Mushroom and truffle grandma, vegetable and pesto grandma, cheese slice.

All three slices were really good. I really enjoyed the mushrooms and truffle pizza. Looking forward to trying it again.

While walking along the main drag of stores on Austin St in Forest Hills, we always see people carrying Austin Street Pizza boxes and we were intrigued to try them out. In this corner store, the food prep area is way bigger than the seating area with a couple of stacks of smaller steel pizza ovens instead of the big hulking ones you normally see at other neighborhood pizzerias. The tables are only 2 seaters with both low tops and high tops, so if you have 3 or more people, you have to scramble to grab chairs to huddle around a small square table. You can order your pizza by the slice, in 18" Neapolitan/NYC style, in 14" diameter "personal" size or square/rectangular Sicilian style, also by the slice. The specialty pizzas on the menu come in all these styles. Some of the flavor/toppings are unique and almost artisan style, not your average sausage and pepperoni. I kept hearing people ordering the truffle & mushroom slice, while we were waiting on our fresh baked pies. We tried the Porchetta & Broccoli Rabe and the Bacon, Caramelized Onion & Vodka Sauce, both in the 14" round size for the 3 of us, along with an order of 6 garlic knots. The knots came with a couple of cups of sweet marinara sauce for dipping. I'm not shy about double dipping, so I grab a cup for myself. The pizzas were hot and bubbly when our server brought them to the table. She had brought a couple of pizza stands so that we would have table space to eat, which was very thoughtful. The Porchetta & Broccoli Rabe pie had a mix of cheeses and I could smell the pungent-ness of provolone. The Vodka Sauce on the other pie gave it a nice sweet taste, but I wish there was more bacon. The crust was excellent and had the signature blisters of a well baked crust. I can't wait to come back to try all the other flavor combinations!

    Pesto Sicilian margarita slice

If you know, you know -- and now I definitely know. 7th Street Pizza just gave me one of the best pizza experiences I've ever had. First off, the slices are massive, thin, and perfectly crisped on the bottom with just the right chew in the crust. You can tell they care about the dough here -- it's got that airy, golden blistered edge that only comes from real skill. I tried their classic Margherita slice and a Sicilian-style slice with pesto drizzle. The Margherita was pure perfection: vibrant tomato sauce with a fresh, tangy bite, creamy mozzarella that melted into every bite, and those fragrant basil leaves that hit you with a burst of freshness. Simple, but executed flawlessly. The Sicilian slice? Unreal. Fluffy yet crisp crust, rich tomato sauce, just the right amount of cheese, and the pesto added a garlicky, herby punch that made it addictive. You can taste the quality of the ingredients -- nothing feels cheap or thrown together. Service was quick and friendly, and even eating in my car felt like an event because the pizza was that good. If you're anywhere near this place, make the stop. It's not just pizza -- it's a slice of happiness.

    Vegan veggie pie

The very best vegan pie I've ever had! Because it's vegan, you have to order a whole pie. I opted for the all veggie with vegan cheese. I was very hesitant because most vegan cheese is.... gross... this wasn't. It was good. Did it taste exactly like cheese? No... but it didn't have that artifical aftertaste that most vegan cheeses have. It was loaded with veggies, olives, spinach, artichokes and a couple of other veggies. I got the personal pie, 6 substantial pieces.. it took about 10 or 15 to get the fresh steaming hot pie. Thin crispy crust. I also tried the watermelon frozen rose, it was good. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Austin Street Pizza a must if you're in Forest Hills and craving standout square slices with amazing flavors - the crust is just so crispy, flavorful and paired nicely with any toppings. The truffle slice is pure decadence--earthy, creamy, and indulgent. Don't like mushrooms? No problem, just pick them off and I guarantee you will still like it. The spicy sausage vodka slice brings the heat in all the right ways, mellowed out by that rich, velvety vodka sauce topped with burrata. And the pesto margarita square? Bright, fresh, and herbaceous with a gorgeous drizzle of basil pesto on every bite. You honestly can't go wrong with any of them. They also serve up sangria, which is such a plus. It's fruity, just sweet enough, and makes the whole experience feel more like a chill hangout than a typical pizza stop. Perfect for a quick bite, catching up with friends, or just treating yourself to a solo pizza party. Staff is very friendly and service is great.

Ever since they open every time we try any of their pizza we thoroughly enjoy: from their ultra thin slices (that must be eaten there and fresh) to a whole truffle pie and burrata salad takeout we enjoyed today. They are pretty fast and no long waits and ambiance is bright and open.

Come here! Definitely the best NY style pizza in the neighborhood. Staff is friendly - ingredients are fresh. Your best neighborhood option if you're looking for a slice shop.

    Nick G.

