Amazing sandwich. Pulled pork smoked on site, chips perfectly crispy. Great sandwich! My husband ordered the fish and chips. The fish was a little too heavy on breading for my taste, but he ate it all and enjoyed it very much. Decor is pretty neat, old cans, Edison bulbs, nice display behind the bar - over all fun and funky eclectic and elevated beer ambiance . If you're in Addison, it is a must do place. My date and I stopped by on Valentine's night for a couple drinks. First impression: very cool interior with a wall made up of vintage beer cans. It was a Sunday night and a holiday so it was a little slow inside but as we stayed a bit longer, more people showed up. Maria was bar tending and very knowledgeable- she was able to recommend new beers to for us to tr and she was on point with all her recommendations. They also had my personal favorite, Cedar Creeks Dankosaurus on draft! Major points there! Looked like they had about 35 beers on draft as well as bottles and cans, and a fully stocked liquor selection. Quite a bit of whiskey and bourbon to choose from as well! I saw a Groupon so I decided to try this place. Wednesday night had a pretty good crowd. It's a narrow place. We seated ourselves and it took 8 minutes before someone came to our table. My boyfriend ordered a Pepsi. It was flat. So he tried a sprite and it tasted like tap water. The waitress admitted they have a problem with their carbonation. The menu looked good. My bf ordered the Cowboy Burger and it was delicious!!!!! It was a big fat juicy burger serves hot with onion rings, bavon, pulled pork ane cheddar cheese. Omg their fries were perfect. I think they use sea salt. Not to mention the presentation. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. That was delicious too! Loved the gravy and the julien vegetables. The servings are just right. We left a few bites on our plate. Oh and I like the music in here. Pretty lively. I love the lighting here too. If only service was quicker when we first arrived this place would've received 5 stars. If I had gone to Ron's for the selection of beer or whiskey or scotch then I would have given 5 stars. But since I was there for the food I'll give it 3. My companion had the cowboy burger that he said was delicious. I got the blackened chicken alfredo pasta that missed the mark. The chicken was not very good. It tasted frozen, it was too firm and bland even with the blackened spices. I also felt there was too much alfredo sauce. The broccoli bits were very good, though. I would like to go back and try something else because the menu choices looked great. And also have another beer! read more

This is a great Happy Hour place! It is a great atmosphere but I do wish they had more wine choices. The group didn't eat much as we were mainly there for cocktails. We just had some Texas Cheese Fries, with the brisket, and the Alligator Hush Puppies. The fries were great but the hush puppies could have been been a bit more done. The main reason I didn't give 5 stars for the evening was actually two reasons. First, the first waitress (Stephanie?) kept calling me "Sweetie". I did not like that because I am probably old enough to be her mother. It is probably habit for her however she needs to take that into consideration because it can seem condescending. Secondly, there seemed to be something going on between the two waitresses during shift hand off. Not sure what but it wasn't good and it was enough that everyone at the table noticed it. That made things get a bit uncomfortable until the first waitress finally left then it went back to normal. I will definitely go back but I'm hoping that we won't see that again AND I will order the 'gater hush puppies again but extra crunchy! ;-) read more

For some reason, finding Ron's Place was very difficult for me. They have a big R at the entrance that I didn't compute as Ron's Place so I ended up parking in the back and walking in. I came here for a work event with a large group of colleagues. There is a large variety of beers on draft so you can easily get a flight or just get a bunch of tasters and go to town. They have a limited wine selection but then again, what else do you expect from a beer centric establishment? The bar food itself was pretty standard. Cheese fries, wings, and the awkward 2 pieces of celery and ranch. Our waitresses were.. well, it was an interesting back and forth to find out who's tab we actually were on. We had two waitresses helping us out but sometime in the middle of the night, someone was finishing up their shift and then all of us were forced to tab out. I love coming to this bar on Sunday's.. Especially since this is the home of the DFW RAIDER NATION! Great service, solid food.. I never have any complaints. The bar tenders are quick and accurate.. And everything comes out fairly quickly. They have a huge liquor menu and that's always a plus. Best part about Ron's place is that it's non smoking! This place is like a beautiful facsimile of the original in Bedford-- same long, cool bar-- same comfy plentiful banquette seating -- same nifty old beer can collection --even the same kind of quality employees. They must be very selective (& then presumably treat their people well) because I've never had anything less than excellent, expert service at Ron's in Bedford, and I always see the same staff. Addison is off to a good start with friendly attentive staff & a very, very impressive beer list. Bold move, coming into Flying Saucer territory-- but if Ron's can maintain the kind of awesome beer experience I've come to expect in Bedford, I'll choose them when a night of drinking takes me to Addison, too. Highlight of my night was Smuttlabs Smoke Peach Weisse, which was the perfect recommendation based on my mood at the time, complex, sour & odd. Walked in here last night looking a place to watch Copa América USA vs Colombia. Since my wife is expecting I loved that it was a non-smoking establishment with a pub feel. Strolled in around 0830 pm but by 1030 pm it was getting full and atmosphere was picking up. The wait staff was very attentive and the number of beers in tap is unbelievable. My wife and I tried the cheese fries with the brisket and jalapeños and it was very good. I wanted to order ot a second order but instead tried the blackened chicken Alfredo pizza which was was also very tasty and large enough for two very hungry people. Overall, I got the feel of a very welcoming neighborhood bar with excellent drinks, food, that's clean with excellent ambience. I would definitely return however for patrons facing the tvs at the tables towards the back I would reconsider the placement of pendant lighting as it obstructs the view of the tvs on gameday. read more

Wait staff is usually very attentive and friendly. Deduct one star for the smoke smell.
