Rooftop at The Envio -- AC Hotel Portsmouth If you're looking for the ultimate winter dining experience, the igloos here are pure magic. Warm vibes, twinkly lights, and seriously delicious food. The kind of night that feels straight out of a movie I'd rate the food a solid 9/10 across the board. Every dish came out beautifully plated and full of flavor: Perfectly cooked steak -- tender, juicy, and rich with flavor Crispy chicken cutlet topped with arugula + shaved cheese Salmon entrée with a sweet-savory glaze Mini sliders that were bite-size perfection Creamy clam chowder (hello New England comfort!) Decadent brownie dessert with melty caramel + toasted marshmallow And the cocktails? Festive, fun, and match the vibe of the igloo! Between the cozy igloo setting and the amazing food, this spot is such a winter gem in Portsmouth. Perfect for date night, girls' night, or anytime you want to feel extra

The setting is beautiful, and the sunset views were truly spectacular. The food was also excellent--especially the orange ginger glazed salmon, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The summer house salad (once corrected) was fresh and satisfying, and the Granite State mocktail was a refreshing, creative option. Unfortunately, there was a major miscommunication between the waitstaff and the kitchen. Despite clearly stating a chicken allergy, we were served the summer house salad with chicken instead of the salmon we ordered. This kind of error is not only frustrating but potentially dangerous. I also ordered the Hibi Margarita, which arrived with an egg white foam--something not listed in the ingredients. After informing the manager (due to a raw egg allergy), the replacement drink also came with the same foam. It showed a clear lack of attention to dietary restrictions and allergies. The food and views have so much promise, but the service and kitchen communication need serious improvement to make this a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

So much fun! Love the igloo experience. So magical sitting in this heated igloo watching the snow come down. Food and drink was spot on!

My friend and I went in for dinner on a Saturday evening after 6 and were seated right away. We made reservations which I strongly recommend doing. Upon initial entry the restaurant manager Deb was very kind and let us pick where we wanted our outdoor seating. The server took an awful long time to acknowledge our table and bring us the $9 still water that she couldn't seem to pour into the cups which is generally part of serving etiquette. Notable mention that every other server was pouring the water for their tables. She also forgot to provide our table with silverware and didn't seem to notice even after bringing the food to our table. She was having trouble keeping up with the pace of a Saturday evening, she would probably benefit from picking up a few more weekday shifts to work on her time management skills before handling the weekends. I ordered the Crispy parmesan crusted chicken which was delicious, could've done with a little less of the arugula salad they'd thrown on the top considering the garlic cream at the bottom provided plenty of flavorful notes and I felt the arugula overpowered that. My friend ordered the Orange-ginger glazed salmon which she described as perfectly cooked and an immediate favorite upon first bite. Overall I would give this place another try maybe on a slower day, the food was delicious and Deb was truly amazing. The outdoor seating had heaters running so we weren't too chilly after the sunset. The view was very beautiful to watch as we enjoyed our dinner.

Omg Eli and the bartender Nunzio are the best server/ bartender I have ever had. So friendly and knowledgeable. Eli is the most charismatic and friendly serve ever. If you come to envio you must ask for him! And Nunzio! Nunzio makes the best drink I've ever had. Every drink I had was possibly the best I have ever had, not to mention the amazing conversation from him and Eli! They both made our night so amazing and couldn't ask for better service from either of them! They curated the best vibe and ambiance for my besties bday

Amazing views, amazing rooftop bar, amazing service and amazing drinks. We didn't get any food so I can't comment on that but everything else was A+. Lots of seating with a large bar and a large outside too. I will be back!

The food, service, and ambience were amazing. You should be eating at this restaurant. Deb, our hostess, only runs top flight restaurants with amazing food and creative drinks. (Deb gives Great hugs !). We had the charcuterie plate, hummus, salmon, the pork, crab cakes, and the Parmesan and crusted chicken.... All were fresh and delicious takes. The rice cake with the salmon was tasty!! Delicious drinks. Check out the limoncello cocktail(sp??). Our waitress, Kylie, made us feel welcome with exceptional service.

A great selection of seafood apps, and a variety of meat options in the entree section (steak, chicken, lamb, short rib, duck) and a couple of vegetarian items. Something for everyone. It was a Tuesday night and pouring rain. We arrived without a reservation. It was very busy. The bar and restaurant were full. There were two side bar seats available which we happily took while we waited for a table. We had a delicious cosmo and a glass of prosecco while we waited. The server let us know our table was ready, and we did not need to settle our bar tab before going to the table. I love that! I find it inconvenient when restaurants ask people to do that. The server even took our sopping umbrellas and put them in the umbrella stand by the door for us. So nice! We tried 2 appetizers, the Caribbean Curry Mussels and the Seared Ahi Tuna. I can't decide which one I loved more. Both were fantastic. The broth the mussels were in was so flavorful, rich, salty, not spicy, coconut deliciousness. I wanted to eat it all like a soup. There was no bread served with the mussels to soak up the broth...which I would have loved, but not having it did save me some carbs. The seared tuna was absolute perfection. Very slightly seared and served with a well dressed seaweed salad and two sauces (coulis style ) a charred jalapeño aioli and a mango coulis. For dinner we shared the arugula salad with strawberries and goat cheese (although there was very little goat cheese) in a delicious poppy seed vinaigrette, and the miso Marinaded seared salmon with sticky rice and mango salsa. The salmon was fantastic...perfectly cooked, very flavorful, the sticky rice was so delicious and chewy, and the mango salsa added sweetness. I love that they split the salad into two dishes for us. I love when restaurants do this. It's a nice touch to acknowledge the server was listening the we intend to share, and to make it easier for us to do so. And we shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio. I will be back!

Do NOT order the charcuterie. $9 for a single slice of cheese (some varieties of which you could purchase at market basket) or for a single piece of prosciutto. Absolutely absurd. We found street parking close to the restaurant so that was great while paying close attention to the fact that street parking is not free in the area until 8 pm. Our table was situated on the first floor so the area was small but we had enough space between table to have a private conversation. I started out with salmon tartare and it was my least favorite of all. I found the pita to taste somewhat stale and I ended up not eating it. Salmon was good but I did not find that cream cheese added to the dish. It might be a matter of personal preference but I wished I started out with something else from the menu. My shrimp scampi was delicious and I would come back for this dish. Pasta and sauce were great and shrimp were a nice size. I then went with the beef stew. I found the pastry to be somewhat salty but it balanced with the stew that was slightly underseasoned. Maybe it was intended to be that way. It was a decent dish overall. I loved the strawberry panna cotta. Their rhubarb chutney was beautiful and the dish was a great way to end my meal. I would come back to this restaurant in the future to try out their regular menu.
