For the food it is definitely 4.5 stars. This 2 star review is for the customer service or lack thereof (or perhaps their process of food pick up?) I ordered a pie which this lovely young girl (Dayna) said it would take 20 minutes. WHELP, 30 minutes go by and I still did not hear my name so I went up to inquire. She looked right THROUGH me as I asked her about my pie. It was dismissive or perhaps indifference. Either way she did not acknowledge me and blankly stared past me. Perhaps her battery was turned off for a break or she was wearing AirPods? The young man next to her responded to me instead and found it IN THE BACK. An average person likes their food hot so I am still not sure why no one called my name. When I looked at the receipt it shows TO GO/PICK UP. Perhaps they thought it was a call in order and put it in the back? (I'm making up excuses for them because they did not bother to explain it to me.) Either way, this method needs to be improved because I ordered it directly with Dayna while she was plugged in and paying attention. There's got to be a better way so the staff knows to call out the name on the order. I sat and waited for my pizza which became colder by the minute by the time I got home. There was No apology for wait, no excuse for delay, barely a "buh-bye". Pizza's great, customer service needs fixing or they might start losing business regardless how great the pizza is. read more

I dont remember the exact prices but they are rough estimates - hot honey pepperoni Sicilian $5.45 - regular slice $4.30 - Poland water bottle $1.80 Regular slice $3.50 Regular Sicilian $2.75 Decor is cool for a pizza spot in an open mini mall location, but the food is lacking. Both of our slices were Luke warm and not that memorable. Sauce felt a bit generic and no added zazz to it. My pepperoni Sicilian was also lacking in cheese unfortunately, but I did taste the hot honey used. The regular cheese crust had no nice chew to it. I do like that they have "dining" in the back, Italian ices in the buckets, and big looking chicken cutlet sandwiches in display. read more

I'm honestly not sure how Rosa's Pizza stays in business. I couldn't wait to get home and write this review after such a horrible experience. I arrived at around 11:15 AM, shortly after they opened at 11:00 AM. I ordered two slices and went to use the bathroom. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting--there was no toilet paper in either dispenser. I actually had to go into the men's room just to find some. Considering this was first thing in the morning, it was extremely disappointing and made me question whether the bathrooms had been cleaned at all. Then came the pizza. I ordered an upside-down slice and a honey pepperoni slice. The upside-down slice had an unbelievably hard crust and was barely enjoyable to eat. The honey pepperoni slice was even worse--I ended up throwing it in the trash after just trying it. Unfortunately, this was an all-around terrible experience, from the condition of the bathroom to the quality of the food. I will absolutely never dine here again. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Came to this pizza shop because I didn't have a choice extremely rude workers male workers who take the order... throwing the Pizza sounding very annoyed when taking the order as if you're bothering them they need to get properly trained nowadays people coming out to eat and spending extra money. This is the place for a great slice, especially if you like your pizza hot. I got a drunken grandma slice. The best! Loved the sauce and the crust was crispy. My daughter got a regular slice. It was huge! They were super busy, but they move fast checking you out. There is also plenty of seating. Lots of great slices to choose from so come hungry. I live in Middle Village and had a bad taste in my mouth after eating at the Rosa's here. The places are like day and night. I'll definitely be back. read more

This pizzeria is an outpost of the famous Rosa's of Maspeth which is famous for its upside down Sicilian slices. This is located in the Bay Terrace shopping center, part of it being located in what was once Jack's Pizza which was a childhood favorite and was expanded for this pizzeria. The decor is nice and modern looking with booths and regular seating. And the service is was nice and reasonable. But I was not overly impressed with the pizza as a whole. As stated in some of my previous reviews, I have stated that I have gastritis. There were two types of white pies which didn't look too appealing to me and I was tempted to have a spinach pinwheel, but I decided to have two Caesar salad slices. On the whole, the slices themselves tasted fine and the grilled chicken was cooked and seasoned well. But the slice was wider than I'd like and the salad on the slice seemed like it was just put on. No offense, but I've had slices like this at other joints that had better umami and this lacked that and felt too heavy. This pizzeria does its job adequately for what it is, but there are better choices in the area and I've had better Caesar salad slices at other places. This is a local pizzeria that people in the neighborhood can enjoy, but it is not a destination pizzeria where you'd drive distances for. read more

