Would be a 0 rating if possible. We paid them $2,484 in June, 2024 to repair a leak. That repair did not resolve the issue and they did another repair in February 2025 guessing again as to cause of the leak and reluctantly on their part at no cost. That repair also did not solve the leak. On 12/30/25, they came out to inspect the roof and told us it would be another $2,534 to repair the leak. Now, I certainly would not give them any additional money or hire them to repair anything as they continue to just guess and try to get more money. Their contracts cover them pretty well as to how they are written and there is not much recourse. They also absolve themselves of any interior damage or replacement costs. They aren't really interested in seeing the job completed and stopping the leak or providing customer satisfaction. I have already gotten one realtor to stop using them and will continue to get as many folks to avoid them as possible to save them the aggravation that we have incurred. No follow-up from inspector when I tried to explain to him that they never solved the issue after two tries and should fix it at no additional cost.

Last January after the Los Angeles storm, I was denied my claim for a roof repair by my home insurance company. To fix my roof I went through 3 different roofers to get a quote, that I felt was reliable so I can move forward. They all told me that I need to get the whole roof replaced because the shingles were completely worn down and I had no plywood holding up the shingles. Not one of them told me what Roof Doctors ended up telling me, that I need to get a new roof done because of wind damage. Roof Doctors sent their inspector "Hector" who explained the problem and what he could to fix it. 1. With a chalk in Hand Hector drew on my roof where all the wind damage spots had occurred and took photos. 2. Created a full report and sent it to my adjuster on my behalf. 3. Insurance adjuster replied my sending their own inspector and agreed with Hector's report. 4. My home insurance approved the new roof. 5. "Jamie" from roof doctors contacted me to give me the good news and we hit the ground running. 6. Roof was finished in 2 days they started and ended on time. It doesn't stop there!!! The insurance company denied my request to get insulation after the roof replacement. I went back to roof doctors(Hector) and he wrote a report as to why I need the insulation and sent it to my adjuster on my behalf. Two weeks later I was approved for new insulation. Roof Doctors were able to get the insurance to pay for the roof and insulation which came out to be $41,500. My fellow Yelp users who are having roof problems especially with the insurance company, give Roof Doctors a call first and I promise they will take it from there. Unfortunately, insurance companies do not respect their customers so you have to bring professionals to the table who know how to talk to insurance adjusters. Jamie said "will get it paid for" and I replied "yeah sure" I've never been so happy to be wrong. Good luck to you all who are having roof problems.

The Roof Doctors conspired with realtors to overstate the remaining lifespan of the roof in order to induce me into buying the house. They provided false information, claiming there were 10 years of life remaining on the roof. However, just one year later, I observed shingles peeling off. To add insult to injury...Upon inspecting the supposed repairs they had conducted, under a 2-year warranty for the previous owner, I noticed that they had arranged the tiles in an unprofessional manner.Furthermore, when I contacted them within the two-year warranty period to report issues with the roof, they provided a fraudulent assessment of the roof's condition, asserting that nothing was amiss. In reality, I require an entirely new roof. These individuals are reprehensible scammers, displaying a complete lack of ethics. I copied this of the BBB from Latasha. She could not of said it better. DO NOT USE ROOF DOCTORS. SCAMMMMMMM

Gaps at the top of the flashing had to be sealed. Flashing should be installed in the stucco not to the face with glue or sealant!

It's has been very unpleasant dealing with this company. Their CFO Craig doesn't seem to realize their work is incompetent but will sue you before even mailing a "courtesy" letter regardless after their faulty repair!!! ***Do not hire this company, they do NOT KNOW what they are doing.*** ** Substandard work** went from bad to worse when asked that they fix their faulty repair! Inferior techniques & materials! They don't even spell out the specific materials that they use- cap sheeting? Whose cap sheeting, they are not all equal. Look at the pictures they are a progression of bad- my patch repair then their horrible idea of a fix!! Ugh $3000 for

More broken tiles from drone after they left for the third time.

