the past years. The cashier admitted that the filets had been squished because she placed another box on top of them. If that was the case, shouldn't she be responsible for replacing our order? We are talking about a $40 meal, after all. The same cashier, who has been responding to reviews, is not the owner, but her demeanor raises questions about the integrity of the establishment. She claimed that other customers witnessed us mishandling our food, which is utterly false. We are seasoned diners who spend considerable amounts of money on meals and certainly do not engage in such behavior. We just go home from Vegas a couple of days ago where our last meal there was Carbone which the ticket was $360. I say that to stress that we spend big money on food so $40 is nothing. They refused to provide a refund or remake our order, which feels unfair, particularly for loyal customers whose family has dined at Ronnie's for generations. If you are considering visiting this location, I strongly advise against it. Instead, I recommend the North Dallas location on Audelia, where Veronica, the owner, maintains professionalism and addresses employee behavior effectively. The quality at this Plano location has declined significantly since the departure of a former employee, Blair (I think that's his name, guy with the long hair and deep voice. I will be reaching out to Veronica to ensure that Mr. Ronnie is made aware of the poor representation of his franchise. I have a strong feeling that based off of the employees actions that the problem is deeper so I will be contacting the Texas Department of State Health Services in the morning as I believe this location needs to be further investigated and inspected. This situation is truly disappointing.

Had to go to one of my jobs and this place is super close to it. Never recognized it before but I'm usually never at my pt job for long. Decided to give it a try after doing a quick yelp search. Went in and the guy working was really nice. He had a super deep voice and was a cutie. (That's neither here nor there but thought yall should know) Anyways, I ordered the 4 piece catfish with no bones. It comes with fries, pickles, toast, and a jalapeno. I didn't tell them to fry my fish hard but I should've because that's how I really like it. However, the fish was really delicious. It's really catfish and not that imitation stuff lol But the breading was good and well seasoned and not overly salty. It's hard imo to find good fish in the northern dfw areas but this was not a miss. I'll definitely come back for more and to try more menu items. The guy also brought it out to my car and I thought that was really sweet because he didn't have to.

Love this place. It's my third time visiting this location. I have experienced other locations but they are not quite as good as the Plano location. This time I got the Fish & Shrimp combo with the Seafood Mac & Cheese and shrimp. It appeared that the Mac & Cheese had crab meat and crawfish. It was really good. I went early and I was actually able to call my order in this time. The place was quiet so the wait wasn't long at all. I would suggest going early this place gets super busy. But the food quality is always top tier! Def recommend this place. Can't wait to try the stuffed Turkey legs and pork chops!

Really really good catfis hands-down some of the best that I've had in Dallas and it's real catfish. None of that sway. You can get it filet, nuggets, and even whole catfish on the bone. The shrimps were really good too. Will be hitting this spot up again. check it out if you're looking for some good fish they have other items too like wings and pork chops I'm going to try and a few other dishes soon and will provide an update. The food is cooked to order so there is about a 15 minute wait but you can call it in or order from their website as well.

This was the large nugget order minus 4 pieces.
    Yang L.

Catfish was great and we tried the tail, nuggets and fillets. All good. I like the tails the best. Bone in just has more flavor. Their hush puppies are similar to corn fritters. Okra was very tasty as well.

Thick pieces of delicious catfish, yum!

Perfectly spiced, nice and firm, served up with a couple of boiled new potatoes. A little bit of everything size-wise--big, small, mostly medium--but every single one was delicious. Washed it all down with a cold draft Shiner... couldn't have been better. Great food, great timing, and a vibe that's upbeat, welcoming, and just plain fun. Definitely a spot worth dropping into!

I sat there loving the celery. THE CELERY! When was the last time you read a review about how great the celery was? My only "complaint" (if you can call it that) was that you only get one little piece of garlic bread cut in half. So I rarely get dessert but the bread pudding sounded great. It is served hot, but not so hot that all the ice cream melts. This has raisins but I think they may also have se Ocean Spray Craisins. I could be wrong but there were two different colored things in there. So the main point of my review is even bad stuff is WONDERFUL here

The Wagyu was incredibly tender, and the lobster bisque was rich, flavorful, and probably one of the best I've ever had. For our entrees, we ordered the filet mignon with lobster and the ribeye with lobster mac and cheese. Honestly, every bite was amazing. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the lobster was fresh and buttery, and the lobster mac and cheese was unforgettable. A lot of times, fancy restaurants have a great atmosphere but the food doesn't quite live up to the hype. Eddie V's was the complete opposite. I've had only 2 food issues over the years. On one occasion, I sent back a poor-quality prime rib. On another, my lobster was overcooked and had to be replaced. Both were legitimate quality concerns that any restaurant of this caliber should address. During this visit, I ordered the crab flight, which was advertised as including three different types of crab at 1/2 pound each. One of the crab selections was clearly not a 1/2-pound portion. After waiting approximately 15 minutes and requesting to speak with the manager three separate times, Ali finally came to the table. Instead of listening to my concern or attempting to resolve the issue, he immediately became dismissive and told me there was nothing they could do. His justification was that "they have tried to help me in the past," apparently referring to previous occasions when the restaurant corrected legitimate mistakes with my meals. He offered no solution, no effort to verify the portion, and no interest in retaining a loyal customer. The interaction was abrupt, rude, and unprofessional. I felt singled out and targeted simply for bringing a valid concern to management's attention. What was most disappointing wasn't the portion issue itself--it was the complete lack of customer service and respect from a manager at a restaurant that positions itself as a fine dining establishment. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I can no longer recommend this location.

There is so much food to share for two, that sometimes we even have some leftover for another small meal. The waiting line to order often winds towards and sometimes out the door and is right next to people dining at the tables and chairs. Additionally, if you place a to-go order there is really nowhere to wait. We took our food home and it's so easy to warm it up in the air fry oven while munching on the salad. I almost gave up on good quality seafood in Dallas but @pier88dallas has met my expectations out for sure! What really stood out was their customer service! The servers really take care of you! They plate and pack up your food for you. Something I have never experience at any seafood boils restaurant The ambiance was very nice! Family Friendly and plenty of space to host events! I definitely will be back @pier88dallas! Go check them out and tell them @foodiesonthemove_ sent you

Makes you feel like you're on a ship going deep sea fishing for fresh seafood. Teresa was the server I had. She was so sweet and broke everything down. They have happy hour on select food and beverage items from 12-6pm Monday through Friday, but go ALL DAY Sunday so this is the place to be. You're entertained the moment you walk in as they have an upbeat playlist for guests to sing/dance along to & also have some TV's throughout for those who want to stay in the know. Food was also really well prepared & served HOT. No complaints at all. As of now they also provide guests with a 10% off coupon if you share your experience with them on Facebook, IG, Google or Yelp so don't be afraid to take advantage. I'll definitely be back!
