Food: shredded beef taco nice crunch good meat flavor but taste a little bit of the oil from tortilla Service: good Ambience: Boring

It's been a while since I've ate Rosa Maria's and I was honestly disappointed. I don't know if other places are just better or if their quality has gone down. My shredded beef tacos had about a tablespoon of meat in each of them and the burrito was small like a Taco Bell burrito. The bean and cheese burrito and the tacos both lacked flavor. My tacos were all lettuce. The service was ok. They weren't that friendly but they move quickly. The ambiance is ok. There's not very many places to sit to eat there so we always get our food to go.

Cold Bean and cheese and cold taco. Gross.

I have been back here in ages and today I remembered why. Portions are very small and I'm talking child portions for adult prices. I had a shredded beef. 3/10 lacks HEAT because it was cold and inedible. Bean and cheese burrito. 3/10. Tasteless, cold tortilla, hardly warm beans and cheese that wasn't even melted. Cashier was impatient because I was looking at the menu possibly too long, I'm not sure but regardless. I won't be back.

It's not baddd but I feel like there's better? Taquitos were pretty dry and the guac was soupy. Rice and beans were alright. Maybe I'd need to try other foods ! It was small but clean inside. Staff was nice with me. Maybe I'll give em another chance (:

Our waitress has on break, but this was communicated well and rhe other staff stepped in until she returned. We got a mix of drinks and food and loved every sip and bite. I will say the serving sizes are not what I'm used to for a Mexican restaurant but not tiny, around 2 to 3 tacos per plate. I got the birra tacos and I do wish they would have had a side but it wasn't a huge issue. Now the music for the elephant in the room. It was very loud in the small space. I would say club level, which is a lot for a dining experience. It didn't take away too much, just made talking hard. Another summer specific thing to point out, it is not the standard California A/c situation. We were in not way dying of heat, but it was warm. The day's temperature was around 102° so that of course was taken into account. If you have a group of friends that need some yummy food, this is your spot. Just maybe not a 1st date location, OR the perfect 1st date place

Although their prices are high, $16 for a torta, it's usually worth it, because their portions are quite generous. Earlier today, I ordered a torta to go, and I ended up extremely disappointed when I got home. It had literally half the meat, half the beans, and half the cheese that it normally does. This was the first time I'd been disappointed with their food, but I decided to call and express my dissatisfaction. I was passed to the manager who handled the situation in the most unprofessional way. I explained the issue to him, and he insisted that my torta today had the same amount of meat, beans, and cheese as always. I disagreed with him, and he responded angrily, "Everybody makes mistakes!" He raised his voice and repeated it a couple of times. It was completely bizarre that he chose to speak to me as if I was the one who'd done something wrong. It's very childish to do a subpar job and then get upset and frustrated when you're called on it. An adult apologizes and pledges to not blow it again. Anyhow, I don't tolerate disrespectful people so I'm done. I won't spend another penny there.

COCKROACH Believe me!…read more Never thought it would happen to me. First, the host took long and never brought the menu. The waiter brought it, okay. The host brought the tortilla chips. I found a hair in the chips. It was underneath some chips and the rest sticking out. Okay, a hair, asked for new chips from the host since he was passing by and brought the first. I asked for some fresh ones and told him there was a hair in it. Didn't say anything but looked at the chips to see what I was talking about. I got through part of my burrito and felt something oddly crunchy. I was like, wtf, I took it out of my mouth and it was dark and flaky. Part of it looked red and part just too dark. Since I saw what was reddish, I thought it was a roasted pepper , that didn't seem right though. I thought I was a pepper, kept eating. Had some a third of the burrito left and was getting ready to ask for a box. As the waiter was passing, I started looking at the crunchy thing I took out of my mouth and took a closer look. It became more apparent that it was a ROACH . Yes, I unfortunately ate part of it if not most of it. I had been there a few times and never had an issue. I was still in disbelief but asked him what it was. I placed it in his hand. He said it looked like shrimp, that it turns dark when it's cooked, but it still shouldn't be there he said. I was just tripping on it and was like, no, but then was like it has to be. What else could it be? There's no way shrimp gets like that, I don't eat shrimp. I don't know what it turns out looking like... They didn't charge me for the meal. Marco's first reaction though when I told him was like ugh, you're going to put me through this and went off looking back at me. Yes, I put him through it. His service was mediocre but still gave him a decent tip. You tell me what it looks like. I was nauseous and disgusted all night and to this day. UNBELIEVABLE!

I love their bean and cheese burrito, my son is all about the carne asada burritos, and my daughter surprisingly goes for the burgers and fries. As one can imagine, we have seen many changes over the years here in Redlands, some good, and some not so good. But ... we could always count on Cucas to be GOOD and consistent with their food. However, we both have noticed that lately the burritos aren't the same, specifically the red and green burritos. I've always bragged that Cucas has the best bean/cheese burritos hands-down! But we've noticed that the beans are more dry and pasty now. Cucas' beans were always a little on the runny side all through the years and they were delicious! When I would cut my burrito in half, the beans would come pouring out a little bit ... yum! Not only are the beans now more dry and pasty, but when I order a green burrito, there is literally NO green sauce! I started ordering EXTRA green sauce, and there was still LITTLE to NO green sauce! And I always order sour cream as well, but lately there is a small little squirt at the very top of the burrito, and a small little squirt at the bottom of the burrito, with none in between! What the heck?? I'm sure they wouldn't make their own burrito like that, or their family member's burrito like that! I even started ordered EXTRA sour cream as well, but still there was LITTLE to NO sour cream! The old Cucas NEVER made the burritos like that. Seems to be some "shrink-flation" going on ... ? And let's not forgot that we are charged extra $$$ for the "so called extra" green sauce and sour cream! Unfortunately I will no longer order burritos from Cucas. New people moving to Redlands do not have a comparison, so they just accept this. In closing, I would like to say that the ground beef tacos are bomb! Lot's of meat, not skimpy, and also not skimpy on the sour cream for the tacos, only the burritos. So sad, I miss "old" Cucas from days gone by ... sniff sniff :-(

On this visit, I had the BZ Torta which is their signature Carnitas Torta cradled in their pillowy-soft Telera Bread. An incredible sandwich!
