We had about a 15 minute wait which wasn't bad for a Friday night and a party of 6. The margaritas were great and still on happy hour! Our group was split regarding the taste of the food. The fajitas and birria tacos were good, the tamales were just okay. Our service while there was not the best, I had to ask three times for a water. I am hoping once the hype goes down the service will improve. I will be back probably once the patio opens up. It looks like it will be a great patio location For parents of young children, there is a family bathroom that has a changing table. The door is a little tucked away. read more

If it's day time they have a serious problem with bugs near the window seats - Flies and Gnats everywhere. 2. They don't have à la carte options. We had a great experience at Rosalita's Cantina. The margaritas were excellent and definitely one of the highlights of the visit. The chips and salsa were really good, and the guacamole was outstanding -- fresh, flavorful, and easily one of the best parts of the meal. The food overall was solid. Personally, I thought the tortillas were a little sweeter than my preference, but my wife absolutely loved them, so that really comes down to taste. The atmosphere was fun, service was friendly, and we'll definitely be back for the margaritas and guacamole alone. Great spot for a casual night out. read more

I think Rosalitas always does a great job with the atmosphere. The colors and decor draw you in! I ordered the spicy margarita in the 20 oz which tasted like watered down lime juice and did not have hardly any tequila in it. the queso was just okay. the guac was pretty good but they make it look like you are getting a lot more than you get by placing it on a bed of lettuce. I ordered the fajitas and they were just alright. It took a long time for our waiter to come around and he did not check on us hardly at all after delivering our items. for the price of everything I think it's not worth the hype honestly. read more

This is a beautiful building and new to the area. When we arrive, we were told a 30 minute wait but we did not have to wait 30 minutes before getting seated. The restaurant is very large. They took us to a booth. It's pretty close with kind of private and very nice. We arrived with plenty of time with happy hour left over, but since it took them so long to see us, they would not honor it, which was frustrating Sophia R was our server and she messed up our tickets. For example I had ordered the guacamole and there were five of us and she split it between three checks which doesn't make sense and it was just something that I had ordered for myself. We also had ordered a margarita pitcher with no ice and she brought us a pitcher full of ice hardly any margarita. So we had to order another and yet again they brought it filled to the brim with ice. Even the receipt said no ice. Very slow service. We thought we had our order ready and then it ended up. They brought us the wrong order. They took it back. Hopefully it made it to the right table. We had to ask for things multiple times like and our waters. Incredibly large and ornate interior with a giant wrap around bar, huge booths and a more secluded dining room area. The patio wasn't quite finished yet but promises to be just as elaborate as the inside! We sat at the bar and the bartender was incredibly friendly and was taking the time to teach the new staff members the ropes. Beer selection isn't bad and the margaritas are tasty yet expensive. Everything is actually quite expensive. Most entrees will run you between $20-$30. Rosalita's does stay open late for that late night hunger crave, when most Mexican restaurants don't. My only critique is that the staff and logistics are still getting ironed out. Appetizers took too long to come out and our to-go order really took a long time before it was ready. We were there at 3:30pm on a Saturday with no wait but by the time we left around 5pm it was packed! read more

Still working out the kinks. A pretty long wait and then service was spotty. Just small details, like no utensils when the food was delivered and had to wait a bit while our food cooled, forgot the lemons for water, onions in the fajitas when my friend specifically ordered them with no onions. The servers were very friendly though and we had two servers so I think one was getting trained. The chips and salsa are always a hit and the street corn that I ordered was super yummy. The chicken tortilla soup was just OK. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful though and I'm really looking forward to when they open the patio and coming back for happy hour. Their traditional margarita brings back memories of the old Casa Gallardo. They taste just the same! Yum! read more

I am so pumped about the new Rosalita's in O'Fallon! The menu offerings are very similar if not the exact same as the Des Peres location. We went to celebrate my grandma's birthday with a large group including kiddos and our server was amazing, I wish I could remember her name. I ordered the steak fajitas which were pipping hot with lime margarita. The decor was beautiful too. I can't wait to visit again soon when the outdoor patio is complete. read more

Hot new spot in O'Fallon super nice inside can't wait till outside patio is open. Now there was a 30 min wait but u can go on open table app ahead of time helps. We had my five gfs for girls night out. Drinks n food. Now I'm per person is about 20$-40$ tab depends the meal or drinking. My bill was 100$ for two meals n two drinks. She charged me for guacamole my friend ate n charged everyone for. Mango margarita was good. Bit of a wait n server said kitchen was a mess. Cute decor and how nice they set up the place it doesn't look like a low grade Mexican spot u know. Tons of seating but not enough parking spots so be prepared. read more

Love, love, LOVE Rosalitas. I read the reviews prior to writing this and it's a shame not everyone is in agreement. I reviewed Des Peres location prior to this and feel the same way about that spot. What Rosalitas reminds me of is Casa Guallardo. The atmosphere, the wait staff who are great at what they do, the chips and salsa and the entrees and margs. Everything is great. I had the barbacoa burrito, so large I had to take half home, my wife had a fish entree. Everyone enjoyed the food, conver, and atmosphere, our server Cadance knocked it out of the park, she was outstanding. She also told us that Ofallon location is much better than Des Peres as I brought up when sitting down that this is as nice as Des Peres, after checking the place out further, I agree. When the patio and the banquet room are finished, it will be a super awesome dining experience. As a finisher here, I think the menu is possibly authentic Spanish/Mexican cuisine and that may not be to everyone's taste. It reminds me, as I said earlier, of Casa Gallardo and Ramone Guallardo was big on authenticity of his homelands cuisine. I highly recommend read more

Loved the taco salad with steak and the tacos. We also love that Dierberg's sells the chips, salsa, and queso for snacks at home.

