    Chicken Francaise

Visited this relatively new restaurant with some friends on a Friday night. Limited tables indoors but they do offer outdoor seating. There is plenty of off street parking on the side and to the rear of the restaurant. We had reservations and were promptly seated. Our server (I wish I could recall her name) was fantastic. Very friendly, took out drink order quickly (by the way this is BYOB) and asked us if we wanted to put in an order for appetizers. We ordered the following appetizers: pepper shooters, fried calamari and the pork belly. Salads come with every meal and a nice small charcuterie board is complimentary. My steak came out exactly as I ordered it and was tender, well seasoned and hot when I received it. The chicken was very tasty and always also served hot. I really can't say enough about he server. She was a young darker haired girl with a great personality and very confident when she read us the specials. She even made a few suggestions, all of which were very good. The atmosphere is really nice and bother owners came to our table at the end of the evening. The owners were very cordial and talked to use for a short period of time. I wish the owners the very best of luck but I don't think they'll need it as this is a very well run restaurant. The pricing was very reasonable and overall, an excellent choice for a nice dinner.

    Complementary charcuterie to start

Very cozy small atmosphere so I suggest to make reservations! We enjoyed the food reminded me of the old Billy bs in dunmore. I love that they start you off with a complementary little charcuterie board!! The service was very good. But the cook just read the order wrong. I ordered medium well they thought it was medium so they cooked it back up for me and it was delicious.. my husband enjoyed the fish also.

Pork belly, not as crispy as I though. But it was tender good taste.

Food and service are excellent but the place is a bit small and gets crowded and difficult to move around and get seated comfortably.

Warm, attentive service without hovering...exactly what you want for a special night. We started with the fried calamari and shrimp cocktails. Calamari was golden, tender, zero rubbery pieces, and the shrimp cocktail was huge, fresh, and perfectly chilled. Already a win. For mains, we went all out: Ribeye Steak cooked to a perfect medium-rare with a great sear, Rack of Lamb that was tender and seasoned beautifully, Lobster Crab & Seafood Fra Diavolo with just the right kick, and the Crab & Shrimp Spinach Fettuccine was creamy, packed with seafood, and didn't skimp on the crab. Every plate came out hot and every bite was spot-on. Portions are generous, vibe is cozy but still feels special enough for a 50th, and they even helped us make the birthday moment memorable. No rushed tables, no attitudejust great food and genuine hospitality. If you're in Simpson or driving through, Frank's Place is worth the stop. We'll be back with more friends in tow. Thanks for making her 50th so perfect!

Past two times we've been there we went around 7 and they said they were "closed". It sucks because we travel 30 minutes to get here and my mother has a cane and on Mother's Day we were turned away even though we had a reservation (when we called the person must've been new because they said nothing about them closing early) and on Google (which is what my mother uses not every person uses Facebook) they still said 9. We obviously won't come again but the food is good!

We met the owner, Stefano, and despite the restaurant being at its busiest peak, he couldn't have been more welcoming, kind, and attentive. Speaking Italian with him instantly brought us back to Italy. He embodies the warmth and hospitality we miss so much. The food was authentic, fresh, and clearly made with great attention to detail. We tried a little bit of everything on the menu, and every dish was outstanding. Honestly, it's hard to choose a favorite because everything was so good. Even our kids said they felt like they were back in Italy. They especially loved the pizza. If you're looking for real Italian food, outstanding service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Piciocchi's is a must. We can't wait to come back!

I was visiting from Brooklyn to see my family in the area. My friend, who's a local, told me about…read morea place that makes their own pasta and how they have a great lunch. Ok I'm in, I'm Italian, homemade pasta is right up my alley. We sat down, friendly staff (young and distant), but an extremely strange setting. It was like walking into a Wayfair showroom with a pasta kitchen. The branding was a bit horrid in my opinion, but I work in that industry, so I couldn't get over the esthetic before I even got to the food. The TV "paintings" with random art were the "highlight" truly... I'm being too kind. The wedding table numbers, really were killing me in the worst way. This place was like a mishmash of identities with no real clarity of execution or strategy on how to accomplish what they're trying to be. A crash landing of ideas with no real destination. Now the food and drink! The plates were the size of a small luggage! For starters, the "fresh" bread they offered with a rancid tasting olive oil and the tiniest drop of balsamic vinegar was appalling. The calamari was decent at best... it tasted factory made, the coating was thick and it came with the tiniest portions of sauce. I want my calamari, piping hot, with a really thin coating and a ton of sauce, that's just me. The chicken cutlet was a flavorless flour-dredged slab of meat. Barely pounded out and coated in a thin breading, with no seasoning, and it was crazy big! The Gnocchi four cheese was like eating dough turds in glue. The texture was not good at all, and reminded me of undercooked packaged pasta, and weirdly overcooked all the same time... like the water wasn't boiling and they added the pasta in while it was cold. Gnocchi should be pillowy soft and should literally fall apart in the mouth and the cheese sauce should not be like hair gel stuck to the food. It's Italian food, it's supposed to be herbaceous and well seasoned, this was food for non-Italians, who think they could like Italian food if it was just a little more bland and assimilated... without all the immigrant culture, ya know?! The best portion of the dish was the non-alcoholic drink, which is saying a lot. I genuinely hate to leave a terrible impression, but I really hated this meal, and I'm shocked by the reviews. It would seem a lot of people are here for the big portions and cheap food. Not a quality food experience. Everyone's got their own taste!

I highly suggest you call in your order as there was only one person ahead of me and I waited almost 20 minutes for the fresh cooked deliciousness that was my lunch. It was TOTALLY worth the wait; however, if you are limited on time, order ahead. The food was delicious! I ordered the chicken/shrimp hibachi, which came with perfectly cooked Japanese fried rice, vegetables (onion, carrot, squash and some kind of bluish cabbage?) and "yummy" sauce (which IS very yummy BTW--ask for extra and thank me later). The shrimp was grilled and not overcooked. The grilled chicken chunks were tender. The food was so good I almost choked on a piece of rice from inhaling my food lol. #IcantbelieveIatethewholething They give you a nice portion of food--I was full a little more than halfway through but it was so good, I couldn't stop eating. Now I want a nap! I am so happy this place is only a hop, skip and a jump from my workplace! Yes, they take credit cards.
