    Cabin with bath

The 2 bedroom cabin with bath was perfect. Sorry for the messy room photos. No refrigerator but there is an ice machine. Room included sack breakfast in the morning and coffee in the lobby. Loved sitting in the rockers on the porch. Dinner was ok. Drinks from the bar were inexpensive and good. Exceeded my expectations for National Park lodging. Saw hundreds of bison just down the street in Lamar Valley.

Food was the best I found within Yellowstone National Park. We ordered blackened trout and barbecue ribs. Very delicious. The only regret was there were always an hour long wait. Sometimes can be 75 minutes. Overall experience was good.

This is the best way place to eat in Yellowstone hands down. After waiting about 20 minutes we were seated. If you are going for lunch ASK!! If there is any complimentary cornbread. It is amazing with the honey they provide. We ordered: Nachos - pretty standard nothing special Full rack of short ribs - these are a must! They were amazing Caesar salad - again standard. The ribs were seriously the best part of the meal, they slid right off the bone and were flavored perfectly!

The only and best place to eat out of all the Yellowstone dining places. The service was great. Please make reservations for dinner so you don't have to wait much. The applewood smoked barbecue ribs are a must. So well cooked and delicious. The sauce was added in precise standards which made the ribs yummy. The pasta with elk and bison bolognese was ok but can't ask for a better pasta in the woods. The Teddy's Sirloin is class n top notch. Got it done med rare and not to be missed. The bison burger was just ok nothin much to say. The only disappointment was the mesquite smoked chicken. The chicken was not so good and lacked the flavor. All the accompaniments are good mainly the apple cabbage slaw, mashed potato and whipped cauliflower. The banana coconut cream tartlet is unique and a must.

The dining room - rather small but that staff really moved and were spot on!

The location is just amazing and the lodge is very quaint! Our server was spot on (Braeden from Pittsburgh) and had great recommendations! I got the bison tomales - a little dry(I know bison is more lean so this could've been why!) but still very tasty! And both my parents got the Wyoming cheeseSteak sandwich - both loved it! My dad said it was the best lodge sandwich he's ever had! I recommend eating here while in Yellowstone!

This was my burger so delicious

We had lunch here. It requires reservation so we had to wait for a while. Staff are friendly and food is ok. I had chicken breast and salad, just ordinary. My boyfriend had rib and beef, looks nice.

Great history, cozy location, good food with confused service due to early arrival in the season. Looking out the front window gives you elk and deer. Would love to go back.

We walked in here with not the highest of hopes but hungry bellies, and were extremely pleasantly surprised. The staff were warm and welcoming, and made us instantly feel at home. And the suggestion of the roasted red pepper soup was on point. That soup is probably the best thing I've eaten so far in the state of Montana. The burgers were good and juicy and I'm kind of sad that we didn't get the fries because the next table over had them and they looked delicious. The iced tea tasted fresh brewed and this would be a foolish spot to miss if you're in the area headed into or out of Yellowstone the prices were reasonable and it looks like they do live music and I would be excited to come back and eat again. Wheelchair accessibility: this is a historic building and would be within its rights not to be wheelchair accessible. But that is not the case! There is a zero rise door entry; you do have to get through the saloon doors and then there's a traditional door behind that so you might need a hand but coming out you look like an old western bandit ready for a high noon shootout. There's plenty of seating options and lots of space to maneuver. The bathroom door was light and the bathrooms are spacious with plenty of room to turn around, and grab bars.

Knew we weren't going to find a lot of food options in Yellowstone, so chose to stop at the Beartooth Café before entering. Cooke city is a cute little town that was hopping at the end of August. We did have to wait 10 or 15 minutes for a table, but there is a cute souvenir shop right next-door that kept us busy while we were waiting. The restaurant staff is super friendly and helpful, and the food really hit the spot. We were grateful for the chance to get something good to eat and use the restroom before heading into the park. They also have a gas station so we could fill up and not have to worry about that either. If this is the route you were taking on your visit to Yellowstone, I would definitely recommend a stop here!

