Great experience! It took only two hours to do my crochet Senegalese twists. She blew my short, natural hair out for me. Then, she braided them to look like individual twists. The braids aren't too tight. I actually left the shop with my hair in a ponytail. Normally, I would oblige. It's a nice, clean shop. The TV was on the whole time. Do not go here. I wanted to get medium size box braids below my bra strap. I'm not a big fan of box braids with the ends left unbraided and that's exactly what happened to me. My braids are chunky at the top and turn super thin before it even reaches my bra strap but because the thin ends are below my bra strap she wanted me to pay an extra $20. I said no. This is not how my braids are supposed to look. I left very confused and thought it would look better once I left the studio because maybe I was over thinking. Wrong, not overthinking. It looks completely uneven. I'm so upset and I call the braider, I could not get a refund because she spent time on my hair so she said would just redo it. Even though I told her multiple times that I'm taking it down and I want my money back. I'm a college student, a broke one at that. I'm a natural hair girl, this is already too much stress on my hair but I'm going on spring break and I looked a mess. I decided to get some of them redone. I assumed it couldn't get any worse. I was right. It stayed the exact same. I showed her what I wanted and the first few braids that were getting redone were fine. I couldn't keep checking because I commuted 30 mins to get there in the rain at 6 in the morning so she can fix it. I was tired. We didn't finish my braids the night before until midnight. On to redo. The back is terrible. In what braiding salon do you have your front braids longer than the back? Is this a new type of bob? It's still really big at the top and super thin. Then she told me that this new non existent length costs $240. Like I would pay her again for this terrible service. I'm extremely pissed off and I don't recommend coming here. I'm removing my braids. She's a nice woman, don't get me wrong but I'm not paying for niceness. I wanted my hair done correctly and she didn't/couldn't do that. read more

Ruth was very nice and was waiting for me when I arrived early. The shop was clean and she put the news on the TV. She asked questions to make sure she understood what I wanted and that I wasn't tender headed. She adjusted the price down to fit the work, (although it was still more than what I have been paying.) and then promptly got to work. I was so relaxed I fell asleep a couple of times. She finished my crochet braids in a little over an hour and I look great. The entire experience was comfortable and relaxing.
