Theres no words to describe the heavenly food here. While it was my 1st and only time I have no gripes as others. Usually on my first visit I like to try a variety if possible to sample and gauge their strengths amd weaknesses. I didnt experience weaknesses. I had couple years ago ate next door and had been hesitant to try this place which I much regret now have waited this long. Food is amazing at least the 4 tacos and dessert that I had. Some places can say they have a few dishes that are superb these tacos were superb in their own right. Comparing asada to asada and birria to birria elsewhere these are hands down the best ive had in Colorado if not anywhere. Ive had El Gordos in LV and La Taqueria innSF which has been voted #1 in the U.S.; these are up their with their own twist. While the other places are more street tacos these I would compare in all aspects as far as atmosphere, presentation and price to a taco restaurant thats been rated in top 10 in Denver;flavor wise? These just put those to shame with perfect presentation, customer service and most of all perfectly cooked and flavored meats and specific salsa in addition to hand made tortillas. I had a Tijuana which is asada on bottom right. A Birria bottom left , chicken tinga and fish Ensenada which is the only place I've found to do it justice. Many places serve it with lettuce which is a big No No for me. The salsas were perfectly balance and fused well with their respective type of taco. The dessert? I was suggested the guava cheesecake but had to decline due to the price, I love churros with ice creams which onbmenue does not come with ice cream. Even though price ended up being same as guava cheesecake I was satisfied maybe. $1-$1.50 less would be ideal but the churros were made fresh, plentiful and just the right amount of ice cream with a side of caramel. The presentation was top notch but my cell battery was done by then. Would definately suggest you try them if you're not a cheapskate and think 3 marisoles is great. Someone mentioned Hacienda Jalisco which while good those restaurants are completely different and their tacos will not compare to these. The attention to detail in decor, service, presentation and flavor is unlike anything. Roberto was my server and his professionalism and experience is evident from the get go. She was rude and extremely slow even though there was only one other table. I had to go to the bar to ask for my check, after waiting 15 minutes for her to come back to our table after clearing plates. Also, apparently they do not accept cash, but don't warn you about it before hand? So be prepared to pay with card. Place is really fun to be in because of the decor and atmosphere. It was very busy on a Friday night but we got a seat within 4 minutes. We had our stroller which there was no room for so we had to break it down and put it under our table. We ordered the queso Blanco which is probably the best white queso dip I've ever had. They had yummy peppers, onions and tomatoes in it that made it so good! Unfortunately the chips to dip it in weren't very good. They weren't warm and had very light to no salt on them. For drinks, I ordered an horchata. It had way too much cinnamon and was very watery. For our dishes, we ordered a kids quesadilla with chicken, molcajete style fajitas with shrimp, and a single carnitas tacos. I shouldn't have added chicken to my little girls quesadilla as it made it super soggy. Thankfully she was so hungry she at least ate like 5 bites of it. My husband liked his Fajitas and I enjoyed getting to eat some of his rice and beans that came with it. I've never had such good tasting rice and beans at a Mexican restaurant! I got a single carnitas taco after seeing a picture that looked like the carnitas were a very fatty meat served. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The carnitas on the taco had tons of fat pieces. In addition to that, the meat was barely luke warm and it was topped with cold pico and cold guacamole so I ate a very cold dish. On top of that the tortilla was super soggy from the juice from the carnitas. I was really bummed about all of it as I thought it was going to be so good. My husband mentioned the cold dish to the waitress which she said she'd get me a new one. The second one was made much better. They actually fried the corn tortilla a little so the edges had some crispiness to it. The meat was still fatty but they had served me a few better pieces. And it was definitely warmer. Overall, this place gets 4 stars solely for the queso dip, beans and rice. They have a related sister restaurant in Littleton at 8355 N Rampart Range Rd Unit 109 Littleton, CO 80125. We have always had great food here. The service has always been fine, until last week. There's not many tables given the number of servers. We waited 15+ minutes until I waved at a server who then found the person dedicated to our table. This server very loudly stated she knew and would get to us when she was ready. Once she finally came over, we gave our food and drink order quickly. We needed up getting the totally wrong drink. Finally got our food and took a VERY long time to get our check. Maybe a bad day for the server, but with that many staff and such few tables we expect a little more. read more
