I'm going to be honest. I'm very particular when it comes to Thai food. If it's too Americanized,…read moreit's usually not for me. We decided to stop here because we wanted something quick and Asian, and I came in with pretty low expectations. I was just looking for a decent meal. Well... if you couldn't tell from my 5 star review, it completely exceeded my expectations.I ordered the Hat Yai Chicken, and my girlfriend ordered the Popcorn Chicken. Hat Yai Chicken: I grew up in Bangkok and spent my childhood eating all kinds of fried chicken at every hour of the day. This dish brought back a lot of memories. The chicken was well marinated and delicious both with and without the dipping sauce. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a balanced ginger and garlic flavor that wasn't overly greasy. The best part, though, was the fried shallots. People don't realize how much they tie the whole dish together. I don't need to fly all the way to Hat Yai to enjoy great Hat Yai fried chicken anymore. Popcorn Chicken: If you've ever had KFC Thailand's Gai Zap, you've had something very similar to this. I honestly have no complaints. It was flavorful, tangy, spicy, and incredibly aromatic. If I had to describe it another way, I would say it's popcorn chicken seasoned with larb spices. The biggest surprise was the ranch. I've never had ranch like this before. It had a subtle hint of lemongrass, and somehow it worked incredibly well with the chicken. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes

I was the only person waiting, and someone quietly mumbled my order number. I looked up because I thought I might have heard it, then he called it again with no smile or thank you. It just felt awkward and unwelcoming. The wings were super oily and not crispy at all. Oil spilled all over me when I took them out of the bag because there was so much excess oil. There was barely any seasoning, and I honestly could have made better wings at home in the air fryer. The chicken itself was just okay, but there were a lot of tiny chopped-up crumb pieces instead of actual chicken pieces. My soup container was less than half full, even though I did not spill anything. The vegetables tasted like generic frozen broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, and they were so salty that I could not even eat them. Not worth it. I will not be returning.

Food: The menu offers various bowls, salads, plates, and sides. I decided to order the Pacific bowl with salmon and extra miso mayo. I thought that it tasted very good. The portion of salmon is big, which is nice. However, the amount of rice was not a lot which was dissapointing. Also, the iced black tea tasted okay. Service: The food came out quickly and the employee that helped us at the end was friendly. Ambiance: The decor inside was just okay. It resembled a cafeteria.

The cashier then spoke with the food preparer, and that's when they realized they hadn't even started our order. We didn't receive our food until 11:42 AM. What made this experience especially frustrating was the complete lack of communication. If there were two large orders ahead of us, that should have been clearly communicated at the time of ordering so we could decide whether to stay or not. The manager did not approach us until I went to her directly to express our disappointment. Even then, the response felt more like an excuse than an apology. There was no accountability, no effort to make things right, and no indication that they would handle situations like this differently in the future. This was a really disappointing experience from a restaurant we've enjoyed in the past. A simple acknowledgment and proactive communication would have gone a long way. .

Service is wonderful. This review is for a catering order…read more We ordered 20 butter chicken burritos (and they offered to turn the order into 40 mini burritos. Perfect!). The burritos individually wrapped and were the right size for the parents, though even at mild, the butter chicken was a little spicy to me. I asked about allergens, and the lady let me know that they were going nut free in a week and everything would no longer have nuts. The butter chicken does contain dairy in the form of queso. We also ordered a tray of the corn bhel (this was AMAZING) and mixed salad (in hindsight, probably not the best order for a bunch of four and five year olds). Both are dairy-free and nut-free. The food was delivered promptly to the venue exactly on time. I paid for the order via Zelle when I placed the order.

What did I just eat?…read more I'm genuinely confused after eating at Maast Indian in Irvine, because I don't know how something can look so promising on the outside and taste so disappointing on the inside. I was skeptical walking in, not gonna lie. The place wasn't exactly packed -- maybe three tables had people and there was one person waiting on an order -- but I figured hey, every new spot deserves a fair shot. The interior actually looks really nice. Clean, modern, good layout, good lighting... it feels like a place that should be delivering quality food. Then I ordered the Tandoori Chicken "Panini Sandwich". First of all... $15 for a sandwich like that is wild. And if you're going to charge $15, the food better be memorable in a good way. This was memorable in the worst way. The flavor was just off. The chicken didn't taste like tandoori should. It didn't have that smoky, spiced kick you expect -- it tasted bland and kind of weird, like the seasoning didn't know what it wanted to be. The whole sandwich felt thrown together, and the "panini" part didn't add anything except disappointment. And what really got me was the value. No fries. No chips. Nothing on the side. Just a sandwich. For $15. During lunch hours. That's crazy. For that same price, I can go to Curry Hut, Curry Time, or other grab-and-go Indian spots and get a full combo plate that actually fills you up and tastes like Indian food is supposed to taste. This wasn't even in the same league. This wasn't a "maybe I ordered the wrong thing" situation. This was a "how did this make it onto the menu" situation. I hate leaving negative reviews because I understand how hard it is to run a small business, and I'm not here to tear anyone down. But the food needs a serious reality check. The presentation and the space are great -- but the kitchen needs to match that same standard. If the owner sees this, I'd honestly love to talk. Feel free to reach out. And for anyone reading this: you know I don't throw out 1-star reviews like that. The only reason this isn't a 1 is because I genuinely don't want to hurt a small business. But this experience was not good.

One of the best breads I've ever had, and one of the best foods in general... I keep planning my next visit, even just to get cornbread. Staff is so friendly and helpful. This is a fast casual place: you order at the counter and sit with a number; they'll bring you your food. During your visit, they take a walk around (inside and outside), and ask if you need anything. (Keep in mind, waiting to order might be 10-15 mins, even if the line only goes to the door.) I would suggest that if they run out of an item that they cover it or some sort on the giant black menu that they have on the wall. This way, customers have time to change their order instead of at the cashier, thus holding up the line. (I went like 5-6pm on a Saturday and they ran out of Etouffée. I felt bad taking up a hot moment to come up with a second choice.) Their food is incredible - just spectacular. You really can't go wrong with whatever you order. I plan on going back (to get more cornbread!!) and try more items on the menu. I will note (and maybe this is because I haven't eaten collard greens so I'm not sure what it should taste like) that the collard greens started of perfect but then the last 1/3, it was progressively more bitter. Otherwise, mouthwatering food.
