Brand new and shiny. Food is fresh and simple. Beer is cold. I like it, pricier than I expected, BUT lots of love. And the photography art work is sharp.

Chicken tenders and fries. Moist and delicious.

Quality food and friendly service. Also nice interior. There could be a few more options on the menu though.

Nice entree selection, nicely appointed, good vibe, best place we've found for dinner in town on our 5 day stay.

Good food and service. Best place we ate, when we ate out. We didn't have a long wait to be seated.

Think bean nachos but with fries instead of tortilla chips. The kids liked the chicken strips and fries quite a lot. I loved the bison burger, and was glad I ordered it cowboy style with bacon and grilled onions. The hunters pie (like a shepherds pie but with green beans, mashed potatoes, pulled pork, bacon and cheddar cheese) was also really good. Very cute cowboy decor and nice classic country music playing. It was fun.

Our second visit here was Monday evening and the food, service and overall experience was not very good. On Thursday we were given a children's menu, on Monday none was offered. We asked for the BBQ chicken sandwich for my 1 year old, but asked for just the chicken, no bun and the sauce to be on the side. Was served exactly as we asked. On Monday it was served just as it is on the menu, we had to send it back as my baby won't eat any sauce on chicken. Which is why we wanted it on the side so we can continue to try to introduce sauce to him but also get him to eat some plain chicken. On Thursday I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. It was great. On Monday I had the quesadilla with barbicoa beef. The meat was excellent, but the bottom side of my quesadilla was soggy, not crispy at all and wet when it was served to me. On Thursday my husband had the Dizzy buffalo burger with the cheese curds, he liked it. On Monday he had the Westerner sandwich, he said it wasn't great. He ended up only having a couple of bites. I'm not sure what the difference was, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that hopefully they were just having an off night. Round out the two visits at 3 stars. I'd give them another shot if we visit again since one time was a really great experience.

Adults in the family hot half roasted chicken and the elk chili. Chicken was excellent - crispy skin, well seasoned, cooked perfectly. The elk chili was tasty, no complaints. Onion rings were hot and fresh, and a half dozen local beers were on tap. Overall the menu is a bit small but decent. The bar area has TVs but is separated from the dining room and no kids are allowed in due to the fact it's a casino in there. Staff was friendly if a little scattered. I'd come back.

There is a variety of artwork, from fun posters to beautiful nature photos along the walls. For the dinner service, we also appreciated the candlelight feel with instrumental pop music in the background. We stayed primarily in the dining area but also noticed that the restaurant appears to have a bar and maybe casino in the backroom? A huge plus is a souvenir shop featuring tons of Huckleberry products next door. Now on to the food! We were very impressed. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and I ordered the bison burger. The servers were all so friendly and kind and super helpful, recommending the bison to be cooked medium. The food portions were generous, the fries were crispy, and the bison burger was juicy with the right amount of tomato, lettuce, pickles, and melted Swiss cheese to make the flavors pop. Could you tell how much we loved the food? To top it all off, we ordered dessert and had the most delicious Huckleberry cobbler with Huckleberry ice cream. I asked the waitress if that was too much Huckleberry, and she said the ice cream was a hit -- it really made the dessert. Oddly, it was reminiscent of breakfast, but in the best way. The cobbler was warm, the Granola was crunchy, and the ice cream was cool and sweet. The medley of textures honestly made this the best dessert I've had this year. Hats off to the Yellowstone Mine staff and chefs for making the start of our trip so memorable!

My husband wanted a biscuit breakfast sandwich with sausage - they were out of biscuits. So I got him a bagel breakfast sandwich with sausage instead. I ordered sausage links for my baby, I asked if they had any kind of fruit I could buy for my baby. They said no that they only had bananas for smoothies - which is odd being a place that sells fruit smoothies... For myself I ordered a croissant sausage breakfast sandwich and a mango madness smoothie). My mother in law wanted a lotus energy drink - but they were out of lotus syrup. A few minutes later the gal that rang us up came to our table and let us know they were out of sausage for breakfast sandwiches. Asked what we wanted instead. They still has sausage links, so that's what we had on our sandwiches. When our food was ready they brought everything over except the sausage for my baby - which they clearly forgot to make cause that was a long wait till it arrived (5 or more minutes). Putting food in front of a hungry baby and none of it is for him is not a good idea lol. My husband ended up giving him his sausage and wait to eat his sandwich till they brought more over. I also gave my baby some of my smoothie - the smoothie was good. So, out of several items, and forgot part of our order.... Just seemed a bit chaotic. Food and smoothie was good and the people who work there are nice.

On both days we were seated pretty much right away and ordered some drinks. Over the two days, we tried the onion rings, the house salad with grilled chicken, the tuna salad platter, the bison filet mignon, the trout and the chocolate lava cake. The onion rings were great. Very crispy and juicy inside, and some good bites together with the slightly spicy aioli. The house salad was only ok, not a lot of greens, a bit dry, but the chicken was cooked nicely. Tuna salad platter was good, together with the crisps was nice and refreshing. The filet mignon was amazing. Cooked perfectly and a really nice cut. Fries were ok, beans a bit dry. The trout was also great. Nice breading and great light combination with the veggies. The lava cake was over baked and a bit disappointing as there was no molten core. We still had two great evenings here. The staff is very welcoming and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food.

We stayed here for one night and so we had dinner the first day and breakfast in the morning. Both meals were good. For dinner, we ordered the half chicken with chimichuri sauce and the fried Idaho trout fillet. I don't think the chimichuri was authentic but the chicken was well cooked and seasoned. The trout was fresh but very oily, so much that oil oozed out of it while trying to cut it. The sides were good though. For breakfast, we got the avocado toast with eggs and goat cheese and the smoked trout bagel. Huge portions and delicious flavors. Also good coffee! Yes, it is over priced ($15+ for a breakfast dish) but at least the food was good. The service was friendly and the ambiance was pleasant. We appreciated having this option close by.
