I decided to try this new pizza place. I think they've been open less than a year. Called to pickup two pies, one sausage, one half chicken and I also used their coupon for one free topping which was nice. I got there and they were a little slow to get it out even though I waited before I picked up but overall they were nice about it. The pizza was above average but obviously not amazing. I think their cheese is the main ingredient which is somewhat special as it didn't feel like the average mozzarella. It seemed to melt better and it certainly tasted better. I originally ordered a Sicilian Pie with extra sauce but received it with light sauce. I commented that in review and the next day received a very nice call from the pizzeria apologizing for not seeing the extra sauce request and offered to try again. This shows the determination of the owners to pay attention to client's concerns. They then sent me a Delicious Grandma Pie. It had a very nice crust and good sauce to cheese ratio. Rosalias is the epitome of "okay". All of their pizza is pretty mediocre, but we keep coming because it's the closest to us so it's very convenient for a quick bite. The people that work there are really nice though. One thing that really bothers me is their inconsistent health rating. In the last 2 years their NYC health rating had varied from A-C. Makes you wonder what's going on in there, how they got an A (what did they hide) since obviously they can't keep their crap together. It's not that hard to maintain an A. We tried the chicken ceasar pizza twice. Once before the start of the Covid19 shutdown and once during. The first time was much better than the second. Possibly the shutdown limited their use of ingredients because there was noticeably a lot less chicken and lettuce on the pizza. Both times we bought the entire pie so it wasn't just a slice. Have tried ordering from this place several times and an always disappointed. I never thought I'd have to say this but hold the excessive ranch dressing and alfredo sauce on the pizzas. Whose idea was that? It's ridiculous. The calzones and other items we tried ordering were equally horrible. As far as the pizza, I've tried the grandma, broccoli rabe and ricotta, Margherita, and Sicilian. Nice crust. Crispy, not soft and floppy. Fresh cheese, not waxy and thick like cheap dollar joints. Garlic knots were slathered in garlic and smelled so good, but those were a bit hard and dry. I also tried their chicken francaise which was swimming in so much sauce, but had a good flavor. Quality: Tried three slices Plain, Vegetarian, and Margherita. My issue with all three was the crust. Very small on the edges and all crunch, no softness. The Plain was probably the best of the three, as the sauce and cheese combination was good. The Vegetarian was a little too overloaded making it a hard to keep on the plate. Quantity: The pizza slices were standard in size. Value: $2.50 for a Plain Slice and $0.75 for each topping. Ambiance: Rosalia's Pizzeria is located in the Forest Hills area of Queens. The shop has you order in the front and sit in the back. The dining area is mixed with storage, so most folks grab food for the road. They had a television in the back corner playing a celebrity update show way too loud. Crowd: We shared the dining area with a small family, but several people stopped in for pick-up. Service: A little slow and chaotic when ordering, but I believe they were changing shifts. Parking: Street parking is doable. read more

The first spot I wanted to try was apparently closed, which really pissed me off because it said it was open on Yelp. Nonetheless Rosalia was there to the rescue! Literally saved my hangry self from chewing off my boyfriend's head. I was hesitant but noticed Foodbaby has stopped by here so it must be worth trying. So glad the first place fell through because Rosalia was worth every single bite that I devoured. I ordered a little bit of everything because well I did mention I came hangry. After a 16 hour fast a girl needs her fuel. I ordered a grandma slice and a mushroom slice and the boyfriend ordered a Margarita slice and a pepperoni slice. We also ordered pepperoni pinwheels and checked in for those oh so yummy free garlic knots. I'm not sure what kind of cheeses they put on their pizza but it was mouthwateringly delicious. I loved how they don't overpower the sauce and all the flavors just compliment each other. I also enjoyed how thin their slices are, which is also dangerous because I could see myself wanting to eat more slices. The marinara sauce that came with the garlic knots was also really good because I could taste the tomato flavor as if they just sliced it right open. If we're ever walking around the neighborhood again, I will definitely consider stopping by here again in the future. Rosalia's makes great pizza and that's why it pains me to write this review. This past Halloween, I ordered a pizza at 6:20pm and was notified that it would arrive by around 7:30. After an hour I called and they told me they were waiting for their delivery guy to return. Another half hour passed so I called again. No answer. After a couple attempts I got Grubhub involved and when they reached the restaurant they received the same answer. At 9:30pm my wife ran out to the grocery store to get frozen food because we were starving and it was too late to order anything else. After 10pm (closing time), having heard nothing from the restaurant, I canceled my order. I never received a phone call, an email, any sort of apology. I do not believe in writing bad Yelp reviews without first speaking directly to the business, but after messaging Rosalia's through their website and receiving no response for weeks (all I asked for was an apology), I'm making my complaint public. I know Halloween is a bad time to order delivery, but it's extremely unprofessional to not alert a customer that their food is not going to arrive at all. Despite the good pizza, Rosalia's has lost at least 5 customers thanks to apathetic management. Try Gino's or Barosa. read more

The pasta with vodka sauce and added grilled chicken was fantastic. Not too heavy on the sauce yet not dry, just right. The bolognaise on top of spaghetti was loaded with beef and very flavorful without too must salt added. Garlic knots were perfect and not overloaded with garlic. The pizza however, was a huge disappointment. The crust was not like what you expect from a pizzeria making fresh dough. It was very flat and not flavorful whatsoever. We came here due to its close location to us and offering cash back via Groupon (if you spend above $14). An order of 2 margarita slices, 1 pepperoni slice. and 1 "white" slice, 2 drinks and an order of garlic knots came to be $17. Not bad price-wise. Taste-wise, pizza wasnt amazing but it satisfied my pizza craving. Disappointed that the pepperoni pieces ontop were small compared to the usual big ones. I work at a franchise down Queens Blvd, not far from the place I've ordered from. Since my coworkers and I were on the clock, we had no choice but to order for delivery (instead of pickup). Ordered around ~520 and by 630p I called for an update because the order status said 6:22pm and delivery would take 45-60mins. The girl who answered apologized and said the kitchen was still making it... I said okay and she said she would call me back to let me know it was done and on it's way. 7p rolls by and my coworkers and I are getting agitated. I call once more and she said that the food was right 'here' (next to her maybe?) and that the delivery guy was on his way. I didn't yell, I just remained calm and said okay. She kept apologizing to me but the food was still not coming... Around 7:15 it finally came, mind you, almost 2 hours now. I check the food, it was still hot! That's great! But that also means it was JUST made! Anyways... everything was correct EXCEPT my garlic & oil with rigatoni pasta was wrong, it was made with marinara sauce. I was really annoyed so I gave her one final call and told her my order was wrong. I could tell she was so stressed so I told her that it was fine, I just wanted to let you know.