We came by a couple weeks ago and ordered a couple slices of the specialty pizzas and they were all so delicious! Usually when we buy pizza parlors, we order whole pies or split some individual slices or get a plain slice and call it a day. The Sicilian pepperoni slice caught my eye and I haven't had it in ages. For some reason coming here, I wanted to try it. They gave me a corner slice and I hope the next time I'm back, they have more available. Before this spot opened up, Jack's was one of the better pizza places in the area. Enter Rosa Pizza which is a nice looking, modern pizza place. I can only give it 3 stars because their Sicilian is solid. However, a pizza place also needs to be judged on a regular slice or pie, and this one didn't measure up. The sauce lacked seasoning, and the cheese wasn't spread evenly. Also, the pizza was thick, unlike the thin pies you can get at Amore or Baybridge. Counter service was quick, but the lady dining attendant who had been working there for years needs to be trained better in customer service, doesn't smile, and would not say thank you after paying the check. Terrible customer service. The staff at Rosa Pizza were rude, dismissive, and acted like helping customers was an inconvenience. Simple questions were met with attitude, and there was no effort to be polite or professional. One of the older gentleman behind the counter mixed up my to go order with another persons' dine in order and when this was pointed out, it was met with a roll of the eyes and "Oh my God" - for HIS own mix up. Not only incompetent but rude. The food is just ok, definitely not worth it when the experience is completely ruined by how poorly customers are treated. Came here for a quick bite after running errands and shopping in bay terrace. The restaurant interior is very nice with seating for dine in and if you order pizza at the counter to stay but the customer service when I was ordering felt a little bit rushed as the people behind the counter kept staring me down while I decided as I can be very indecisive when it comes to my food and then one guy was confused by whether or not I wanted to stay or get it to go after I had clearly said for here. It also took me awhile to find the spices but they do have a spice table/station behind the small booths. Pizza tasted great and price is reasonable for what you get. Rosa's pizza was a big surprise for me. When there was another pizza place in Bay Terrace it was nothing special. Yet here we are years later and we have a pizza place that can hold its own with the best of them. The sause is pure Sicilian tasting and there's always plenty of cheese. The place gets crowded with families especially on the weekends. The other special thing that Rosa's has is an amazing staff. One gentleman who takes your orders at the side counter has the best disposition and I seriously thought he was a co-owner. As he just told me he just has the old school value's. I haven't met a bad employee yet. And that's what's going to keep the people coming here for a very long time. read more

UPDATE: WILL NEVER GO BACK GROSS! Apparently a chunk of wavy brown hair (about 2 inch long each) found on a mushroom slice is "normal" - according to the manager. I've posted the pictures of what I found in my pizza, so you can be the judge of whether or not mushrooms have hair. I've been a huge fan of the food here.. until today. As my usual routine, I grab mushroom slices to go. I bit into it and found a chunk of unchewable hair in my mouth. Upon closer examination, there's way more hair stuck in the cheese to be pulled out. I called the store and asked them how this happened and they asked me to return with the slice. I wanted to give them a chance to explain themselves, so I actually drove back with the slice. It gets worse from here. The manager (male, did not get the name) was rude. He showed me his bucket of sliced mushroom (perfectly clean, no hair) and tried pointing to the brown under-side of mushroom is where the hair comes from. I told him I've never seen hair on white button mushrooms in my life. But he continues to stress that mushrooms have hair. He did not apologize nor did he think there were any issues. He had someone bag a new mushroom slice and told me to leave. There was zero apology and the manager was hostile and defensive the entire time. I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about the hair chunk in my mouth, and from pulling more out from my slice. I also feel disgusted with how the manager handled the situation. I will not be going back. If you don't want hair (or other non-food items) in your slice, I'd also suggest not eating here. read more

This place is great! Finally, pizza in bay terrace that does not taste like cardboard! I'm so happy with their slices. They have random bursts of huge traffic so be prepared to wait. I love how fresh their pizza sauce is. You will never have to worry about the food turnover rate because they will not have the same pie sitting out for a few hours. They have a espresso machine and alcohol too. My favorite thing about Rosa's is the rose ceiling. That piece is beautiful and well made. Love it!!!! Will definitely keep coming back. Finally! We have pizza back in the Bay Terrace Shopping Center. For a long time it was Jack's and then it was closed for renovation so grabbing a quick slice was impossible whilst shopping but Rosa Pizza is open and churning out great food. The interior is beautifully modern, spacious and well-lit with tons of room to sit and dine in. As for the pizza itself, sampled a trio of slices - buffalo chicken, vodka and chicken broccoli. The sauce is tasty and rich - it isn't masked by the cheese or toppings which I greatly appreciate. The slices as you can see were loaded with the toppings themselves, they definitely don't skimp so you get a bang for your buck. Highly recommend the vodka and the buffalo chicken. Easily my top 2. Will definitely be back to try the rest of their offerings! read more

A small pizza place in Bay Terrace is a gem. Not only do they have pizza, but a nice variety of Italian food. Sadly, the baked clams were a bit overcooked as the bread crumbs were burned. The side salad was. Dry large and fresh. The shrimp parmigiana and eggplant parmigiana were very good. There is a large choice of desserts. Unfortunately, our waiter was inexperienced and did not let us know the relative sizes of the desserts. We ordered 2 vanilla gelatos only to find out that one would have been good for the four of us. This pizzeria is new to Bay Terrace, replacing a pizzeria that closed during the pandemic. The pizza and garlic knots are delicious. It's larger than the previous pizzeria. Service is OK. Staff are nice but there's a disorganized line waiting to pay and just one cashier, who's simultaneously taking orders. I order ahead and just pick up. They could use a separate line for pick up only, but would need another cashier. People are gathered around the cashier during meal times, clamoring to place an order. Needs more organization, but it's clean with good pizza. read more
