Oh wow, what can I say? I haven't read other reviews but whenever I'm in Fallbrook I try to eat here. The green sauce here is the bomb! I don't know how they make it and they won't tell me but they WILL sell it to you. I wish they had birria but birria isn't easy to find in many Mexican restaurants. I'm sure if they did have it it would be fantastic. Their pico is very watery and could use a bit of thickening but tastes ok. The kids absolutely love the rice here. The beans are good but a little bland. I had the Adobada taco which was absolutely out of this world. The red Chile spices were spot on. My lunch date had beef flautas which were delicious. I gave 4 stars simply because the green sauce is so amazing and you absolutely cannot find it anywhere else. We sat outside on the patio which was very pleasant. All the patrons at lunch were outside on the patio. The bathrooms are extremely clean although you do have to go outside the building around the back to use the restroom. That's fine because it's a lot better than having to walk through the kitchen. If you're ever in Fallbrook look this place up and try to have a meal here. Don't forget the green sauce and always ask for more! read more

This small restaurant is family friendly. No frills but has good bones. Patio is great is the better weather months. Especially for some fresh tacos, beers and fun with friends. Green sauce is liquid green gold! Drape it over a burrito or have with your chips! One tv inside and some low music. Would love to see a decorative overhaul inside and out cause it's in a great location! Food is delicious and service is great. Give it a try and stay awhile! read more

Great little restaurant with good food and steady clientele. We sat inside but patio seating was very popular as well! Very quick and friendly service. We ordered the rolled tacos with guacamole and a carnitas burrito in order to test the quality and flavor of the food. The rolled tacos were delicious! Nice thicker corn tortillas that held up well and made ordering the rolled tacos so much more enjoyable! We get disappointed when a good rolled taco gets soggy and falls apart before we're done. The carnitas burrito was tasty and filling. Good portion size. For my own personal preference, it's hit and miss with carnitas a lot of times depending on how it's cooked. I tend to prefer a more home cooked and chunky style cut (with also just a little more fat) but this was very flavorful and satisfying I would order this again. read more

Rosa's Mexican Food is a restaurant I came across when I was picking up a pizza from Dominos's. The restaurant is in the back of a shopping plaza, so it's not the easiest to find. It's quite funny because my parent's cleaning lady in Arizona is related to Rosa and was telling us about her restaurant. We were getting ready to order to go when noticed that they were closing soon. When we called Rosa answered and she said that she was more than willing to make our order. We said we didn't want to make her wait, but she insisted on allowing us to order. We ordered Guacamole, a California Burrito, Beef Enchiladas, and a Carne Asada Burrito. I'm very picky with Guacamole usually, but they truly do have a fresh tasting one. For the price, the size was quite large as well. When I eat a California Burrito, I need a good red salsa. The salsa that they have is the right amount of spice and a great taste. Mixed it with the burrito made is extra tasty. The Beef Enchiladas were smothered with sauce and cheese. Overall, I really enjoyed this dish, but I wouldn't rate it my favorite. Overall, the owner of the restaurant staying open an extra 10 minutes shows true hospitality. It shows she cares about her restaurant and patrons. It was really nice to meet Gloria's sister and they definitely look like sister's. I will be coming back as I really enjoyed the food. I was working in the area and needed a quick take-out lunch, so I ordered a carnitas taco. Wow was it good! Big...not street taco size, this is full size; lean, moist carnitas, onions, guacamole, salsa on the side, only $5 - would not change a thing about it. Ordered enchiladas but only had shredded chicken? Slightly salty. Carne asada on tacos wasn't as fresh as I expected and meat was somewhat dry. Burrito would have been awful without hot sauce. Their green sauce is excellent. The red sauce tasted more like tomato sauce. Overall not impressed and won't plan on going back. read more

The food is absolutely terrible. I thought the prices were decent until I saw and tasted the food. Definitely not worth it. Burritos are small and pretty bland. The carne asada burrito was barley tolerable. The fish burrito was literally microwaved fish sticks and cabbage. The fish sticks weren't even hot and the breading was soft and tasted like raw batter. Decent little Mexican restaurant. It's really small, but wasn't too crowded when we came for dinner. I thought the chicken chimichanga was really good! The meat was seasoned really well and had just the right texture. One thing that was really odd was that the salsa wasn't spicy at all! It was confusing!
