Horrible business practices. I was referred here by my family dentist for a potential root canal, but their business made my family dentist lose my business as well. I originally called for an appointment and quote. They gave me approximately $700 after insurance. Went the next day since I had horrible tooth pain and was seen promptly at my appointment time. We did X-rays even though my family dentist already sent theirs over(which is fine because maybe they want inspect further.) They said I needed a root canal and told me to wait outside for a quote. That's when the service started going downhill. I was quoted over $1000 after insurance, they were going to charge my insurance plus me paying $1000 cash. I felt like the price was unreasonable since I did a estimate on my insurances website so I said I'll have to think about it. Immediately on the spot they offered a 25% discount, good for today only. After that happened I knew that they were doing shady practices and declined. They further said what price I will be fine with doing the procedure today and they will ask the doctor to see if he will be okay with. I declined since I thought the whole process is bad practice. I then asked for my x-rays so I can show another clinic, they said they would e-mail it but I never got it. Lol. At the end, they asked me for payment for my deductible - all while charging 3% extra because I chose to pay with credit card. lol. read more

This office exceeded my expectations! The front desk staff were very friendly and made check-in quick and easy. The assistants in the back were just as great--they made me feel at ease right away and were very thorough when explaining everything to me. Dr. Kimberly Pham needs to work on her bedside manners. I tried explaining why I was referred to this location by my dentist and she was very dismissive. She was speaking over me as I tried to explain and not allowing me to clarify. I had to stop her and verbalize "I feel like you're dismissing what I am trying to explain to you" so she can finally give me a chance to speak. She even stated "you do not have pain". Pain is subjective and to make such a statement when a patient is coming to you for further guidance is ridiculous. She saw me for a good 5 minutes or less, tapped on my tooth, reviewed the x rays, spoke over me, just to say to come back and see another doctor. Then the receptionist tells me do you have any questions about the doctor's plan? I said what plan? Her "plan" was her telling me I needed to see another doctor. However, on my bill she had told them I would require a surgery, which I already knew I needed which is why I came in the first place. If she would have let me explain and actually take the time to listen she would have known that. Waste of my time. The receptionists were great, and so was the dental assistant but that doctor needs a lesson on how to communicate with others. I have been told the Torrance location is better so I will be testing my luck there instead. read more

Worse experience I have ever has in scheduling. I call for an appointment and specifically ask if I could get a treatment in the same day. The receptionist said yes I arrived and check up for a whole hour and they ended up sending me home because they don't have time and they only have 1 doctor that day. Got referred to this location by my dentist for a root canal. It was my first one and boy was Dr. Pak and Hector patient with me! If you're anything like me, you like to know what's happening and essentially just understand what is being done. Dr. Pak was able to walk me through the procedure and explain everything to me. Tbh, I was a nervous wreck going in hahah so much so that his assistant told me I didn't need to worry cause she could tell how nervous I was. Anyway, the procedure went smoothly and Hector helped answer allllll of my questions regarding cost and insurance stuff. I'm happy that my dentist office referred me to this place! Buyer beware - this office used a pressure tactic and the follow up even worse. Came in for a consultation and they tried to incentivize me to stay and have the root canal. They offered to waive the $350 consultation fee if I got in the chair in 15 minutes for an $1795 procedure. This "act now!" offer was super stressful; I asked if I could have a day to decide and still have the consultation fee waived and was told no. Based on this pressure pricing, I decided to pass. It seemed like they cared more about $$ than the patient. Now a month later they call with a bargain rate of $1000! Incredible. I do not typically leave reviews; however, I felt compelled to share my experience given the significance of the service provided. I would like to begin with the positive aspects given that not every element of the experience was negative. I was referred by my general dentist for treatment of pain associated with tooth #15. Dr. Pham diagnosed a cracked tooth and subsequently performed a root canal treatment. I was particularly impressed with the professionalism demonstrated during the treatment and appreciated the attentive care provided. Unfortunately, I was dissatisfied with the manner in which Hector from the front desk handled my case. Initially, I expressed a preference to have the root canal performed by my general dentist, especially after being informed that the procedure at their office would cost nearly $900. Contrary to my request, Hector insisted that the procedure be completed at this office, claiming that my general dentist had already "agreed" for me to get it there. Which I then confirmed to be untrue. While I understand that if one has the financial means, the convenience of having the procedure done at this office may be acceptable, I would have very much appreciated a more patient approach that honored my initial preference. It appeared as though the decision was influenced more by financial incentives for the practice rather than my best interests as a patient. In summary, while the clinical service was of high quality with state-of-the-art technology and a pleasant environment, the handling of the financial aspect by the front desk staff detracted significantly from my overall experience. read more

Although a little uncomfortable (as most dental procedures are), he along with his dental assistant Ashley, made sure I was doing fine the entire time. I didn't feel any pain, it didn't take long, and I'm so glad I came in. The facility itself is clean and everyone here is very professional.