Food was a simple and yummy find across from our motel. My burger was charred just right, the bun wad very dry; the side salad was deliciously crisp. My hubby enjoyed a juicy steak with mashed taters and veggies. This is a must stop when passing through this quaint town. Tip-be aware, no cell service anywhere in this town and WiFi is hard to find. This was a shock to us, never heard of such a thing!!!

They do have a few parking spots there. The stairs from the parking lot leads to their entrance. Fairly large restaurant. You can just take any table available. The menus are at the bar, once you finalize your options, order is taken at the counter. We stopped here for lunch. It was a late launch and this place was deserted, hardly couple of table were occupied. Menu is typical pub options. There's a Bison Cheeseburger on the menu - it's a half pound bison patty on that burger served with fries on the side. Also ordered garden salad with grilled chicken and the buffalo chicken sandwich. Service was great, the staffs were very friendly. They served the food very quickly as well. The bison cheeseburger was really impressive. The sandwich and the salad were good too. It's a $$ place. Super casual counter service, with usual pub faves as well as some local flavors. We went with the: - hog wings - small but meaty, fried halfway to chicharrones with a Korean sweet sauce on the side, kinda salty even plain on its own - bison cheeseburger - solid burger, excellent and generous fries - brisket sandwich - generous portion of meat, kinda dry so I asked for more huckleberry bbq sauce on the side otherwise not very flavorful. Cole slaw was meh but I don't like Cole slaw (they wouldn't swap for anything else). Again excellent fries! Chased all this meaty salty heavy food with a local brew. Think $75 before tax/tip was pretty normal tourist prices - we were stuffed and didn't finish all the fries and buns.

Decided to stop in on a whim as we were not feeling all the touristy dinner spots in West Yellowstone. It was a weekday and we arrived an hour before closing without a reservation... it was packed, but a few tables looked open. However, they told us they weren't sure if we'd get a table since there were other parties waiting. We decided to take a flier and wait anyway since it was late. 20 minutes later, we were seated. Our server was very chipper and friendly, gave recommendations, and was proactive about letting us know what they'd run out of. (In my opinion, a place that runs out of some ingredients is a signal that they serve things fresh or not at all, a green flag.) My partner and I each got a variety of the chicken sandwich, while our friends shared the steak. Portions were large, chicken and steak was cooked appropriately, and the fries were some of the best any of us have ever had. All in all, we were glad we decided to forego the tourist traps closer to the park entrance. Anglers Riverfront was wonderful. We were even lucky enough to glimpse the sunset across the river while we ate, and we left happy with full bellies just before they closed up for the night. Would definitely stop by again next time we find ourselves in Island Park. Thanks so much for the hospitality, Anglers team.

They have outdoor dining where dogs are allowed as well as indoor dining with a bar. As of May 2026 when we went, the menu online was not the menu we received when we dined in, so I attached a photo but keep in mind it can change. The service here was great, it was out waitress Brooke's first night and she was wonderful. The manager and staff overall were fantastic and the food came out at a good pace, not too long or short a wait. For starters we ordered the grilled peach burrata salad, elk and bison chili, crispy brussel sprouts and chicken wings with huckleberry bbq sauce. Each of these were very tasty and we would eat them all again. I would argue the appetizers were better than the entrees. The wings were slightly under par compared to the other dishes, but that is just because they needed more huckleberry flavor (very light). For entrees we ordered the pan seared trout and the grilled ribeye. Both were massive portions, the trout came with wild rice and asparagus, the steak came with goat cheese mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The trout was served as two big filets (found a few small bones, but no big deal) and was cooked well, but one filet needed more seasoning and was a little fishy tasting. The rice was a bit boring and dry, but the asparagus were superb. The ribeye was cooked nicely and tasted even better with the chipotle lime butter it came with. The mashed potatoes were great and did taste of goat cheese and the brussel sprouts were delicious, very similar to the appetizer preparation. Similar to the trout, the portion of steak was large, but a good portion of it was gristle and fat (about 30-40%). Overall a nice meal with huge serving sizes. Had we known how big the entrees would be, we may have shared one or ordered less appetizers. Great service with a pleasant ambiance.
