I've eaten here for years and it's always been hit or miss. Tonight was definitely a miss.We had ridiculously poor customer service. One in our party had ordered a chicken wrap which was too spicy hot to eat. He had even asked the server about its degree of heat. After 2 bites, he was perspiring and asked for a substitute meal or for it to be taken off our check. We had to ask to speak with a manager who was insistent that there was nothing she could do about it. My friend then asked to speak to the owner and was told that wasn't possible either. The manager left and we never saw her again. A woman at the table next to us had spoken up and said she had never seen such horrible treatment by a manager! By the way...there were 7 in our party, so we were going to be spending a good bit there anyway. Finally the server returned with the check with my friend's meal removed, and when my friend tried to say something, she nearly yelled "Just pay and leave!" Indeed we left and will never return! The food for what you get is great tasting except the staff service is questionable. Never had a problem every visit until recent. This is not fancy foods but everything we've eaten there, fish, steaks, burgers, chicken wings, BBQ sandwiches (and especially the carrot cake!) have been flavorful in taste and large in portions. Our go-to place at least once a week. Usually have takeout which is ready promptly. Lots of locals eat there and it's easy to see-and taste=why! read more

Food is not bad but service has been very slow the past 3 times and not during busy hours. I'm not sure if they are understaffed or what the situation is. Had to ask for silverware, drink refills. Kitchen takes forever to bring out food. A few other thoughts: salads need to be better, lettuce slice of tomato and that is it? What about cheese, croutons, non iceberg lettuce? Coleslaw needs more seasoning as it is bland. Burger slightly overcooked. I think we will not be returning unless we do take out. 9.1.19- update- wings not juicy-Still horrible service here. I've probably eaten here 10 times. This is a good restaurant if you're looking for wings, burgers and/or sandwiches. Entrees are all pretty much around $10 or less. The fries are awesome. Is it a bar that serves wings or is it a wing joint that sells beer? They've got icy cold beer and they've got very good wings. Patio is large and accommodating with televisions. Always all you can eat spaghetti is good with a heavy meat gravy. The wings zing. The cone in mild, medium, hot, Cajun and nuclear. They are small but meaty and are delicious. Joint is divided so that restaurant is children friendly. Service is unfailingly satisfactory. Prices are reasonable. Baskets of fries are crowd pleasers. They have mansized hotdogs and really good Brunswick stew. This is fun little place with extensive menu. Lots if televisions always tined to sports. I have eaten here now for a year, off and on, and I feel this restaurant is a hit on some days and a miss on others. If I had written this review a year ago and with a single experience, I would have given it all 5 stars, however, I believe it takes time to evaluate. The chicken wings are spotty at best - even since you won best wings choice in 2017 (?) - you might get some good ones but mostly they are small and almost like jerky (over cooked) for the last 2 times I ordered them;. The sauce rivals 3 Dollar Cafe, no doubt about it, and it's very good. I am not sure about the lunch crew - they are mostly made up of young people who don't really smile and aren't very nice LATELY! ( your tips depend on a good attitude for me). I have gotten cold fries for the last 2 times (you made it right). FYI if you won't eat it, your guests probably won't either. If your college kids (or wait staff) aren't nice and do not have a good attitude your guests won't either. In the past I have enjoyed Rooster's Café, their food has always been good. However, on this visit to Roosters 7/8/2013 7:00 pm. We ordered an appetizer with our meal and a salad. The salad come out first, promptly followed by the appetizer. No more the 3 minutes later our main dish was delivered to the table. Nothing upsets me more than having my steak sit there getting cold because the server is not doing her job properly communicating to the cook. To add to this, the Nacho were nasty. The chili on these was clearly cheap can chili and hardly any cheese. What is nachos with out cheese? Anyway, the nachos were not good. The salad had a few brown pieces of lettuce. I was not impressed. The main dish - steak + baked potato was OK potato was slightly brownish black you could tell it had been sitting for a while - not fresh at all. For $40 plus tip I expected a little better food. Main reason for 2 star rating is their timing of the delivery of appetizer, salad, main dish. Or maybe they were rushing us out the door either way it will be a long time before I go back. read more

We eat here all the time because it's so close to where we live. They are so good but there's some pro and cons and food that is amazing and food that isn't good at all. It all depends on what you order. Other then that there so good. Just don't get the salad or corn on the Cobb. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The women who helped us was just rude. She tossed our wings in mild when we ordered hot, and when we requested them be corrected she tossed them in the hottest sauce that they have instead of just hot. When we asked her to correct it we were told that she put standard hot even though we know it was not. We have had their hot wings on multiple occasions. Instead of fixing them we had to resort to rinsing off their sauce and air frying them ourselves. we ordered almost $100 worth of wings. We will not be going back. read more

I love Roosters for everything except what their name "Roosters" would make you think is the best thing on the menu - their chicken. The chicken wings have barely any meat on them, and they are extremely tiny for the price. Their appetizers, especially the fried pickles are super good. And their burgers are very yummy. The Swiss mushroom hamburger is my favorite. I would not recommend the wings though until they get some better quality wings in the kitchen. This place is also very busy with long wait times on the weekend so arrive early. 3/5 for the tiny wings. read more

Moved to around this area a while back so started to go here. Probably been 4-5 times in the past 3 months. Its convenient at the end of 400, the staff and service has always been excellent. The food, the burgers especially, are very good and I would put the place above average for the area. They serve liquor (but not on Sundays) which is normal for a lot of areas up past Dawsonville, certainly if you are going up into White county get a drink here before you come up. (unless you are going to Helen) We have no reason not to recommend Roosters for good food and service so far. read more

Good food, but the wings are a little smaller than I would have liked. The flats aren't very juicy and are short. The flavors are delicious but the size is lackluster. I have been hearing about this location of Rooster's for over a year and finally got in there. I am a wing fanatic and Rooster's are known for their wings. They have 6 flavors. I got 25 of the medium. They were really good. Crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. This is the way to get your wings cooked! The wings were somewhat smaller than other places but the flavor and price($17.99 for 25) made up for it. I also noticed a few good reviews on their burgers, so the J/J Burger Tour may have to stop in. read more

Went with a group of friends after wine tasting and was dissapointed. We were a group, but service was exceptionally slow. Prices are cheap, but I noticed a few issues. First, we ordered a few baskets of fried pickles, and when they were brought to our table, our server spilled half of them off of the plate. She told us we would get more- but she never came back with them... Secondly, when our food did arrive, the fries looked awful (They were brown and soggy). Finally, when we asked for more water, we got eye rolls from the server.... I can say the best thing they did was split our checks, so it made the process more smooth. I like Rooster's Cafe. I've been to the original in Cumming, and I actually prefer this location. It's a comfortable place to sit and eat and chat for a while. I love thier bacon cheeseburger and fries when I'm feeling a little naughty. The burger is on the small side, but that's perfect for me, and thier fries are of the semi-crispy/soggy type that I love. I don't eat them very often, but I love them. Yesterday I was good and just had soup and salad. Nothing fancy, but we always enjoy it there, and we also like the servers. read more

Can not believe how awesome our lunch was here. We had a chicken wrap, flounder sandwich, and fried mushrooms. Loved the mushrooms and the horseradish sauce. The French fries are to die for here!
