Great beer selection and if your going for the purpose of that this place is awesome. The food however isn't very good. We got a sampler and I didn't really enjoy anything on there. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff, which is important because their craft beer list is ever changing. I come here often enough that they know what I like and can tell me what the new IPAs are right off the bat. Music is a wee bit loud sometimes, so it's not a place for a quiet conversation. Definitely wish they'd bring back trivia night. Pint night on Wednesdays is a lot of fun though, and my cabinets are full of pint glasses to prove it. Some friends decided to go there over the weekend (about a month ago) so I decided I would go as well (knowing how I felt about this bar and really wanting to like it.) We sat out on the patio (after coming from BigShots next door - the two bars share a patio.) Our server (I can't recall the girl's name - a real sweetheart) was friendly, attentive and visited us often to make sure we had what we needed. The beer selection, the patio, the food are all worth checking out. I was very surprised with the amount of beer this pace offered, it isn't anything like the big dog Flying Saucer but for a smaller bar with a pup style line up it was very nice. I have ordered the cheese plate and fried pickles, some of my friends have ordered sandwiches and they loved them. I have seen coupons for this place on Groupon so if you do plan to go to dinner here and get drinks it would be worth picking that up so you can try whatever you want guilt free. The patio is smoking but inside the bar I believe is not, or I have just been very lucky and have never gotten stuck near smoke inside. Today was our first visit to Ron's Corner Tavern. This was our first trip to a restaurant since the pandemic started, and we were looking forward to a new experience. We were NOT disappointed. Our server, Ian, was not put off that we had a Groupon, and instead, gave us what we would call undivided attention. We ordered wings, chicken tostado nachos and fajitas. Everything was served hot and absolutely delicious! We sat on the patio, which we had to ourselves. They have happy hour from 11AM to 7PM, Mon - Fri. The patio does allow smoking, but the inside is smoke free, another plus for us. My husband usually does not like trying new places, but he was reluctantly willing to try this one, "just this one time". We both left with the idea that this is our favorite new go to restaurant! Ron's Tavern is a diamond in the rough.. I was insanely impressed with the bartenders, the beer selection, the backstory of the company and the crowd that frequents this place. I have wished upon a star many times for a place in the HEB area similar to somewhere like Flying Saucer or The Gingerman and FINALLY my prayers have been answered. I love the small, quaint atmosphere and was incredibly impressed with the food menu. The grilled chicken pesto sandwich was freakin' delicious, HUGE and more than worth the $9.00 price tag. So this is something that Bedford has needed for a long time. It has been open for just over a year and I have been going since day one and love every visit. Not only are they sporting 30 taps that always seem to have something new up whenever I go in they also keep a great bottle selection. Staff is by far some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. All of them really seem to know there beer and are always ready to talk beer and help find something that you are going to enjoy. Yes please! I have been here twice and both times I have been impressed by both food and service. A hideaway off 183, they offer a large and beautiful selections of beer and alcohol you won't find anywhere else, boasting a scotch at $135 a glass!! I'm no connoisseur of fine alcohol but I imagine one would be delightfully impressed. The waitress we had was exceptional, making us feel welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere could be as casual or picturesque as you desire, depending on where you sit. They have a covered outdoor patio complete with a fireplace that creates the sort of intimacy one might expect at a private party. Inside the bar there is floor to ceiling shelves filled with all types of beautiful and exotic bottled filled with some of the best alcohol's from around the world. The food is delicious and well made, coming out in a timely manner and complimenting our drink choices. I will most definitely be going back and feel like I have found a hidden gem!! Ron's has a nice vibe in a location that desperately needs a real tavern. I have been craving a decent cocktail since I have moved to the mid-cities area. Ron's website and menu boasts the Sazerac as one of their specialties. bah. It was awful. So bad, that I had no desire to try any of their other cocktail offerings. The pleasant enough bartender made the drink in under 30 seconds and returned it ungarnished in a room temperature hiball glass. I was underwhelmed. Asked for a lemon peel. They didn't have any. He did give me a lemon though. I ventured a sip and then flagged down a 2nd bartender for bitters. They were not busy just 5-7 of us at the bar, but it is clear the passion of this place is beer. So I think someone looking for a decent beer selection and a non-smoking place will dig it. I would have prefered there not even be a cocktail menu at all. For $8 dollars, this drink is an epic fail. Simple syrup and rye poured in the same glass and served up neat shouldn't even qualify as a cocktail, and it is certainly not a Sazerac. That's all. Dissapointed. read more

A small treasure tucked away in the corner! The inside of the bar was quite small. However, this should not deter your from checking it out. Went to Ron's for the first time with a big group on a Wednesday evening. It's a small pub and it was pretty busy and looked almost full by the time we left around 8. I had the grilled fish tacos to eat and they were WAY better than I was expecting. Three tacos with huge slices of avocado on top and excellent flavor..I've been craving them ever since! For those who don't drink beer they have three different hard ciders to choose from, including Crackberry from Bishop Cider Co. in Dallas. Loved the ambience/decor..lots to look at. After moving to the area I was interested in trying some local places. I really did not anticipate finding such a place so close by. Having the desire for a quality craft beer, I invited a local friend to join me to try this place out. Once We were there, ordering a beer, I was able to tell that our waiter was very knowledgeable of beer and how to direct me to something I was looking for. I will return, and drag my friends as well to introduce them to a hidden gem. I have seen others have a good experience with the food, but others have had some strict criticism. The jury is still out for me as to how good the food is. My understanding is that they share a kitchen with the adjacent bar, so I'm a little suspect as to what the quality is capable of, but this is. It a deal breaker for me at this time. read more

They have a wide variety of beer selections and their pizza is fantastic! Only complaint would be the service. We walked into the restaurant and no one offered to seat us or even acknowledged our presence. We ended up taking a table outside, which was great, but the waitress seemed to keep forgetting about us. After receiving our first drink order, we didn't see her again for half an hour. I then ordered another drink, which she never brought, and once we got our pizza she was gone again. It took two tries to get our tab and a long wait for her to pick it up.
