I waited less than 2 weeks to get her in. Her hair was very long and was becoming very matted from baths. I couldn't believe my eyes when I picked her up! It took 4 hours because of the work ahead. They have a system that just texts you when your dog is ready to be picked up. My dog looked absolutely gorgeous! The work that Jerrica did was top-notch. Phoebe looks like she's pageant ready! Haha! I highly recommend Dapper Dog. It was very affordable and they were clearly good with my dog because she didn't really want to leave when I picked her up! She loves it already which is so comforting. Kara is an experienced professional who has been in the pet grooming industry for over 14 years and has recently decided to begin at home pet grooming. How it works - Kara comes to your home with all her supplies and sets up shop right in the comfort of your own kitchen. She has all the professional accessories and gear which is quite impressive. She uses your kitchen sink to bathe your pet and then sets them on her grooming stand to dry them quickly (with her number of professional dryers). She then proceeds to cut your pets hair to the length and style you desire. What is so awesome about her service is you can sit and watch her work so you know your pet is safe. But what is even better is she talks with you the entire time and explains to you what she is doing and why. She is very informative and teaches you many things from information about your pets breed, flea application and overall pet/care information. She is very kind to the pet and they feel very comfortable having her handle them.

Every single time, he is given a bath, nails trimmed and given a hair cut PERFECTLY! Kara comes to do at home visits, which makes my life a million times easier, as I don't have to drag my cat down three flights of stairs and into a car, across the city. She simply grooms the cat in the kitchen sink, or whatever large basin/sink you have available. Figaro would rather see Kara 10 times than see the vet once, she is that gentle and loving with him. Kara listens to what each pet wants and makes sure they are comfortable at all times. Somestimes if Fig is a little grumpy, we do not get his belly or tail trimmed, which I appreciate not forcing him to do anything he does not want to partake in. She is a wonderful and amazing person, and I always look forward to our chats while Fig is getting groomed. She has a ton of professional equipment, and uses whatever works best for your pet (ex: The louder blower dryer actually worked better than the quieter one for my cat, but I am sure with others it would be the opposite situation). She is knowledgeable about animals/breeds/etc, and is more than willing to share any information and suggestions. I emphasized I was there mainly for the nail trim and told them in advance he does not like his feet touched but the dozens of groomers we've been to throughout the country (we've lived in 6 states in the past 5 years) have been able to trim his nails just fine. I even brought his muzzle for them to use. First, the groomer called me at 9am and asked if I could bring my dog in at 10:30am instead of my appointment time of 11:30am. I said sure. I dropped him off at 10:30am with the above instructions and they said to come back at 12pm. At 11:15am the groomer texted me saying she was almost done and asked if I could pick my dog up asap because I told her he's not good with other dogs and they don't seem to have the ability to separate dogs after grooming. So I dropped what I was doing and rushed back over. When I arrived, the groomer and owner told me they couldn't do his nails. Even with the muzzle they said he was dangerous and they couldn't do his nails. I was not happy but said ok, how much for just the bath then? They said the price would be $50. I said what?? I was quoted $40-45 for a bath and nail trim. The groomer rudely said, "We charge more for bad dogs. You have a bad dog." I said, I'm not paying more than you quoted me for services I didn't even receive. The groomer and owner started loudly telling me I needed to pay $50 because I have a very bad dog. Absolutely disgusting behavior on their part. I didn't even know where my dog was until I paid $53 for services not rendered. I would rate this groomer zero stars if I could. I have never experienced such nasty behavior from a shop owner. They don't love dogs, they don't know how to handle dogs, and they don't know how to be business owners. They could've avoided this terrible experience and review if they A) Didn't repeatedly call my dog a bad dog and B) Didn't charge me for services not rendered plus more than they quoted to begin with. I will be challenging this charge with my credit card company.
