Definitely a place where the locals go. The food is simple, and it comes out quick. We had burgers, hot dogs and a grilled cheese sandwich at our table. Nothing special about it that makes me want to go back anytime soon, but the service was good. The ice cream parlor side was closed - not sure what was going on with that. Dipper Dan is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with no-frills, but the food is both good and cheap. I ordered a cheeseburger (added lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes for $0.35 each) and fries. Both were pretty decent and definitely worth the only $5 and some change price. The staff were pretty busy getting everyone through, but were friendly and got the orders out at a good speed. If you're looking for a local and down-to-earth place and want a good value, I definitely recomend giving it a try. read more

I have been coming here for over 35 year. The sweet tea has been voted best in town for years. Be warned if you order your burger all the way It comes with ketchup, mustard, onions and SLAW. Oh did I mention they are CHEAP and good. If you haven't been here before you my find It a little awkward but just walk right up to the counter and order your burger and fry's and sweet tea. Then they will give you your tea and a number and sit down and wait for them to call your number and get your food. In one sentence this place is cheap, good and consistent. read more

Awesome burgers, classic crinkle fries, hometown atmosphere. Burger was larger than expected (especially for the price). The only downside is they up charge for everything - lettuce, tomato, pickle, refills etc. It's only really a downside if you're expecting a burger for the low price on the menu. It's still a great value for obviously fresh, hand patted burgers, perfectly toasted buns, crispy fries. We will definitely be back next time we're down this way!! read more