I think this company is funny on how they have to defend every bad review instead just accepting the responsibility on them dropping the ball. Even after they came back to fix there mess ups. I flew my drone and here are more broken tiles. Brian is right I bought the house. They were used for an inspection. It rain hard, I had a leak, I used there services which they came out and did there repairs but then missed 4-6 tiles that are broken and my valley that they didn't clean. I called back to tell them they can back again to fix. After they left that when I flew the drone and still more broken tiles. Oh and instead of replacing the tiles they patch with caulking. Should a consumer call them back for the third time. I don't think so. Just saying use at your own risk. They still can't do the job the first time or even the second time. Always people get a second or third bid on any contractor of what ever trade that works on your house. I made the mistake and didn't.

Zero follow up and zero photos provided to me after roof inspection and zero quote provided for repairs. Hard fail.

Shortly after completion, we experienced a significant leak near the chimney during a controlled water test. We repeatedly asked for photo/video documentation of the original water testing and requested a controlled retest after additional sealant was applied to the flashing and chimney areas. This was never provided. Because sealant was added after the initial test, it became impossible to determine how the flashing system performed in its original installed condition. Despite our requests for a documented and isolated testing process, the issue was attributed solely to stucco and chase cap conditions without verification of the flashing work included in our contract. Communication became increasingly dismissive when we asked reasonable, technical questions about how the leak source was isolated and verified, and the matter was pushed toward final inspection without the testing we requested. We also had concerns about billing transparency during dry rot repairs. We had to repeatedly request documentation showing where repairs were made, how many hours were spent on new work versus items already included in the original contract, and how labor time was calculated (including delivery and travel time billed at the same rate as on-site repair work). The initial invoices and explanations were vague, and only after multiple follow-ups did we receive partial clarification and a small credit for duplicated labor hours. While the company was responsive in replying to emails, we were left to identify gaps in documentation, testing, and billing ourselves rather than being provided clear, proactive transparency. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend that future customers insist on detailed documentation, clear labor breakdowns, and controlled verification testing when leak diagnosis or change-order billing is involved.

When I started getting bids on a new roof they were quick to respond and scheduled a technician to come out the next day for a roof inspection. Nick arrived on time and took the time to do a very thorough inspection. After that, a trip to their showroom where you can examine examples of available roofing materials was time well spent. During that visit Eric went over Nick's inspection report which included photos of areas of the roof that needed special attention. After discussing roofing materials, attic ventilation, and rain gutters Eric provided a range of reasonably priced estimates based on a few different options. Once work began, the project proceeded like clock work and was completed in a timely manner. All of the crew members and other Cal-Vintage employees I met were very friendly and seemed to enjoy what they were doing (signs of a well run company). I do ALOT of research before I do certain things, and even more so on this big of a project affecting our home. .. ok, ok, I do research pretty much anything and everything, food, entertainment, travel, etc... lol Anyways, so I did my research on "Davis Roofing", and met with 5 other roofing companies, so ya not only did i pick well rated roofing companies 4 and up, i called them, and got quotes from 5 companies. The first guy gave us a great $ Price $ quote, sadly he was not insured (um, huge red flag to me, anything to happen we would be at fault, or a grey area, and I dont need to deal with a grey area , someone getting hurt, and or lawsuits if it came to it. The other guys $ price $ ranged was close , just a few thousand dollars apart ish. But a few thousand is a few thousand, We are a budget family, only have one provider, my wife, I am on full Disability, so I try to help her with any thing I can, sometimes it hard due to my chronic pain, really takes it out of it, but she is Amazing.. ANYWAYS, back to this ROOF. lol "Davis Roofing", It came down to what ive researched , I narrowed it to 2 companies, "Davis Roofing" . I am very grateful that they took those massive boards/beams out, since they were really warp, so they replaced them, looks great like nothing happened or wasnt repaired. No charge , it was in our quote , so Im guessing they do that for all there customers, and part of there bussiness model , which is awsome and doesnt throw a wrench into the operation of the roof, and extra fees that is already expsive enough, lol... They really want to earn your business. And trust me they go the extra Mile for you. I could go on about there company and met with the owner, nice guy..