We had to wait an hour but it was dinner time and it was really busy. There was two woman taking drink orders outside. So of course we got one! We got seated within the hour and got carne asada and shrimp fajitas. The flavor on each was perfect! Our server was knowledgeable and very nice! They have uncomfortable seating. Long couch against the wall. My guests I brought there all seniors , sat to high. My sister's food was served cold. Wr order chicken fraitias with shrimp and they charged (without asking us) shredded chicken that we got charged $4.00 extra for and none of them like shredded chicken. I realize they are still adjusting but there are alot of good mexican restaurants in O'Fallon. Ambiance was beautiful seating not so great. read more

It's midweek and thinking it wouldn't be busy, my husband and I decided to give this place a whirl. I should've stayed home and had cheese and crackers. The restaurant is beautiful but the music needs to be toned down just a bit, I couldn't hear myself think and the exterior is still under construction. The ambiance was pleasant, however, the hostesses need to be covered up just a little bit. Perhaps something a little more like black slacks/skirts-shorts that are more. The waitress we had was already in the weeds when we were seated at our booth, which by the way was huge, especially for 2 people. The menu was "eh", not really Tex-Mex just basic. We had uber oily tortillas and salsa complimentary and I went ahead and ordered a side of guacamole. I was disappointed because not only was it not cold, but starting to get that crusty hue of brown. We ordered fajitas to share and that was the beginning of the end. In most Mexican or Tex/Mex restaurants everything comes out at once, the sizzling fajitas, the tortillas and the sides. We received the sides first, and it was already lukewarm. By the time the fajitas arrived the sides were dead cold and the fajitas were not all that either, no sizzle, more like fizzle. The chicken was tender but it was all onions and green peppers, really colorless. We're used to seeing red, yellow, and green peppers. The sides were really lacking in freshness and presentation. It looked like it sat under the lamp for over 10 minutes. The sour cream was melted, the guacamole was completely brown and the beans were runny/crusty if that makes any sense. The manager did come by the table and expressed her apologies on the quality of the food and offered a 15% discount, but still it was just not what all the hype it was made up to be. We personally will not be coming back. This place has a LOT to improve. read more

I so wanted to love this place. It's huge and the atmosphere is very nice. We were welcomed right away by hostess and were told there would be a short wait. It took about 10 minutes and we were seated. Our server, Rachel, came right away offering drinks and giving us the chips and salsa. Chips were very good, hot and fresh, salsa was good too. Great start and we were excited for our entrees. That's where it went downhill. I got the carne asada tacos and my husband got the chicken chimi. I ordered a side of rice since the tacos did come with it. This is the first time we've been to a Mexican restaurant and food wasn't served on hot plates. Both of our meals were room temp at best. My tacos were topped with lettuce, pico de gallo and cheese that looked like the Mexican blend bag cheese you get at the grocery store. Taste was average, but not good. Husband's chimi was ok he said, but he also thought the rice was tasteless and beans weren't very good. I didn't eat my rice after two bites and Rachel took the charge off our bill. I am very disappointed, but I hope it improves and they do well, but I don't think we'll return. read more

My wife and I went on a Friday night and expected a long wait. They told us 50 minutes but we were seated early. That was expected with the crowd. The chips and salsa and we highly recommend the queso cheese dip. It was fantastic. I had the fajitas and Sue had the chimichanga and both were excellent. We've been to several different Mexican restaurants in the area and I think they're all gonna lose business due to this new restaurant. Our server Keaton did a great job and we tipped him well. If you have littles and need a changing table.. DO NOT GO. There are men's, women's, and unisex single toilet bathrooms and NONE of them have a changing table. We will not be back for that simple factor. There were at least 15 babies in the restaurant when we went and I truly couldn't believe they didn't have not even 1 single changing table. On top of that we put our name on the list, got called our table was ready, and when we got inside they took our name off. Once we got sat several minutes later we didn't have anyone come to the table for 15 minutes and my husband tried to ask 3 different employees and was ignored by all 3 walking past. He finally was able to get maybe a manager walking around with a tablet and then she sent someone over. Not the servers fault for not being assigned the table. Food was honestly just not good, had to send back my husband's, and the kids meal honestly my son could barely bite into the chicken tender. You also cannot get tortillas on the side for any meal??? literally not even for fajitas..??? We spent so much money for getting 2 sodas, a kids water, a queso dip, 2 regular meals, and a kids meal. We were excited and it was a horrible first impression. The restaurant is beautiful and I'm sure the patio will be too, but not enough to get us to come back. (Not when I can buy the chips, salsa, guac, queso, etc. at dierbergs since those were the only things we would want to eat again). read more

We came in at 2:30 in the afternoon and it was not busy. We were seated and no one stopped by our table for over 18 minutes. No one stopped by to ask for our drinks, drop off chips, get our order or to just stop by and introduce themselves as our server. While we were seated I saw about 3 servers look over at us but no one made their way to check on us. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. I understand this place literally just opened. I'm hoping it's just a small hiccup as they get their legs under them.
