After having a very painful experience having a root canal years ago I was terrified when my dentist referred me to see Dr. Pak. I am so happy to say that I experienced no pain! The receptionist was friendly, Gabby, the assistant was kind and professional and made sure I was as comfortable as could be. Not only are the charges ridiculous. The dentist didn't spend more than 2 mins seeing me. Quality of care is horrible. So, after reconsideration, this reviews warrants a 1 star. Thank you. My dentist referred me to Root Vision Endo for a root canal. The receptionist said my insurance only paid $70 for my consultation. So, I ended up paying $50 out of pocket (That's with pretty good dental PPO) $120 for a 2 min consult is pretty steep. They took a quick xray & the Dr. Came in to tell me that I would have to cordinate with my reg dentist after the root canal. I would be leaving his office with no temp tooth & would have to go straight to my reg dentist right after to get a temp. Wtf... really?? Anyhow, my Xray took 2 mins , 1 min of waiting for the Dr. to come in, 2 min speaking to him. I was in & out of the room in 5 mins. Minus the 15-20min wait time for them to call me in. I found a new endo that spent 1hr explaining my options on how my tooth can be saved or not... etc.... oh.... no out of pocket expenses either. $70 deducted from my yearly dental limit & $50 out of pocket for a 2 min consult VS. 1hr dental consult with $0 out of pocket expense. Just had my root canal done by Dr. Pak and he did an outstanding job. He is very professional and thorough not to mention that he possesses a degree from prestigious, Columbia University. His office staff and assistants are friendly and kind. I did not feel nervous today, I felt I was in very capable hands. My procedure on tooth #30 took 1 hour and 30 minutes max. There was no pain just mild discomfort as expected from having tools in your mouth. I would highly recommend this office. read more

I made a appointment for an exam and xray or $100, which is fine since they apply it towards the treatment. Everything seems fine. The receptionist was nice and seem caring. The more I thought, they didn't ask anything about a crown. I'm assuming they aren't going to put my old one back right? What about a new one? Hmmm... he was really quick with the exam and consultation , almost rushed. Since they doesn't have an opening for this location, I made it for the Montebello location. If you're going to pay full price, you might as well get it done as soon as you can right? The nice receptionist said they would work on one next week Wednesday. I was referred to RootVision Endo by my dentist. When I called, I received an appointment the very same day. The staff was wearing masks, the lobby seating was adjusted to insure proper distancing. When I arrived, their was only one other patient in the lobby at the sign in station. The staff was so safety conscious that they brought the paperwork and everything I needed directly to me at my seat in the lobby to minimize contact between me and the other patient. The ladies up front were great. THE BEST PART OF THE VISIT WAS DR. JOHN LEE and his assistant. I'm ashamed I didn't get everyone's name. I was a bit anxious and a little cranky due to circumstances not related to them but the dental assistant and Dr. Lee were very patient and understanding. Wow this is what I call great customer service 360. The girls at the front are awesome! They provided me with an outstanding customer service and they are extremely friendly. The Dr. Was amazing!! I am a chicken for neeedles and I had a very hard time digesting that I needed a few shots (yikes). BUT the Dr. Was very patient and made me feel at ease with the shots and the entire procedure. I felt like he really cared about me. And that is rare in dentist. The office was great!!! Very clean, and with the latest technology. I love this office all around. 02/20/2018 This is an update to my review. Which drops my stars to two. So I had my appointment for 9am and the DDS Pak got here at about 9:50am. He was still kind and professional and my two star rating has nothing to do with him being late. Life happens and I'm sure we have all been in that situation at some point. My two stars are do to the lack of communication by the staff. When the DDS called the office to notify them that he was running late at was at the desk waiting for my receipt. I overheard the receptionist telling the tech that he was running late. By this time my daughter is already in the chair waiting for treatment. Never did they bother letting us know he was late. When I asked the tech (same awkward one from last visit) if he was in yet she then said "oh yeah he's running late". So I asked if she knew about what time he'd be arriving she said she would check but never came back. Kept walking up and down the hall but couldn't even bother telling me that they weren't sure about what time he'd be getting here. Once Dr.Pak walked into the cubicle then she said "he's here". Made no sense, I was looking at him! There is such great lack of communication at this location by the staff. 02/16/2018 The location looks nice and clean. The receptionist at the entrance is also nice and friendly. The DDS, Pak is also very nice. Seems patient. Doesn't say too much. His assistant seemed awkward. She would walk into the room stare and then once she was in front of my daughter holding what she was going to use she'd say I have to do it. Every single time she made it feel awkward when she walked in. Never did she introduce herself and say what she needed to do beforand was not even wearing a name badge. Not proud to say I have had a few root canals done but least painful one was done here. Doc was cool about checking the tooth before he just started hacking away. Once we were clear pain free through it all. Pretty quick to. One down side to it all but not worth demoting it to a four star is had to wait in the lobby for a bit even though I got here in time. read more

Extremely happy and satisfied with my visit today. It was my first time to this office. I came for what I thought was a second opinion and consultation for oral surgery. Turns out all I needed was a root canal and I was able to do it the same day! Dr. Lee is very pleasant and knowledgable; the root canal procedure was painless and he was very acccomodating. I have nearly no swelling or pain. I trusted his advice as he assured me the less invasive root canal vs oral surgery was the best option for me but also informed me of the other possibilities and outcomes of my decision. I love how through dr pak is an amazing dentist ! I been waiting to have this root canal done for quite some time. I had lots of concerns since the tooth I was getting root canal on has a veneer . Veneer can crack but no he was gentle,quick,throughout and everything turned out ok. He also assured me he remove all the gutta percha so there is less chance of discoloration. I just felt completely confident and peaceful in his hands. The office got me treated for root canal same day as my initial x ray exam appointment! The only reason I give them 4stars is because I have to go back to a general dentist for the restoration process of the filling and put my veneer in the hands of another dentist ! I think it's silly how they don't just have you come back next day and restore it here. read more

Walked in has a referral from my dentist, consulted with Dr. Pak and scheduled for root canal later that afternoon. He administered shots to numb mouth to give me comfort from pain. Arrived for my root canal, Vickie was assistant to Dr. Pak.... procedure took an hour, I was happy with my visit and would recommend for any requiring a root canal. I was made comfortable and advised during procedure what was being done. Xrays went well even though I was in pain at first, technician waited until I was ready to proceed. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE DENTIST! But this place was a breath of fresh air! From the X-rays to the actual procedure I was in the best care and was completely comfortable! The doctor was great and performed a root canal I had no pain after an none during! Clean no mess and was done in and hour and a half! I was apprehensive in having a root canal done, but the staff at RootVision Endo proved to me that my worry was for naught. Nadia at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Dr. Pak and the Dental Assistant (didn't get her name) were professional and did a great job. I experienced no pain whatsoever, not even when Dr. Pak administered the Novacaine. My jaw was just a bit sore, after having my mouth open for an hour and fifteen minutes. I had to slowly close my jaw and slowly move it around after they were finished. If I should ever need another root canal, I would definitely come back and I would also recommend them to my family and friends too. read more
