In addition to Chrissy's years of experience she REALLY LISTENS! I've had terrible traumas with awful cuts and came to Chrissy very guarded and cautious. She consulted with me and asked each appointment what worked or if anything was concerning. Aside from the stellar talent Chrissy is very very reasonably priced and really takes the time to get to know her clients. At first glance, the salon is not busy, but there is hair all over the floor from the last cut before us. We weren't greeted as we walked in, but after filling out the paperwork the stylist/colorist starting warming up to us. She offered suggestions on how to cut my friends hair, and unlike most stylists, she wasn't afraid to give her opinion and go with it. Similar to other reviews, the only other clients are getting their weekly perm set. We'll see how this goes. I will update after the cut is done. Stylist seems more occupied to talk on Skype with her deployed husband than cutting my friends hair. Cute haircuts don't make up for bad service.

She was…read moresuper attentive to what I was wanting and communicated the plan and reasoning behind everything. She also explained what each option would cost/what the maintenance would be like/and what kind of care would be best to support the color, and made sure i understood all of this before making the final decision which I appreciate so much. Kota was also just super friendly and easy to chat with, I genuinely enjoyed spending the day with her while my hair was processing. My hair turned out BEAUTIFUL. I came in with what was leftover from a haircut that I didn't love, and Kota listened and thoroughly explained my options. And I feel so much better about my hair now. And the color is amazing, she did a stunning purple balayage. It was exactly what I wanted and I have gotten so many compliments. In general, the whole atmosphere at the salon felt relaxed and welcoming. Calling ahead to schedule, checking in, chatting with other stylist, etc. All of it was very easy and reassuring. Okay, so I hesitated on writing this however, this is MY experience and every girl knows how…read moreexpensive hair is, so here goes.. I found this salon as it is in my area and when I first arrived I requested someone that is a MASTER at blonde hair. I was very particular and YES picky. Blonde hair is an art. I was paired with one of the stylists and I believe higher ups at this salon, however I won't name names out of respect. On the first visit I had a great experience, she was very personable and listened to what I wanted. I came in with a picture and showed her. The pic was of a shadow root and lighter/more natural towards the ends. She nailed that. However as time when on I became a little upset that I was paying a very high price and the entire time, other than the foil placements, I was with an assistant. This includes the wash and the dry. Meanwhile she was seeing other clients. I truly believe that getting your hair done is a personal experience and that if you're paying for someone who is a master at certain things, then they should be tending to you the entire time. Maybe not ALL the time if they need to slip in a quick cut or whatever. As the seasons changed I told her that I wanted a BRIGHT bleach platinum blonde. I showed her realistic photos of what I meant and I HAVE always had bright blonde. The photos were of my OLD hair before coming here. It just wasn't happening. I couldn't figure out if her formulas were off, she played it too safe or she just wasn't listening, I don't know but I eventually got fed up. I was spending in the $300s (which I have shoulder length hair) and then I felt guilty because of course tips are the norm... but I was tipping the main stylist for work I wasn't happy with on top of the assistant doing all the work. I was told I had "blonde blindness" which I felt a little offended by as I have ALWAYS had blonde hair. I am not a newbie at this. As all of this was happening I noticed the health of my hair declining badly. I noticed breakage all around my face and the ends felt like straw even with using purology and other good brands at home. I was surprised that the hair was so brittle and I wasn't even as blonde as I use to be. I finally found an amazing stylist locally who nailed what I had been asking for all along. She told me that a ton of my hair had broken off and that the damage was from overlapping of foils, which is a no no apparently. I cannot speak for any other stylists in the salon and the atmosphere is very clean and inviting. For me, I let my feelings ride at first about not having the stylist tend to me because if the work was great then fine. But all in all, I wasn't happy. Attached is a photo the new stylist took of all the breakage. In conclusion if you're seeking BRIGHT, platinum type blonde, this may not be the salon for you.

My hair went down to my waist and I made sure to voice that I wanted to keep it long. I told her 1in or 2in max depending on the split ends. I decided to add some light long layers too. She asked me what's the shortest I want my layers and I physically showed her layers near the ends. Very minimal layering. She even made a comment on my decision saying "oh long layers? Okay", so I know she heard. She washed my hair and trimmed my hair first. The trim looked fine. I noticed it was a couple inches shorter than I requested, but it was still long, so it wasn't a huge deal. Then, she started with the layering. She was using techniques I had never seen before and ultimately it left me with most of my hair reaching my shoulders. It's choppy and you can clearly see two separate lengths that do not blend in together. Also, most of my hair is at the shortest length (my shoulders) with very little left at the longer length (which is still shorter than what I requested). In fact the longest part of my hair is at the height I told her was the shortest I would go for the layers. My hair looks thinned out from excessive layers and it looks short! I came for a 1 or 2in trim when my hair was at my waist. She had me pay and leave while my hair Was still wet, so I couldn't see the final result. After I got home and let it dry, I finally saw the damage. There is no fixing this messed up haircut. I have to chop off the longest length now because it looks too choppy. This will take me years to grow back out. We had pleasant conversation so I'm sure she is a nice person, But I would never let her near my hair again. I don't know about the other reviews, but it could be that they have short hair. If you have long hair and want to keep it that way, DO NOT COME HERE.

Besides the basic color and cuts, I also use fusion hair extensions. Jenny is educated on every type of hair extension available and can recommend the best type for your hair.