Tried this place for the first time and every slice I had was solid across the board. The plain cheese slice hit that classic NYC style comfort zone, good balance of sauce and cheese with a crust that had the right chew. The margherita slice had fresh basil and a lighter, cleaner flavor without losing that satisfying bite. The standout for me was the upside down vodka slice. The sauce had a rich, almost creamy depth to it, and flipping the order of cheese and sauce somehow made it feel more indulgent. Crust held up well on every slice. Highly recommend.

Austin Street Pizza has never failed me! As a pizza lover, I don't have just one place that I love. I have preferred pizza shops in various locations and in this area, this is it for me. It's usually packed but you're able to place your order quickly. I love the crust, the slight oven burn and smell, the way that impacts the texture of the crust and the freshness of everything on top. My go to is the margarita. Can't get enough. Pricing is what you'd expect to pay in Forest Hills- their rent is costly I'm sure and for me, the pizza is well worth it. Keep in mind, that a ton of city workers, especially cops and law enforcement favor the space for large group gatherings so it gets pretty loud. This isn't the ideal place for a first date- not if you want to hear each other. Other than that, you can't lose.

Best pizza in the area for sure!! Amazing crust and fun special slices :) No delivery but it's worth it to take a walk and pick it up, that's how good it is

Love coming here for some slices my favorite is the mushroom truffle slice and the underrated meatballs this one I definitely recommend eating while it's hot and enjoy the savory cheese pull (it's always packed and full and they don't disappoint).

Both items came out together like we asked and was far too much food for two. My first bite of the pizza was hot, crunchy, and delicious. I love fresh oven pizzas with a crispy bottom crust. The chefs did an amazing job cooking it just right. I also loved the fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. It really elevated the pizza to another level. The crust was great all around with a slight oven char. Lastly the calzone took me by surprise as it had no sauce and was filled with ricotta cheese as opposed to mozzarella. It came with a small cup of hot marinara sauce for dipping/pouring. It was definitely an interesting calzone but don't think it was worth the price. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and Nick's and would highly recommend it. I do wish the pricing was a bit more fair when it came to full vs half pie toppings as well as the calzone.

My friend has a newborn and we were trying to find restaurants in the area that would be stroller-friendly (which actually isn't an easy task, to my surprise) and finally landed on Nick's because we had gone there together when it reopened. And it always seems very family and kid-friendly. We definitely went to the right place. I'm not a parent and I've never pushed a stroller without some bumps here and there, and I was so worried about helping get the stroller through the 2 doors. One of his staff saw us from the inside and immediately came out to help as soon as we reached for the door. Nick's paternal instincts definitely came into full effect because he looked out for us and wanted to give us the best seats so that we can have the stroller beside us. The pizza is excellent and I absolutely would come here over again and again, but the warm service from Nick himself and his staff is what truly makes this place so special in the community for so long. I didn't get a chance to come here during those formative years before the fire but when the restaurant finally reopened last year, it was incredibly sad to hear Nick explain how the fire and rebuilding devastated him and the business for over 2 years.

They're great, and the service is phenomenal. I wanted to comment about their catering, because they shined here. I had my kid's birthday party over at Dream City and needed to order pizza. We also had a guest who was lactose-intolerant, and another who was gluten-free. My son also has an egg allergy, so when I called to confirm that there was no egg in their pizza dough, they confirmed that it was correct. Some old school NY pizza joints don't appreciate this question, but the owner here was kind and understood exactly why I would want to ask this question. They also made sure that my guest who was lactose-intolerant wouldn't have a pasta dish made with any butter or milk. They delivered the 8 pies, gluten free personal pizza, and pasta for my lactose-intolerant guest right on time. I had placed the order a few days before, so I was worried about them being on time, but that wasn't an issue at all. Everyone raved about the pies, and our guests with the food intolerances were happy with their food, too. The delivery driver was pleasant and made sure things went where they needed to. If you need a good pizza caterer in the area, look no further than Lillian's.

I felt slightly intimidated from the look of the place on the outside because it would seem like a middle class to upper class Restaurant but inside, it does look very nice but the setting is very much casual for its basically an upscale Pizzeria. However I didn't have pizza in mind, I went for something bigger and that would be the Chicken Parmigiana along with Root Beer which tallied up to $32 so not too bad. I contemplated about getting Dessert but I ultimately forgone it, which was a good decision in the long run because the chicken parm order was surprisingly hefty. I've gotten used to smaller portions being served in restaurants nowadays and I was expecting I'm gonna be hungry later eventually, but I sure was proven wrong. That meal filled me up proper, a little too proper because I felt absolutely stuffed after eating it all. I'm not one to complain about a good problem. Sure I felt uncomfortable, bloated and sluggish after eating that meal but I will take that any day in the week over feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled because if you're gonna spend $30+ on a meal, you SHOULD get your money's worth and that was a meal I could very well split with two and felt very fine with that. So props to PC for a gut busting meal, for the price I paid for lunch, I should feel like I'm going to spontaneously combust, better that than still feeling empty.
