John and Gilly arrived at my apartment I just moved out of to remove a few items of furniture that we no longer wanted to keep. When John was in the bedroom, Gilly was speaking to me from my living room with his bare genitalia pulled through his open fly. He was asking me questions while I clearly had my head down trying to not look at him. After the furniture was removed I said I had to follow them out and leave because I was trying to remove myself as fast as possible after this experience. As a woman who was alone and by myself I felt very scared, unsafe and uncomfortable. I would recommend to only use this service if you will not be alone until something is done about this. I have not yet heard back from a supervisor after myself and my husband contacted multiple times. They have been hanging up on us when we call. Horrible experience. Ron and Josh were hired to move my bedroom furniture. There was a problem getting into the storage unit, so the next day I paid them extra for inconvenience. Josh kept calling and asking for money. He said it was going toward my next move. When the day cam. He never showed up. Had to pay another mover to get my stuff. Come to find out bedroom set was not in unit. They stole all my bedroom furniture and everything else. Josh blamed Ron. Said he would pay me back and replace my items. Never did. The movers themselves were ok. They were friendly and prompt. They worked hard and fast on a hot day so I gave all 4 of them a $20 tip but they forgot to give me my big screen tv so I had to call about that. They did bring it back over at the end of the day. They also lost a bolt for a recliner which made the top of the recliner collapse on whoever sat on it. I had to keep bugging them to fix it and they finally sent someone over after 2 weeks. One of my bureaus and one of my bookshelves had several large scratches on them but I just fixed that myself with furniture touch-up markers. What was the most shocking and disappointing though was when I saw that they overcharged me because they must have been confused. My sister and I split my parents' furniture after my mom died. Our moving days were 2 days apart. They overcharged me. My move was only from my parents' house in Woodbury to my house in Woodbury but they charged me from Woodbury to Levittown because my sister lives in Levittown. I told them about that and sent screenshots to prove it but I still haven't heard back from them or been reimbursed for that. I'm planning to move again this year but I will be looking for a different moving company. I wanted to give 2 1/2 stars but since that's not an option I was generous in rounding it up to 3. read more

Had all my stuff boxed up prior to Ron's moving coming out. Had a ton of boxes and 5 book shelves. Nobody had the common sense not to drag the shelves across the ground. They did almost $400 worth of damage there as well as over charging us by close to $300 with an bs overtime fee and their guys taking a break, which of you read the literature they give you, it says that ALL breaks and lunches to be deducted from final billable hours. So for an $1100 move they did $400 damage and over charged by $300. Don't use this guys unless you are moving something you don't care about. Moving for dummies: I would imagine the first chapter of a book so titled would be don't drag stuff across the ground! What a mess they caused. read more

Ron's did a bait and switch gave us one price and then shook my wife down for more money when I was not home. Reporting them to NJ Consumer Affairs along with BBB. Actually had man stay in house until they got more money and wouldn't leave. She is a senior citizen and was frightened by their shakedown practices. Considering filing criminal complaint. read more

This is a moving company. They say STRESS FREE MOVING. It is anything but that! The guys are nice enough that moved my furniture, but they did not bring a truck that was big enough for my furniture. My furniture was crammed in and obviously not covered so it was scratched and dented! I couldn't believe it when we got to the new house. Plus they charged us $700 over the estimated price, They said the job took longer than They thought and they had brought on an extra person. Meanwhile, they did not even take everything and my husband and I had to make six trips back-and-forth to get the rest of what they left at our old house. They did have someone fix my furniture (after I had to run after him and arrange it myself) but it's not perfect and it should never of happened to begin with. When my husband approached the supervisor who was at our house about the damage and the $700 over the estimate, he walked away while my husband was talking to him. When my husband asked him why are you walking away from me, his response was, " we did our best". REALLY? My precious grandfather clock was broken and left in the garage probably, hoping I would not find it until after they left which was the case. My husband and I had to carry in the clock o'clock ourselves that evening. When I called the company about the broken grandfather clock I got no response whatsoever. I don't usually write reviews but I felt this was totally necessary. I wrote a review on Ron's moving company website, but they conveniently took it down. Ron's moving company moved my daughter from a second floor two bedroom apt to another two bedroom apt last year for $800. I called them to move the same exact bed set( mirrored headboard w/ Columns on each side and dresser). I was quoted a price of $199-$299. I believe that to be fair. However, when Ron calls back.... Now the price is $450???? What in the world for? If I didn't pull a muscle in my chest, I could break it down and move it myself for way less than that. They moved the entire apt ALONG with this bed set for $800 last year. They must charge $350 to move a two bedroom apt because they're trying to charge $450 for just the bed set which is absolutely ridiculous considering you moved the entire 2 BEDROOM APT for $800 including this bed set ONCE AGAIN! Bad business! They don't stand by their word. They'll quote you one price then tell you another. Sorry, you won't get me! I can rent a truck for $50-$100 and pay someone $100-$150 to move it!!! Do Not use this company. Save yourself the headache. They are unprofessional, uninsured, they break items, and move slow. Ron's Moving is fantastic! I had a 3-man crew help me pack and we spent the day having a great time working, chatting and rocking out to classic R&B. To say my possessions and treasures were were well protected is an understatement! Two days later a 4-man crew moved me - another full day. Both days the guys didn't stop working - no breaks, in 85 degree plus heat. I don't know how they did it, but they never stopped smiling and were beyond polite and extremely efficient. I use this company in 1999, 2004, & 2011 & each time they were affordable. The last time it was after hurricane Irene and they were in demand. They were late, but they made it up to us by sending more man power for the same amount of money. As with every move stuff gets broken, so if you can't afford moving supplies, use newspaper and tape to wrap your breakables. read more

Do not use this company. They are very unreliable when it comes to taking responsibilty for things they have damaged. After numerous attempts to have them come out and rectify the situation, they came out 2 months later and finished breaking an antique. After telling us they've never broken anything, the ''owner'' jerry stepped right on the dogs water bowl and broke it. They lie about what they're going to charge and bring more men than needed. My 2 year old daughter is more responsible than this company. If you plan on using them pay by credit card and take pictures of EVERYTHING. read more

They ask me for $200.00 deposit and we had a fixed date to move but just a couple of days before moving into my new house the underwriter didn't get all the documents ready for the closing date so we hade to change the date for 1 week later, I called the mover and ask if we could change the date but the first thing he said is that I will loose my deposit, the guy was getting very unfriendly, I would "NOT"recommend this mover, he should have given me the courtesy and say OK you loose half of the deposit and I would have no problems with that. read more
